Haven't set foot on the ship for our first cruise yet, but I'm already planning to rebook for 2006! We're considering early to mid November (before the Tgiving prices kick in). Can anyone tell me how the weather is then? Is there any downside to cruising at this time? Thanks!

DW and I did our first cruise this past November, departing on 11/28. The only downside to our cruise was that we experienced mostly cloudy weather. This kept the temps in the low to mid 70s, which made it a little cool for swimming on Castaway Cay. Other than that, the trip was perfect. I think the worst waves we had were in the 1.5-4 ft. classification. Except when the ship was at high speed, and we were crossing the Gulf stream, you couldn't really tell you were on a ship or moving at all.

Hope you have a WONDERFUL time!

We cruised this past Nov 4 - 7, 2004 and it was great. :flower1: The only unfortunate incident was that it poured rain the day we arrived at Castaway Cay. (they hadn't had rain in 4 months) :umbrella: We did get off the boat to check out the island anyways and found the water to be pretty murky and cool. BBQ was excellent. We enjoyed our first cruise so much that we booked again for Nov 4th 2006 for the 7 day Western excursion. Can hardly wait!!! :Pinkbounc

We have cruised twice durning the first week of November and have had great weather both times. I highly recommend it and it is cheaper too. Now there is an added benefit :Pinkbounc

Is the beginning of November cheaper than later on in the month?
Thanks- Deb :D

We cruised the week after Thanksgiving. The weather was very nice and the price had gone down consideraby than the week of Thanksgiving. We had beautiful weather and the water was just a tad bit cool at CC. It also got very cloudy and dark that afternoon but probably not until 3pm. We had such a great time that we rebooked for next year same week.

I cruised 11/13/04 eastern and loved it.....nice weather in Florida and cool enough at home to appreciate it.....We have booked again for a Double Dip :boat: Western with a group of our DIS :grouphug: friends,,,, We moved our reservations from DCL after booking onboard to AAA - earning even more of a discount. Feel free to join our group.

We sailed on the 11/15 cruise & it was perfect weather! We did sail thru a small shower and the swells were 20-30 feet but we enjoyed it alot. The weather was quite warm, especially in port.
