November - Did ANYONE Get FREE Hoppers/Water Parks ???

OK - Maybe I missed something here - I know that there was a promotion for free hoppers/water parks recently - but I thought that you had to travel by June ??? My sister (lucky duck!) is booked for November 4-11 at POR and got free hoppers and water parks. She never reads the DIS and just happened upon this discount when she booked online. Now, when she told me this I argued with her because although that promotion was going on when they booked, I thought for sure that it ended in June. But she said that she wasn't able to remove the water parks from her reservation online (they weren't planning to pay for it ) and called CRO - they told her that it was a promotion and both were FREE! What was this ??? How did I miss it ??? Could it have been attached to their name or something? Or did I just have the promotion dates wrong? They are a family of five - all three kids are still kids - they got 7 nights at POR, dining plan, hoppers and water parks for 3250.00 ... I am so curious about this ... I thought for sure that she was wrong but she read me her whole confirmation thingy and yup, its true. Of course this question is COMPLETELY out of concern for my sister and has nothing to do with jealousy because she's going and I'm not AND they're always getting FREE stuff

My understanding of the ticket upgrades is the same as yours (exp. in June) - I would love to know the answer too!

I booked this package online for April 15th to the 20th. The package was for free upgrades on hoppers and water parks. But my understanding was that it needed to be booked by Feb. 18th. I booked it online which was a first for me because the CSR when I called had no idea what I was talking about. Hope this helps!

Did you check her quote against what the cost would be to pay for the water parks and hoppers on the same package? I suspect she's actually paying for them.
