November/December 2012?

Can I be updated in terms of WDW resorts. We are staying at AKL from 9-14 Dec (6 nights) and then POFQ 15-19 Dec (5 nights).

Thanks, so excited.

Very exciting news, I booked our flights yesterday so one big step closer. Dates have changed a wee bit as it was significantly cheaper to fly to LA on Sunday rather than Tuesday - such a chore to have 2 extra days on holiday :rotfl:

So we are now LA 9-17/12, Hawaii 17-24/12. Still working on the itinerary but thinking DL will be still first = 10-13/12 to avoid the weekend crowds.

thanks for this insight... when we were there in november, it was quite rainy and chilly of an evening, which we were not prepared for as we'd heard california temps are usually quite mild that time of the year... sounds like a few extra hoodies/jackets and scarves are going on my packing list...

i love the idea of the hidden mickey book -- sounds like great fun and a great way to see parts of the park you would otherwise maybe not pay such close attention to :)

Alicia we flew into LAX once on 8th December (for example) on the VAustralia flight, about 6.30am, it was 7.05am (just missed the DL Express, watched it drive away!) Anyway and it was 4 degrees, yes, 4 degrees! It was FREEZING!!!!! That day, it topped 12 degrees. But then over the two weeks we were there, it varied from top of 12 degrees, cold and raining to 25 degrees and warm during the day to cooling off again at night. It was always cool at night and early mornings, but daytime tops varied from freezing to pleasant! So be prepared for all weather. Totally not what I was expecting!

Congrats on booking the flights  At least you have firm dates now. Now just to organise what to do where.

And :cool1::cool1: on booking tickets!

Hi Everyone... :goodvibes

I finally told my TA to just book the flights as I was tired of waiting for a "special" to come out..

She got an "OK" price for me and to be honest.. I'm glad it's over and I can cross it off the list of things to do.... Now it's time to turn my attention to ADR's.

How is everyone going with ADR's? I have only picked 4 as I'm a bit nervous about being locked into too many reservations. Especially with little kids as they be over tired on a ADR night.

It's a nice feeling having it all booked.

ADR's are a bit of a nightmare. Now the November hours are out, and avoiding the EMH parks and MVMCP, our ADR's have had to be reshuffled. We had it all sorted based on last year but knew we'd have to reorganise. Unfortunately the reorganisation requires a bit of effort but we'll juggle things around until something works.

I was the same, couldn't wait any longer for a good deal for flights - figured for that time of year I'd need to wait until only a month or so out and I just don't have the guts for that!
Speaking of ADRs I have a question for you all - I'm sure the answer is somewhere easy to find but can't for the life of me find it. What is the difference between premium character dining and just character dining? In other words where is the premium dining? I was thinking of doing goofy's kitchen for dinner on our first night and then a character breakfast on our last morning but I'm confused about whether Goofy's is premium or not...

I'm envious about everyone going at the end of this year. We're booked to cruise in December next year so will be doing WDW after the cruise.

Have fun everyone.

Returning in January, do we qualify for the Nov/Dec list!

Leaving Sydney 14th December staying at the Boardwalk and sadly leaving 18th January.

Congrats!!!

Would it be possible to provide a link for the 2012 MVMCP dates and the November hours and EMHs?

I can only see up to October and can't find MVMCP dates for 2012. 2011 dates are there.

Thanks :)

Hi Royal Consort..

Yes.. It really is a nice feeling to have the flights booked... I must admit that I received an email the day after paying for the flights announcing "american flights on special" and my heart jumped into my throat :rotfl: but they weren't the dates that we are flying on....

I have already given our ADR's to our American TA to book when the 180 day window opens so that is set.

My little boy loves anything pirate at present and we found out that there is a pirate museum at St Augustine (just north of Daytona Beach) about 2 1/2 hours away from WDW. So we are researching car hire for the day.

For those that will be there for the Halloween Party and Mickey's Christmas Party, will your kids be dressing up for the event?

HI Aussie Possum

Whilst we wont be there this year :( we did go to MNSSHP last year and yes the kids had a wonderful time dressing up. MInd you i think most adults do too ! keep your camera ready because there some amazing sights and all i will say is people go to amazing lengths to dress up::yes::

so sad that we will only be in DLR and not WDW for the halloween/christmas time.

seems like so much extra goes on at wdw than at dlr at this time, but we just couldn't swing the extra expense of wdw this year.

we're at 7 months today, and while i have deposits for the cruise, the disneyland hotel stay and our tickets booked, i have yet to book anything else although i have thoroughly researched our flights/accom/tickets/plans/tours etc... just scraping the money together at this stage & waiting for flight prices to come down :(
