November AP rates

Would anyone know when they would release the AP rates for Nov/04? Just got back and want to back but we have to do some serious number crunching first. I want to buy an AP for myself but this is all new to me. Thanks!

It seems as if anytime someone asks for historical AP rates, they post a link to Mousesavers code trends. Does anyone actually have the RATES and not just the trends? I know there was an AP discount last November, but how can I find out how much it was?

I've done some searching on the DIS, and it seems like those discounts weren't that great. I've seen POFQ for $110 including tax, and I just got it for $84 in June. That doesn't make sense to me.

Help, anyone?

hyzdufan - BonSchwe did ask WHEN codes would be released, not what the historical rates were. As Mary states on Mousesavers, she does not list the historical rates because they often are different or higher each year. HOWEVER, I feel your pain for wanting to have an idea of what last year's rates were and I happened to have kept this thread from March:

It gives last year's APH discounted rates for the fall months. Maybe that will give you some idea.

I just checked the mousesavers link and didn't see the latter part of 2004.

There were AP rates for November and they were good. We were at AKL Concierge 11/15-20 and it was a 45% discount. As I recall however, there were NO public room only discount codes. Just AP, Fairytale package and there may have be FL resident rates.

Am hoping for AP rates for November too. If there aren't any, will seriously effect our plans.

AP rates have only been released thru 8/28/2004 .....

I hope I'm wrong but my guess is that the rates released through August will give us a better idea of what to expect in the Fall than looking back at what they did last year. I would much prefer the old way of up to 45% off but I planning on the recent rates of a flat $ off-not nearly as good for me with a LV concierge room at the Poly.

Gosh, had a goofy moments when looking at those tables. I was trying to see when Nov 2003 APs were released but went right past and was looking at 2004 and put that in my note!

We have gone every year for the past five years the day after Thanksgiving through the first weekend in December. In the moderates, with an AP we have traditionally gotten a room for as low as $79 plus tax.

Last year at the AKL - savannah view it was $149 or $144 with tax ... can't remember ... but it didn't drop til much closer the date than the years before. AKL concierge was about $249, if I recall, but my memory gets worse every year.

If you are thinking of going the best thing to do is to book a room and then when/if the AP rate comes out change your room to that rate. Remember though there is never a guarantee they will have an AP rate out ... they base a lot of that on occupancy.

Hope that gives you an idea.

Thanks for the link from last year. I'm trying to follow this info. also.

I noticed for the Polynesian, there was a $285 AP rate for lagoon view concierge but nothing for lagoon view only.

Does anyone know if it is uncommon to get AP rates for simple lagoon view room at the Poly?

If that's the case, then the AP rate for concierge rooms would actually be better than the rack rate we have right now for the lagoon view rooms.

Trying to figure this out....

Rhonna, I'm certain there were lagoon view Poly rooms w/AP rates. From what I've seen there would be APs on certain number of all room classes at Poly (except maybe Suites).

Concierge rooms are just far fewer so AP more limited. It was probably posted because it was just such a great deal.

I haven't settled on where we'll be in November. Poly is a possible and definately looking for AP rates too.

Thanks for the link to the AP rates from last November. Looks like the rate for November 2003 for garden view was $170. I would LOVE to get that again this year! I'm trying to surprise DH with an anniversary trip to the Poly....he has always wanted to stay there.....and I'd love to get such a great rate! Keeping my fingers crossed!!
