November 8, 2008 7 Night Eastern 11/8/2008 11-8-2008 FIRST POST UPDATED ON 10/16/08

Hi all- Welcome twoandtwins! I've been busy getting the kids back to school and starting all the after school activities. Pixiedust- all your hard work has paid off. The rooms look great. WendyJersey-Nice job on the FE. I wasn't brave enough to try. I too like the superimposed pic. on the bottom. Will write more tomorrow when I have more time.

Okay, there's a post on the main board about this, but I'm trying to decide how to deal with the Kennedy Air Show. Normally we would leave WDW at 9 to head over to the port, but I'm wondering if we need to leave earlier. The show doesn't start until noon, so I'm hoping that most people won't start coming in until after 10:00, by which time we should be there. Then again, I don't want to arrive at 9:30 and have forever sitting in my car at the port waiting for them to open to traffic.

Where is the closest breakfast/fast food restaurant that will be open?

Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to avoid the problems? We don't want to stay at the port since we'll be doing the Food and Wine Festival the day before, and will probably have had too many sips of wine to make the drive Friday night.
Can you explain this traffic situation a bit more - we'll be driving up from South Florida (4 hour ride) and had planned to arrive around noon - are you saying that we should leave earlier? Thanks for the info.

Donna

:welcome: twoandtwins. I'm glad to see that you have joined some of us in the FE adventures. Time is getting short and I'm sure Morgan4 has her hands full getting the list ready for distribution soon. According to my Disney Countdown Clock it is 43 days when I leave for FL or 44 days before we'll all be boarding you know what! :boat: Can't even think about it I'm so excited can't you tell!!!!!
 :jumping1:

I did the napkin folding one time and they do give you a paper that tells you how to do all of the folds and it is fun!;)

:welcome: :welcome: You are going to have a wonderful vacation and Welcome to twoandtwins also!

I did not realize how long it has been since I have been on the boards. We have been busy re-doing bedrooms and helping out sick friends and I just have not have been on the computer at all.

I love the fish extenders you have made. They are great.

I want to send you pictures of our Mickey bedrooms so you can tell I have been wroking---:rotfl2:

Now that I have things in hand at home, I can keep caught up on the computer.

Garry is working on t-shirts with the logo this week so hopefully they will turn out good.

Have to run to football practice and pick up our grandson!

Talk to you later!

The rooms look great Pixie. You certainly have been doing a lot of work on them. Your tee shirt logos is that the logo with Mickey in a white sailor suit that you posted once before. If so maybe I'll put the logo on a couple of shirts since I know know how to do that. Let me know. Thanks:)

If your coming up 95 your should not encounter much traffic as most east bound 528 (Beachline) traffic will exit to Kennedy before the 95 interchange.

In Bedroom #2, are the tall Black things Menus( with Cinderella and Aladdin & Jasmine) from the Disney Cruise? If so, how did you get them? Do you just ask your sever if you can keep them? I would love to take home some menus from our trip!

I also love your Litho of Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck finding all the Gold and the Disney Cruise Line ship in the background!

I plan on making shirts too, with the Logo that you had made. Could you please re-post on here or send it to me in a pm. Thanks!

Only 40 more days until we leave for Disney World and 43 more days until the Cruise!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!:)

On various cruises we were given the menus by different servers. This collection is over several years.

I also love your Litho of Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck finding all the Gold and the Disney Cruise Line ship in the background!

That was a gift from the Captain on the Antigia Cruise several years ago. It is one of my favorites.

I plan on making shirts too, with the Logo that you had made. Could you please re-post on here or send it to me in a pm. Thanks!

I think it is on page 1, but if that does not work send me a PM and I will send it to yoou.

The quilt came from a Disney web site on Ebay which is no longer active. It came with the pillow shams and I think I got everything for about $30. I believe it was called Disney Deals and they really used to have some bargains when they were in business.

You will go crazy if you PM everyone. Here is my idea for what it is worth. If you put the map of the staterooms on excel and highlight the rooms that are participating then everyone can locate where they have to take their gifts very quickly. It works well and keeps you from running all over the ship when it is your turn to deliver.

We got our Magical Express packet today from Walt Disney World so it really makes it seem like vacation is just around the corner.

It is time to start trying on clothes and making the big decision on what to pack!!:cool1:

Did you see the news about the 2010 cruises in Europe??? I guess the announcement from Disney will be coming out the first full week in October. It sounds exciting. Anyone else interested in this??:) .

Have a good weekend!

Thanks, Pixie! I found it on the first page.

I will have to be sure to ask if I can have some of the menus, if I don't get any.

I would like to say :welcome: to TwoandTwins!!!
PIXIE, the rooms are great!!!! My DS has the same big Mickey doll.

KATE, thanks again for organizing the Gift Exchange. Also, i would like to distribute my FE gifts on Sunday if possible. I guess you can just post a link for the schedule rather than sending PMs to everyone. Oh, I just finished my FE, will try to post tomorrow.

I have to admit, after reading MOZART's Pre-TR I panicked, he's shopping clothes, luggages are out etc. I haven't done anything yet :scared1: , I actually just booked our pre-cruise hotel few hours ago. I talked to my DS teacher yesterday and asked for permission (have to pull him out for 5 school days), she said its ok for him to go since he's doing so good in school, he's actually getting an Award in two weeks :thumbsup2 . Can't take the luggages out since DS doesn't know we're cruising in 42 days (told him we're going in JAN.) I like to surprise him this time.

OK, as far as excursions, At St. Maarten, we're doing the French Riviera Beach Rendezvous. At St. Thomas, we're doing the Coral World Ocean & Island Drive. Then parasailing for DH/DS at CC.

Palo on Thurs. night @ 8pm.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!!

You are right it has been a long while since I have seen their name come up. I hope all is well.

On our last cruise the person in charge gave everyone their lists at the meeting. She sat at a small table in the area where we met. You could do that at the Sunday morning meeting. Let everyone involved know to look out for you at the meeting. You could sit by the main entrance to the area where we'll be meeting. You'll no doubt have a list of all involved so cross off each families name who claims their map. If a family does not make it to the meeting because they either over slept or just didn't plan to attend the meeting, you could hand deliver the map to their cabin/FE. Just need to pack the 25 or so pieces of paper in your suitcase. I think that will be easier than PMing everyone and will give you a chance to personally meet all involved in the game. What do you think?
Hope everyone had a dryer weekend than most of us in the Mid-Atlantic and New Endland Coast. It rained all weekend. It just stopped here and they say we may get a fewing clearing spots, we'll see. Make the most of today for tomorrow is back to work! Ugh! Oh well have to do that so we have excess cash for this cruise. According to my calculations I have 39 days and a wakeup!

QUOTE]

On my precious cruises they have provided a list with the name and cabin#. I did the "navigator" for a privious cruise and posted a link. I also emailed it. If you want to do something like that and email me I would be happy to print it and bring it. I would also be happy to help you PM or email everyone.

If anyone upgrades we would need to get the room change to everyone as well.

On the last cruise the person who upgraded at the port left a note on the old door to show where they had moved and a note on the new door to indicated that they had moved there.

Now that I have made this as clear as mud. Let me just put it out there that I am willing to assist you if you need it.

Before I forget...Can you please just list the names of the folks who signed up so we can all double check and see if we are there?

Thanks

Well I'm trying to post the FE wish me luck. Hopefully it will be here:

I had your UJ cut the dowel down some, but that is the only change since the picture. Tinker is in the pic of the second pocket. Peter is tapping her so that her pixie dust will go on Wendy so she can fly. But it is very hard to make her out. I had some sparkle nail polish and some sparkles so I painted the nail polish on the material and put some of the sparkles on so it looks like pixie dust. Doesn't come out in the pic, but you'll be able to see it when you can look at it in person. Not much longer left and we'll all be together again, can't wait. See you soon.

Of course I will. Already have it in the plans.

No matter how busy you are you always have time. :worship: It just amazes me that you always have so much energy. In the next week or so I'll be digging out the suit cases and packing some things that I know won't be used until we are on vaca. I think there are hair dryers in the bathroom on the ship? I just can't remember. It would be nice to not have to bring that, but I guess I may have to just in case. Had my hair done last Saturday. Got it cut and colored a color I would have never done before, but I felt daring. Takes a little more work to make it look nice, which is something I don't like to waste time on, but that's life. As far as the color I thought I might as well do it now as soon I'll be to old to take a risk like this. :lmao: I'll send you a pic. The color has toned down since it was done. I think when washing it in the beginning the color rinses out and then it stops at a certain point. I like it and so does DH and I guess that's all that counts.:thumbsup2 Well, let me run. Dental appointment at 8AM. :scared1: What a way to start the day! Can't believe it is on 39 days til we leave for FL. :woohoo: It is fast approaching. I'm so looking forward to this much needed vaca. It will be nice knowing that I don't have to work both jobs for a week. :cool1:
