Hello!!

Just booked for November 8, 2008 7 night Eastern Cruise! Who else will be joining us????!!!!

We booked two adjoining cat 6's for myself, dh and 2 dds. (dds will be 8 and 10 at the time of the cruise.) MIL and FIL aslo booked a cat 6. Sil, bil and dn will be in a 6 too. Woo hoo! Can't wait!

MAILING BOXES TO THE SHIP

Here are the guidelines and address to ship packages to the port.

-ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.

-The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.

-The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.

-NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.

- The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

Address your package(s) to:

IDS c/o (Ship Name) / Ground Services
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information:ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING

Packages must arrive by 5:00 PM on Friday for Saturday and Sunday sailings.


If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding.

These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

HEY RIGHT BACK AT YOU. My wife woke me up at 5:30 am to book this one the day it came out. Have you cruised before? We have been on three D/C. We just got back in Dec. We had a wonderful time.

This past November was our first Disney cruise. We did the double dip western cruise and it was fantastic! There's just so much fun stuff planned -- we only had time for a fraction of the stuff we wanted to do. Cruising has replaced our annual pilgrimage to the parks for awhile... It's so cool that you've done 3 crusies!!! Have you done the Eastern before? Any suggetions for excursions?

We have done two four day and the double dip. We have never done the eastern. We are really exicted to do it. We live out west in Caliiforna. So, they relased the dates for the west coast cruises and WOW they were so expensive. The cheapest was $5,000 for the four of us. So we are saving money flying out to go on this one. What was your guy's best part of the D/D cruise?

Hello fellow cruisers! We just moved our "dummy" cruise booked onboard Magic a couple weeks ago to this Nov. 8 cruise when it became available to book and got our favorite cat. 6 cabin, 6078. Been on another DCL Eastern in February...weather was pretty awful so we're hoping this will be better! We had a very active Disboarders' thread for the Magic cruise we just came off of with a couple of Dis meets that were really fun-hopefully we'll get to do the same on this one. This cruise will be a no-kids trip for DH and me.

We'll be transferring our reservation to Dreams Unlimited, as they are offering double shipboard credit. Add their $200 to our rebook onboard $200 from DCL and that covers tips, shore excursion, photos and sailaway cocktails!

GoofyFD: I can't really say that we have one favorite thing -- it's just too hard to choose!!! I really like the fact that there's such a variety of things going on so no one ends up bored or unhappy. I also love the fact that we were relaxed/rested when we came back from the cruise. (Sometimes after doing WDW it felt like we needed a second vaction just to rest! ) dds really loved the kids clubs -- had to drag them out a few times. The stingray excursion at Cataway Key was really neat. Our family had a platform/guide all to ourselves so were able to feed the rays a lot. In Cozumel dd8 and I did the Royal Dolphin swim and that was incredible -- definetly one of the highlights of the trip. dh and dd6 did the dolphin encounter and were equally as happy. Hoping we can find something as cool on the Eastern voyage.

We'll be down the hall from you in 6052 - 6056 We also booked with dummy dates during our Nov 2007 cruise and then transferred to our AAA agent (an outstanding agent we do all our travel thru) for $150 stateroom credits. We were really hoping to get a cat 2 to share with mil/fil or a midship cat 3 for just us but none were available. We were in 6034 last cruise and really liked it but it was just a little to small for the four of us (just not enough storage space). Ended up booking adjoining 6's for this cruise. We also had a very active dis group on our cruise which was very cool. We played distag and my dd6 and dd8 absolutely loved it! Hopefully we can do it for this cruise too!

Hello All!

We are booked on Nov 8, 2008 Eastern Cruise also. It will be me, DH and boy/girl twins who will be 10 at the time. My Mom and Dad will also be coming with us. We have connecting cat 9 rooms booked. This will be cruise #7 for us and #2 for my parents. We took them on the Wonder last Dec and they fell in love with it so we all rebooked onboard. I saw that DU had a double credit offer for 2008 cruises, so we both transfered our ressies today.
We haven't been on the Eastern Cruise since my twins turned 3 (our 1st cruise), so I'm looking forward to seeing St. Thomas again. I just wish it would get here a lot faster. It will be nice to talk to all of you over the next several months.

Hi everyone! Been busy here. mil and sil decided they'd like connecting rooms so we all moved a little bit further down the hall. Then inventory control called to say they had a cat 2 available. Now we really wanted the cat 2 for mil, fil and my family (replacing the 3 cat 6's we have booked) and sil's family would stay in their cat 6. After a lot of consideration we decided to stay with the cat 6s. I know we probably made the right decision but giving up the 2 was really hard and I'm second guessing our choice. The price difference was very large and we would have lost $700 in onboard credits (Getting $350 per cat 6) -- just couldn't justify spending so much at this time. Well heck, I could probably stay in a broom closet on the Magic and still be happy!

Wow!!! 7 cruises!!! That is so cool!!! Hopefully I'll be able to say that one day too Question about your dd's -- do you allow them sign out priveleges from the kid's club? My dd who will also be 10 on the cruise has asked and we said probably not. We trust her but the idea still makes me uneasy...
