November 7, 2009 ~~~~ AHOY ST.CROIX ~~~~

Hey all -

Need some help locating our "cruise logo" - The Ahoy, St. Croix one with Chip and Dale. I've had a very bad computer day and lost many files, including most of my Disney graphics. :sad1: Time to start rebuilding (and finding a reliable back-up source!).

Thanks all!

Donna I didnt find one with Chip and Dale , the two I found are on page 53.

I will look more tomorrow,

Kathy

Thanks, Kathy. Ironically I had just found them all on page 53 and was just about to post for you. I may have imagined the chip and Dale thing.... must have been the pirate Mickey and Minnie one I was thinking of.

Ok, I did e-mail you a chip n dale door sign picture you might like. Since you were looking for them.

Prayers & Pixie Dust for you and your family Kathy.

Hope everyone has a good night. 3 weeks and counting!

I think there is a Chip n Dale one out there. You mentioned it and I recognized it right away.... thought I had saved it on DD's laptop, but no. Traci might have it. I think that's where it came from at some point?

I looked through the Disign threads but you can get lost for days in there....:rotfl: Anything specific you remember you had or are looking for, pm me, I might have saved it or remember where I've seen it. I've only been looking around for t-shirt/magnet designs for this cruise for a year or so!!

All we want is for them to make her comfortable and it looks like she may need a blood transfusion. But since she is elderly and has Dimentia some Dr's don't want to bother. It would make her feel better and be more comfortable during her last few hours or days and so thats what we want. My brother is up there now hassling with the DR right now. Mom always told us to make her comfortable is ok, but dont bring her back if her heart stops or she goes into a coma which she has done twice and come back on her own.

I could sure use some pixie dust tonight.

Kathy

LOTS of pixie dust and prayers going out to you and Greg, and your family. I hope she pulls through for y'all. :grouphug:

Christine

Thanks for the prayers and pixie dust.
Moms vitals went back to normal on their own. They think her heart was just giving out which is common for congestive heart failure and then it started back up again on its own.
So they sent her back to the facility where she lives which made her extremely aggitated. Alzheimer and Dimenta patients always want to leave where ever they are at for some reason.
So eventually they got her to lay down, not sure how long she will stay down.
We know we are at the end of her life, just want her to go peacefully, hopefully in her sleep.

Well I can finally lay down after along evening,:goodvibes

Night all,

Kathy

Kathy so sorry to hear about your mom, I will keep her and your family in my prayers.
It was cold here again today. I think that winter is quickly on it's way. I had the not so good sense to go to water arobics and get in a cold pool tonight. The water is always cold at the High School, they keep it that way for the swim team. My DGD, who is a swimmer, says that they keep it cold so that their muscles don't relax and they can swim faster. :confused3 It sure doesn't do much for old bones though. :sad1: My day has not been a real good one, I decided that popcorn sounded good, so I was eating some, and broke a tooth, a front one!! So I guess I will be calling the dentist tomorrow, :scared1: Last night my eye was bothering me, and this morning I woke up with what I think is a sty in it. Not sure if that is what it is, because I have never had one, but that is what everyone is telling me. I hope that it goes away soon, it hurts like the dickens and my eye is all red and itchy. The good news is, I got all of my FE gifts done, plus a couple extra, all of my door signs are done, t-shirt designs are printed, got all of the stuff for the scrap swat cut out, and my tennis shoes came today so I can start breaking them in. :yay:
Thanks for the tips about the car rental, seems the issue is dropping it off at a different location. Found a car for only $41.00, but then they are charging $45.00 for dropping it off at the airport. :confused3 I will check out all of the suggestions tomorrow.I am heading for bed. Hope everyone has a good day.

:hug:Kathy - to you and your family. It is so difficult to watch our parents grow old - whatever their conditions.

Vickie - hugs to you too. I hope that your eye and tooth (popcorn can be so bad) are better quickly. Stick with Budget or Avis as they don't charge the dropoff fees - or they didn't on mine.

Well, got home last night and I must say - those DCL documents sure are not what they used to be. I actually wonder why they even send them - the luggage tags are the only thing that will be helpful to me. But, to be honest, that was about all that was there. How do first timers manage - or the ones that don't discover the DIS anyway? We never got anything regarding excursions, what to pack (or not pack). Yes, that is all available on the DCL website but not everyone has access to the internet.

OK - I guess I need to get to work. Have a grand day everyone and I will check in later.

Good Morning, Everyone.

Kathy, sending dust and prayers to you and your mom. and :hug:s too.

Minnie - hope your tooth is soon repaired and eye recovers. Better now than on the cruise, with all those photos to be taken!

Another grey day here - it's not the warm weather I miss so much as it is the sunshine. Grey days are SO uninspiring.

Pool is closed for repair this morning, so I just didn't go at all. Been 3xs this week and tomorrow will be 4. You'd like our pool - it's a therapy pool so nice and warm - warm enough that the 82 degree air when we get out feels chilly, and the 72 degree locker room is downright frigid.

Gail, that's what we got too. I'm like - why?

Hope today is a better day for everyone.

Hello Dis Family

Traci - don't feel bad sharing the joy - we have to celebrate the good as well as be supportive. That is super good news about Tim - so, so, so good. I bet the releif for both of you really is like a huge weight being lifted.

My prayers and concerns go out to all of you who need them at this time. Also, I'm happy to hear Tim is in the clear and does not have cancer. I am a cancer survivor since 1995 so I know how you felt.

Gail: Do you have any contact with any of the Haworth people from Ludington? I retired from Haworth in Holland.

Bonnie

I love how supportive our DIS family is!

Sounds like everyone has been through a lot of sickness and stress. Sounds like we all need a vacation! Good thing we have one planned.

Happy Thursday everyone!

Morning all,
Traci thats awesome news!! Now you can both relax and enjoy the cruise.
Vicki, sure hope you can get right in to get that tooth fixed. You dont want any food particles to get in it. OUCH!! You might ask at your Dr office if theres something to help get rid of a sty. maybe over the counter so you wont need to go in to see the dr.? It cant hurt to ask.

Thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust everyone, It was along rough night around here. Going to try and nap a bit this morning. my brother will go see how mom did last night and how she is doing today and then call me later.

We are cool and foggy today with some rain showers. Very gloomy and depressing looking outside. We are suppose ot have a break in the rain this afternoon which will be nice.
Today is laundry day so I best get to it before I forget to do it.

Have a great day everyone,

will check back later, hopefully we will have a better night tonight and get to work on our door signs.:cool1:

Traci -
Never feel badly about sharing great news! WOO HOO! Hope his recovery, and adjustment to meds, continues to go well. :thumbsup2
My mother had the same scenario 8 years ago and is doing well. Based on her history, I had a thryoid u/s recently with an "incidental" finding of one very small nodule. Going for a needle biopsy soon though docs are confident it's normal. I was amazed to read that up to 50% of adults have at least one nodule and never know it because most are benign and without symptoms. Amazing. More stuff I never needed to know!

Thanks, Christine. Yes, I've been lost on the Creative DISigns boards many times. I did spend some time there last night trying to rebuild my graphic supply!

There is one I'd like to find. It's an actual photo of all the characters on Castaway with the ship behind them. Anyone have that? Must go search.....

I send my prayers and a little bit of pixie dust to you Kathy! :wizard:

Traci that's GREAT news! I'm sure its a nice sigh of relief.

Joe and I are doing well, we have had a few struggles lately, but he gets released from his job on Friday, and as bad as that sounds, it'll be nice to have him home. He works wayyyy to much. He is still on there list to be called back though, so hopefully he'll only be without a job for a few months.

On a happier note, little Joey has learned to "key" when he wants his little plush mickey mouse. It's so cute. I'll have to get a picture of him on here with it, but i mostly work off my laptop and no recent pictures are on here. :badpc:

So i really need to start cleaning the house and find some time to excersise to...:lmao: haha i guess i'll be lucky if i get the house clean. It's one of those days.

Hannah

Quick ? guys does DCL have an autograph book that is different than WDW?

Thanks
