November 7, 2009 ~~~~ AHOY ST.CROIX ~~~~

WELCOME, MIKE! I read your trip report on your spring cruise and thought "wow, what a great kid - I'd like to meet him" (and the parents who did such a good job) and lo and behold, here you are!

Can't help you with excursions - we likely won't do one in either place.

Back to the scrapbooking swap, how about we just say that we can either do a page, or a bag, or some cross between the two. (for example someone might put some double mats together, make a border or title, put some appropriate quotes on to mats, some decorative tags, stickers etc. and put it into a bag without a page behind it, but there would still be some creativity there - this is what I was kind of thinking about) Then for those who want to put together a page, great, and those would find it easier to travel with pieces, that is fine too. Did anyone want to set a price range?

For a theme, I was thinking I would like to do Fun at the Beach. So that means we have
Traci - Pirate
Linda - Souvenirs from the Ship
Laurie - Fun at the Beach

StampinShauna and um SillyLittlePixie? oh, and MinnieMouse!

Fun at the beach sounds like fun! I'm ready. it was chilly here today!

Hi everybody. I'm Mike (19) and my parents and I will be joining you, we just booked this cruise and we are very excited. I'm Mike and I am 19. Looks like a great group so far, I have just started reading through the thread, but it looks like it might take a while, lol. Can't wait to talk with you all. We are working on excursions right now. What are some exciting ideas for St. Thomas and St. Croix? Not too much longer.

WELCOME Mike and family!!:woohoo:

I am Kathy and Dh is Greg.

I have made a cruise mates list so we can all get aquainted better. I would love to add you and your family to it and send you out a copy.
People have sent me all kinds of information for their place on the list.
Here is what most have sent"
A photo
city and state your from
names of everyone and ages of kids so they can find other kids their own age.
cabin number
early or late dining
how many cruises you have done
any celebrations you are celebrating on board
If you want to be in the fish extender gift exchange
e-mail address
Any extra notes you may want to add are fine too.

If you dont want your e-mail published let me know and i wont add it. But i need it to send you out the list. It is too big to PM to people.

Also we have matching bracelets that will be ordered soon so we can all recognise each other around the ship. Not sure which page the info for that is on. Someone will have to answer that for you.

On page 59 i think we have logos if you want to make matching shirts by doing iron on transfers and of course we are doing the Fish Extender exchange. List is on 29 and PM Traci your information if you want to participate. if your not sure what it is, please ask and we will expalin.

Some of this information is on the Cruisemates list i will send to you.
my e-mail is sixtoedfrog@yahoo.com or PM me.

In fact everyone i will be sending out a revised list soon. After I get Mike's information we will have 3 new people added so you will want the new version.:cool1:

Kathy

Thank you LindaBabe for your welcome and kind comments. I am so glad you mentioned that because I was positive I had seen posts of yours somewhere significant and for the life of me I couldn't remember where. That is now taken care of. I am actually about ready to put more posts in on the trip report. Haven't given up yet, lol.

Thanks for the great welcome Kathy. I will have all of that information off to you shortly. Thanks for making that list up, sounds like a lot of hard work. Bracelets and fish extenders, sounds like a great group. I am getting more excited by the minute. How much longer, lol.

I sent everyone out a new version of the cruise mates list tonight so if you dont have one in your e-mail please let me know and I will send you out another one.

Good night all,

Kathy

Who else is in?

PS - I have only stayed at CBR, so I can't really comment on my favourite resort at WDW.

Sounds good, Laurie. :thumbsup2

For me- I'll take Sail Away Party! :boat:

And last- WELCOME MIKE AND FAMILY!!! Glad to have you join us!!!

Christine

Good Morning everyone! Day shift, checking in. lol

Tracy, are you feeling better this morning, babe?

Kathy, did you stay up all night working on that book -er LIST?

Christine, ok - "Sail Away Party" it is! Guess that means I can't skip it this year, lol.

Oh, I am SO excited just thinking about it!
HAPPY DAY, Everyone!

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome, Mike. How exciting to book a cruise so close to the saildate. We have been waiting two years for this to finally happen.

I just joined this group this week and they have been just terrific! I am glad to hear that Tracy is feeling better.

Laurie - I think what you call water wings are exactly what I am looking for. We call them swimmies around here. They are blow up arm rings that assist a child to float in the water. My oldest niece, Hannah is a great swimmer and will love to splash around in the Goofy pool. The five year old, Samantha, has only just taken swimming lessons this summer and can't keep herself afloat in water that's over her head. I am thinking that the water wings will help her. If you have them and are willing to bring them along, I would certainly appreciate it and will reimburse you for them.

My Mom had a great idea last night for a homemade FE gift from our family and has already started working on them!!

I hope the next 6 weeks just speed by!!

Donna

Good night all,

Kathy

Kathy, I got the e-mail, but no attachment.

Favorite resort: Beach Club

Scott I will shoot you out another list right away.

Donna, sorry I goofed on your posting name on the list. I put Judylady instead of Julylady. I have fixed it for the next mailing out of the list.

Good morning everyone,
Finally we have some cool weather here. Of course it wont last long. Back to the upper 90's next week.

I am busy working on my FE gifts this week.
I am excited for them to decide what room we have this time. Having a GTY room is stressful wondering where iwe will be!! I know it will be 3 to 4 weeks before they assign our rooms, but i am still excited to hear where we will be.

Traci, Hope your feeling better today:goodvibes

Back later, I need to send Scott his list again. Not sure what happened?

Kathy

Noontime checkin. Went to the gym and pool early. Came home and had breakfast then out for grocery shopping. Came home, put stuff away and had to lay down to gether the energy to make lunch. I know where everyone will find ME about 1:30 in the afternoon - SNoozing!

No question today? How about - What do YOU like to do on Sea Days?

LOVE Sea Days!!!!

One thing we really enjoy doing (besides getting to the adult pool and/or spa) is doing some of the fun family activities. One of our favorites is The Mickey 200 potato car race! Each team has to create a race-worthy car with a potato, carrot, 4 wheels, 4 nails and toothpicks.
It's hilarious!:thumbsup2

Trivia and Mickey 200 are great on sea days. I also enjoy eating as much ice cream as possible. For some reason I keep ending up by the machine and it just calls to me, lol. I also just love being at sea, something magical about it.

Sea Days?

Well Greg will take an afternoon nap on deck 4. I usually will sit there for 10 minutes enjoying the ocean but thats all. The cruise is too short for me to just sit around.
What ever events are happening i will be there. Art of Entertaining series, trivia, drawing a character, watching the Mickey 200,Origami, paper plane making, various craft making events, what ever is going on. If nothing suits me I will walk the open decks on 9 and 10 to see who I can find to chat with for a few minutes. I love to walk the decks and just enjoy the ocean and fresh air too.

Kathy

Welcome Mike and family!!!!!!!

I am starting to feel a litttle better today. All I can say is wow this flu has kicked my butt.:upsidedow

How is everyone doing? What's up? What's new? I am just sitting here laying in bed and kinda of sick of seeing this same room for the last couple of days.:rolleyes1

Well question of the day doesnt apply to us as this is our first cruise. But I am hoping to get in some good R&R and drinking some of those fruity drinks we have been chatting about.:thumbsup2

Anyway just wanted to check in Peace out!

What do I like to do on sea days - go to brunch for starters. And just relax while cruising the open water. We spend time in the pools and hot tubs as well.

Hi Goofytraci:

I just checked the FE list on page 29 and didn't see our name added? Maybe you just haven't gotten to it yet, but just in case....please add:

Donna, Bonnie, Hannah (8), Samantha (5)

I just got an email from my MOm and she is working on our FE gifts as we speak! (so to say...)

My favorite thing to do on sea days is pool, hot tub, sitting on a lounge chair with a good book, and attending the culinary demos.

Donna

This is my first cruise also. I would imagine my favorite sea day activity will involve food.

Oh, Kathy, HOW could I forget TRivia? I love sea days - culinary demos - napping - eating - napping - origami - napping - oh yes and drawing characters - followed by a nice NAP!
