Good morning, everyone! One day closer!!
I was watching the news this morning, and there is a Cat 2 hurricane in the Caribbean right now! But, it looks like it is not near St. Maarten or St. Thomas, but more in the Western Caribbean. Hopefully it'll stay there!!!!
Here is a question of the day:
Who is not leaving until Nov 4, and who is leaving before Nov 4, and which day are you leaving. (I know some of you answered this yesterday)
We are flying to MCO early morning on Nov 4 (well, early morning for the West Coast... I guess late morning for the East Coast

) We arrive at MCO around 5:30 PM FL time. But, we decided last night that we are going to get a hotel next to the airport here in Seattle the night before on Nov 3 for several reasons. First, Nov 3 is Tyler's birthday, and I've been asking him what he wants for his birthday. He has been thinking about it, and he can't think of any thing he really wants, except he said last night he thinks it'd be really fun to stay at a hotel at the airport the night before we fly out so he can watch airplanes, and not only does he love to watch airplanes, but he loves staying in hotels!

So, I asked him if he would want that to be his birthday present, and he just lit up and said yes!! So, that is the main reason we are doing this. The other reasons is if we didn't get a hotel, we'd have to wake up at like 4 AM, and leave our house by like 5 AM. If we got a hotel, we could sleep until 6 AM, which sounds SO much better!!

Also, this particular hotel we are staying at has a super good "stay and park" package where you stay a night, but can leave your car there while you are traveling. It was such a good deal that we couldn't pass it up!
So, "technically" we are leaving on Nov 3, but we are not leaving Seattle until the morning of Nov 4.
Happy Tuesday everyone
NC2WDW, sorry to hear about your Mom, but so glad that she will still be joining us!
We have first seating, i know our kids are older, and we never eat that early at home, but it just seemed like we had more of an evening after dinner.
Kathy (GMA) Tell me about Goofy's sleepover, what age group is it for? Now assuming i can get my kids to the kids clubs, this might be fun for them!
I was pretty busy yesterday, i got some gifts for the FE, i booked my car rental, and well that was about it, but it was a start! I am not sure where to book our hotel. It would be cheaper to stay in Orlando, but my concern is how much traffic will be going into Cocoa Beach for the airshow on the Saturday!
Have a Magicial day everyone!
I can tell you about Goofy's sleepover.... both of my boys have done it.

It is really fun! The kids wear their PJ's (and some don't... it's not required to wear PJ's), and they set out all these floor pillows, and then Goofy comes and hangs out with all the kids. I'm not exactly sure WHAT they do the entire time, but I am guessing they play games and have fun with Goofy, but I do know they all sit on the floor pillows and watch a movie with Goofy. And, I forget the time when they ask parents to come pick up the kids... it might be when the kid's club closes, which is late (like midnight), but the kids can fall asleep.... I think once the movie is over, they calm all the kids down, and have them all lay down on the pillows and they can go to sleep.
I remember when my boys did this, they didn't fall asleep... I think it was just too distracting for them to actually fall asleep, so the CM's just let them get up and play until we got there... so it's not like they force the kids to sleep, but a lot of kids DO fall asleep (probably the ones whose body's and sleep habits just won't let them stay up late).
Anyway, my boys enjoyed it! They exclusively got to hang out with Goofy for the evening! So, it is definitely worth it if your kids are into that sort of thing.
