It wouldn't tell me what the password is but it would let me change the password. I may have changed it to what it was the first time but we will never know.

Preaching tomorrow and getting closer to the cruise date. My countdown chain hangs from the ceiling and now it is over my sons head.

Glad you got the password thing fixed. We always use the same password for the kids club for all of our cruises, so that way we won't forget it. :) We tell our kids the password, too, (we tell them not to tell anyone on the ship), but we tell the kids the password JUST in case we forget! :lmao: Then, we can ask them what it was... but that hasn't happened. We picked a password that our whole family would not forget, but nobody else would guess.

I'm sure, too, it's common for people to forget their password when they get to port to board this ship, so I would guess they have some sort of system at port even where you can re-set your password right there. I can't imagine every single parent with a kid's club aged kid who has ever cruised Disney Cruiselines has always remembered the password they chose a couple months earlier before they sailed. :) I bet it's more common than you'd think... but at any rate, glad you got it fixed!

And, hope your Sunday service goes well!! Did you know there is a Sunday morning non-denominational service on the ship on Sunnday morning of the cruise? It'll be in your Navigator for Sunday morning, so you can look it up there and see what time and location.

BT, glad you got to change the password.
I know people who ahd to change their password during the cruise for the kids clubs. Hopefully you wont need that now but at least you know they will work with you.
I hope for now you wrote it down soemwhere, maybe on a tiny piece of paper to keep in your wallet. Just dont write on it saying what it is for, in case you loose it.

Good morning all,

I actually stayed in bed until 6:30 a.m. this morning. It felt good to sleep in.
Then I made pancakes.:goodvibes
Its pouring rain this morning but still warm outside.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

We are doing some Fall cleaning today; it is only a high of 60 tonight and got down to 42 last night, which is pretty cool for this time of year. Everyone enjoy Sunday!

To celebrate getting into our cruise month I wore my Mickey Mouse tie for preaching. Came home, took a nap and dreamed of being on the boat where it is warm. It is nasty and raining here.

Peter looks so cute all dressed up. I think the bare feet are hilarious with such nice clothes:lmao:

Thanks for sharing the photo, its really a great picture :goodvibes

Nasty here too. But for the moment it has let up the rain. So I got groceries bought and put away, now to relax.

Did you get any comments about your Mickey tie?

I bet it would be really popular when you teach the kids.:goodvibes

Hi All,

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Sounds like the weather is not so good where some of you live... amazingly, it's sunny and beautiful today (not warm, but it's sunny!) It was predicted to rain today, but didn't. Sounds like you guys got the rain, Kathy (gma)! But, they are saying 100% chance of rain pretty much this whole week... very typical for October. Makes it even more fun to think about our cruise!

Ok, I have a question of the day. A couple of you briefly discussed it a couple days ago, but:

Do you pack for your vacation well in advanced or are you a last minute packer where you get the suitcases out the day before you leave and start throwing stuff in?

Me (us), I start making mental lists of what I want to bring in my head, but for the most part, I (we) are last minute packers! :rotfl: It totally contradicts my personality because I'm a TOTAL planner by nature and a very organized person, but when it comes to going on vacation, I always just pack last minute. But, to qualify that, we travel so much that I kind of have it down to a science... I know pretty much how to pack last minute, what we need to bring. So, I will probably be pulling out our suitcases Thursday morning Nov 3 (day before we leave) and start throwing stuff in. :)

I think I'm that way (with vacations) because in my (our) normal every day life, I'm super organized, have my whole week planned out, always on time, etc. etc., and when I go on vacation, I literally just "go with the flow" the entire time... take off my watch, just totally go with the flow... because I don't have the ability to "go with the flow" with my every day life, especially having kids and schedules, DH with a busy job, and just everything I need to do to keep our family up and running, plus all the things I'm involved in at the kid's school, sports, etc. etc.. So, I think by packing last minute kind of gives me that "go with the flow" feeling that I LOVE when I'm on vacation. (only exception, is I DO plan our shore excursions when on a cruise... that is the only thing I really plan out in advanced, but everything else is just go with the flow, decide last minute what you want to do, when you want to do it, etc).

Only problem with packing last minute is that there is always one or two things we forget, and I usually end up packing more than I need, but again... I just roll with the punches, and if we forget something, oh well... we're on vacation... we'll just go with the flow! :rotfl:

So, what about you.... start packing way in advanced, or just pack last minute? :)

Super cute!!!!! :) Very handsome little boy. :thumbsup2

We are definitely last minute packers, but ironically I am driving to Orlando for work (12 hour drive) the week before. Work would pay for a flight but not a rental car, so I can drive and get reimbursed. Having a car allows me to go see family close in the evenings.

Anyways because I have a car my DW and DD will be flying down with only carry one luggage. My DW wants to know if that means they can take six bags for the cruise (2 each). DD is 4 mind you! AND 2 more bags for the 3 days they will be at Disney the week of the cruise...

I quickly told her NO! I am driving down with a Co-Worker\Friend who is going on the cruise with us with his DW. They will be driving home with us. That means maybe up to 12 bags going home...

This cruise I have started gathering things early.
But usually I make a list of important things I cant forget first and the list is done a month in advance. I will make it this week.

Things like passports, camera and charger, phone charger, medicines, cruise docs, etc.. Plus a list for things like cancel the newspaper, have mail held etc..

But when we lived in Florida I had 2 walk in closets so one side of one of them was all our good clothes for cruises, the FE and things we always would take with us. They were ready to go at a moments notice.
So I would pack the morning of the cruise. Drive about 70 minutes to the port and be all set.:goodvibes

Kathy,
I saw you had all our sunshine today. My guys watched the Sea Hawks play today and one of the first things they said was WOW its blue skies in Seattle.

We had rain all day and its still raining, I am very generous so will send as much of it your way as I can tonight:thumbsup2
I wouldnt want you to feel left out:lmao:

Karen and Scott (GreensboroKG): Peter is very cute. We are going to have to turn up the legs on the inside of DS' pants and stitch them. They are too long but we don't want to cut them off and hem, sothat he can wear it next year too.

To answer question of the day:
I posted earlier that I already have a pile of things collecting to be packed. Knowing me, I will probably have the suitcase out by next weekend. I too will make a list of things that won't go in the suitcase, probably this week.

Gma Kathy: I know you have suggested to take a copy of your passport on the islands but what happens if you miss the ship? Do you know if they will accept the copy to get you over to the next stop?

No comments on my mickey tie but it is silver with many tiny mickey's all over it. From more than a few feet it looks like dots.

So, here is a picture of me and my family when I graduated. I may bring the cap and gown on the cruise....can I wear it on formal night?

Hopefully this works.http://www.flickr.com/photos/66351647@N02/6206299964/

Great photo!! You have every right to celebrate your accomplishment by a Disney Cruise! :cool1:

Yah, sure... you should wear your cap and gown on formal night... I mean, isn't one description of acceptable formal wear a "black evening gown"? :lmao: There are women who wear tiara's on formal night... I don't see why a guy can't wear a graduation cap!! :lmao:

Actually, if you do wear it, I would put money down that there will be some thread started on the main DIS boards after our cruise titled something like, "my Disney Cruise was ruined because some guy walked into the dining room on formal night in a cap and gown... I want a full refund from Disney". :lmao: :lmao: (Ok, so I'm totally mocking the people on the main boards who tend to find the silliest reasons to make their cruise a bad experience ... couldn't resist!).

But, back to being serious.... CONGRATS on your accomplishment... I gradated with an MA Degree (back in '96) and boy, do I remember the awesome feeling of graduating after all that work and I felt I earned every square centimeter of that cap and gown!! :thumbsup2 So, good for you!!
