Thanks, Kathy!!! I got the list in my inbox! So, I think I counted 18 families/cabins doing FE's, is that correct??

Is there going to be a point where we are going to close the FE list, or is the FE list open for people to join right up until we leave? Just wondering how people plan for how many FE gifts to bring, or do you bring extra in case people join last minute? This is my first FE participation, so I don't know how this part works (how long people can join, etc). I just say that because there are a couple cabins on the list who have ?'s next to FE's, so should we bring gifts for those cabins in case they decide to join last minute, or is there a deadline?

Also, I noticed this cabin number has an extra number in it:

Or, is that a real cabin number?? Or, is that the cabin number for a life boat (a very cheap room...category 17A?? ). Sorry, just had to add that humor!

Now, I just need to get cracking on my FE!!!! I still don't have one... I am going to attempt to make one, but just haven't had time to do it yet. I'll get it done!

That odd number is what I was given. So it should be right. Maybe deck 1 is numbered differently??


The rooms with the FE?? by them just means they havnt told me yes or no for participating. I would NOT bring a gift unless it says Yes and they are on the FE list itself.

We had briefly discussed a cut off date for the FE and it was half and half opinions on it. Some said we should, other said it would seem sad for someone who booked late to not get to enjoy this event, especially if they had children who were looking forward to it.

So I decided to just not close it. I dont think we will get people within 2 weeks of the cruise. If we do and your all set with gifts then just dont give to a last minute family. Its your choice.


I will explain they are welcome to join in, how ever some dont have the ability to get more gifts together this close to the cruise, so they wont be expecting them from everyone.
Then they can choose if they still want to participate. I think that is fair.

Also I have stated that you dont have to bring the gifts with you if your luggage is full. There are gifts on board like themed pens and pencils, post cards,stickers, snacks, pirate eye patches etc.. Plus on the islands you often see small inexpensive items you can buy to give.

That would also work if we had a late family join us and you dont have the ability to get them a gift before the cruise, you can always grab a little something in the gift shop on board if you want. They wont know if they receive something different than everyone else.

This will be a personal choice for each person. Nobody will know what anyone decides to do if we have a late family. Do what you are comfortable with.
I will send out our last revised list about 10 days prior to the cruise.

I am finally getting around to creating countdown tickers for my posts, like some of you have.

I figured out how to do it, and how to paste them into your post, but my question is how do you get them to stay on your posts?? Do you just paste the URL for the ticker here, and then it just "magically" reappears each time you post, or do you have to paste the URL somewhere else to get it to stay permanently?

How does this work?

I figured out how to do it, and how to paste them into your post, but my question is how do you get them to stay on your posts?? Scroll up to the top of this page and on the left it says usercp

Clcik on that. Then again on the left side it will say edit signature, click on that.
Then scroll down where there is abox you can type in. Thats wher eyou copy and paste the ticker info at. Then if you look just below that spot it says preview signature. You can see if it looks right. Then hit submit and it will appear at the bottom of your posts.

It will make more sense as you look at it,

BT, that sounds good to me. Usually this close to a cruise you dont get many more people joining a thread.

Just got some more wedding and reception photos tonight. Will post if any are extra good. My son took them for me since we didnt make the reception today.

Ok, this is just a test to see if I did the tickers right in my signature. Hopefully it worked!! Thanks, Kathy, for helping.... that was not intuitive as to where to go to edit your signtuare (the USER CP tab). I would have never guessed that is where I needed to go... of course, I'm not that computer savvy, so for me, it's usually a "user error" issue...

It took me 2 weeks to figure out how to post photos on a thread when I learned. Now it seems so easy.

I am always running to my son or husband for help.

I could probably ask any 5 year old and they could tell me how to do most things.

Sometimes you can go over your alloted space allowed for a signature and so it won't all show up.
I use to have all my cruises listed but it was too many spaces, so I changed to just the numbers.

Not sure if thats the problem but thats my best guess.

This totally is fine with me. I just wanted to know if the count is set right now, or if we could possibly get more, just for planning purposes... I don't have any FE gifts at all yet (need to still think about that... not sure if I'll bring stuff from home, or if I'll get stuff on our trip... I need to wait to be inspired when I find something that I think is perfect FE gift!). But, it's good to know that there could be a couple more cabins, so I'll just plan for that... or like you said, just pick up a few extra things in the ship gift shop or at a port.

Oh, this is TOTALLY me!! I am always asking my husband for help with the computer, too. I just am not a big technology person, with the exception of using the internet, and email. But, as for everything else, I'm just not a techy type of person... my friends always tease me because I also do not care about cell phones (I definitely have one, but I'm not picky about them, or picky about getting the newest latest coolest one, or all the apps, etc), so I just wait until my phone starts having issues, and then I just tell my DH to go get me a new phone and surprise me because I don't care... as long as I can call on it, and send text messages and check my email on it, I'm good. I'm pretty much that way with all technology... my rule of thumb, if it works, does the job it needs to do, then that is good enough for me. My DH on the other hand is not like that... so we have a lot of technology in our house, but that is not because of me! Part of that has to do with the fact that my DH works for a large internationally-wide high tech software company based out of the Seattle area , so that is why I just let DH deal with all the computer issues, questions I have.

And, yes, my kids can seriously get their way around computers SO much better than I can.

yes, that was the problem!! I just moved things up a few spaces, and it all showed up. So, there is a limit of how many spaces you can use in your signature. See... I was pretty proud that I figured that out!! That is about my level of figuring out technology.

It's aggravating to not have the right paper, Kathy (Gma). I'm working on something and have old inkjet paper but my printer is a laser. Now I'm trying to use family members printers and they don't have the same software as me! Yuck.

It's a little lonely out on the boards today, so thought I would add one for ya Kathy (Gma).

I haven't posted this week because we've been busy with our pastor's sudden death. He was only 52 and left a wife and 3 children of the home, please pray for them, if you will.

My thoughts are with his family, that is so sad.

Thank you Kathy (mom) for sending out the FE. I think sending out for 10 day's prior would be good, I will just get a few extras just in case.

Love everyone's tickers, I should attempt that. I do have it at the end of my email.

Yesterday I went out shopping and in the Disney Store they had the stuff characters as buy one get one free so I got them for the kids and I am going to take them with me on the cruise and leave them in the cabin for the kids with a note. I also got pj's for them reasonable price 2 for $30.

Well just grocery shopping today, my kids are at their dad's I get them back at 7p so not too sure what else I am going to do. Have a great Sunday!
