the official DIS cruise list also has

memere mouse (michele's parents)
mac_tlc
efrench 515
melanie c
and taysalyn

so we do have more DIS cruisers out there

(edited cos I cant spell)

You already have us listed, but I thought I'd respond anyway...

It will be me (38), DH(37), DD(10), DS(7), DD's Friend(11) and my parents...DM(Memeremouse) and DF.

If there are any other families with 7yo boys we'd love to hear from you. DD will have a friend aboard but DS needs some pals.

It'll be me (38) DW (37) DS (12), and DD(9). Looking forward to the cruise!

HEY! Sounds like there may be some babysitters on board... should the kids not like the club! haha

This is great! DS10 just found someone who will be in the lab with him

awww arent we a friendly group of overly excited/anxious cruisers?!
cant wait to meet everyone - when/where/how are we meeting?
who's staying at the radisson precruise night? we are

We're palnning on staying at the Rad the night before also. I hear the Mosquitos are terrible there, so any meeting would have to be before dark.

DIS'ers usually wear Lime green ribbons on the day of the cruise, and get together at the sail away party. I'm not sure we'll have the ribbons, but I try and talk DW into wearing her Lime green top!

This will be our 2nd Magic cruise, we went 9/27 last year. Anyone else been on the magic before?

imgoingtodisney, nedleycan, jlmcantwait...

Saw your posts under the Palo's thread.

Palos: Don't miss either the brunch or dinner! The dinner was awesome, and brunch was even better. Last year we did the "disney double dip." We had early seating (this year we have late) and ate a light dinner with the kids (light is relative on a cruise ship  ) and then went to Palo's around 9:30 or so. I don't think we'll do that again! We didn't get a reservation for high tea, so I can't comment on that. Plan on getting ressies early in the week, and then waitlisting for openings later on. It's that good!

Coffee: The coffee is made with syrup. I have to say it's better than expected, but it's not great. I'd give it an OK. I do think some of the bars (maybe?) and I do know Palo's has decent espresso, and maybe even brewed coffee.

We consist of DH (31) and me (31). No kids.

We are both excited about doing our first cruise. I would be interested in a meet or some kind of get-together. DH would like to try getting an impromptu poker game going. Nothing serious, just for fun one night in a lounge or something like that. Hubbies playing cards, kids in the club, and the wives at the hot tub drinking those tropical drinks with the little umbrella and pineapple on the side. How does that sound?

Sounds good to me. I love the idea of no kids and no hubbys (sorry Dear) sipping Pina Coladas. As long as it wasn't serious, my husband may be game.

Glad to meet all of you. We are game for a meeting!

Hold me a seat! We will let the winner buy the drinks!:smooth:
We better hope our kiddos like the kids club!!!!

ok - who has the biggest stateroom? DH said he'd love to be included in this poker game but doesnt think DCL will let us use a public room to play. We have a cat 10, deck 5.
Isnt this great? having our own thread? it's gonna be huge by Nov!!!

We probably won't join you for the poker/hot tub evening but would love to meet up with you some other time.

We'll actually be pretty "to-ourselves" on the cruise. My grandmother (89 this year) lives with us and it is getting harder to leave her alone while we vacation. She is still very, very capable and able to handle things on her own but she gets lonely without us. This will probably be the last trip we take with my parents for a while and because of that we want to spend as much time with them as we can.

So we're not being anti-social, we just want lots of family time on this trip.

No problem Michele, it is understandable.
Our room is on level 7 and is catagory (5?). It isn't the family suite, just the regular size with veranda.
