All you guys got all the rooms , so we are staying at Coronado Springs on property and driving over Saturday morning.

We would have stayed on property, too, but the airfare to Orlando was through the roof! I'm thinking that traveling during "Jersey Week" is going to end up on my NOT to do list! Bummer!

We are not flying into MCO either. The airfare was outrageous. We are flying into Sanford at $79 a person each way. If we have to rent a car and drive, we are driving to Port Canaveral. We will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge after the cruise.

It's not a bad drive, at all. 55 minutes at most! And if you take the Beeline, it's absolutely desserted!! Someone told me that it was because it is a toll road...Hey, we're from NJ...We do tolls!!

You know, I never thought to fly into Sanford, good call!

Did anyone else pick out shore excursions yet?

We are thinking of doing the Semi-submarine tour in the morning and then the Island Tour and Butterfly Farm in the afternoon, or vice versa.

We are also thinking of doing the submarine tour in Grand Cayman, but can't decide yet whether to do the semi-sub or fully submerged sub. In Cozumel we are thinking of doing the Beach Break. In Key West we are thinking of the Pirate Museum.

Since we haven't told DDs yet, I'm still doing preliminary planning, but was thinking of doing the pirate museum/butterfly farm on our own in Key West, one of the semi-submerged boats in Grand Cayman, and Chankanaab park on our own in Cozumel. I really just want a small sampling, not a bunch of excursions.

We aren't doing an excursion in Key West, we are just going to hoof it or maybe rent scooters and stop when we get the urge.

We had originally thought we would do the full sub, but it got low reviews while the semi subs got high marks. The full sub is more cramped and the windows are smaller (according to all the info I've been able to obtain). My extra long husband doesn't like sitting with his knees tucked under his chin, so we've decided on the semi-sub. We want to do the Disney Island tour rather than taking off on our own because my husband has real issues with safety. He is convinced that if we don't stay with a group we will be kidnapped, raped, murdered, raped again, and thrown to the sharks.

In Cozumel we want to do the jeep excursion with some friends whom I've never met except on these forums. They are a mother and daughter and wanted to do the tour, but neither of them drive a standard, so Mr. iwbm graciously offered to do the driving. Now watch, THEY will turn out to be the axe murderers! (Just kidding )

Hi All! We are also going on this cruise. I can't believe I am posting so late. We booked it in April. Guess my mind is on the 4 day we are going on in 2 weeks from today, very excited about that too . We got hooked when we did our first 4-day last July. The 7 day will be the longest cruise. It will be myself, my dh and my 2 youngest DS's 11 and 7.
I am from Central New Jersey. What does the Jersey week mean, is that for the teacher's convention? We have been in Disney that week and see a lot of people from home. Guess there will be a lot of people from NJ on this ship. Wonder if they can do a Jersey party complete with Bruce & Bon Jovi songs, Everyone have a good one!!

Booked late and got the last handicap accessible cabin for my Mom celebrating her 80th birthday on board, sister and myself. My Mom's a veteran world cruiser but this is the first for my sister and myself.
We are very excited!

shore excursions .... i think we have decided what to do, in Key West probably do one of the trolleys,then i can find a bar to watch the Packers game. Grand Cayman,get of the ship quickly and head to Eden rock try and squeeze a quick 2 tank dive. lunch at hard rock or hammerheads,then off to cemetery beach,where we went last year. Cozumel probably chankanab we missed coz last year,went to Costa Maya instead which was nice but not quite Coz.

how many people are NOT from NJ on this ship then ???? last time we cruised on the Magic there were 10 familys from the UK !!! and that was it.

I just received two packages from DCL yesterday. (We have 2 rooms reserved.)

I ripped them open expecting some travel doc, and was greeted with very elaborate marketing material. Inside was a very nice travel booklet (about 5" x 8" with about 20 thick full color pages). They listed excursions (no pricing of course ), what to bring, what to wear, etc. Essentially, everything in the DCL brochure, just condensed in size.

That was it. No letter, no other docs.

The only "personalized" info on them was notification that after I pay, I can make reservations starting Aug 20. (75 days out )

The envelope was huge (9" x 12") for the contents it held and had the DCL logo discreetly printed in the corner. Both held the exact same thing.

I don't think this is from my TA.

Anyone else get this?

Yes, I also got this packet the other day, except mine said I could start making ressies on August 5 (90 days out), since I'm a repeat cruiser (this is my second cruise). It was nice to get the packet, because now it helps get me more excited and the cruise seems that much closer.
