November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

I always buy a crap load of it at every sale. Yesterday I got six bottles of lotion for $20. It is great to keep on hand for spur of the moment gifts, plus I use it by the boat load. Don't tell anybody, but even my husband likes it. He says it works better than any lotion he has tried, but will only use it at night because it smells girly. He will use the Juniper Breeze in a pinch.:rotfl:

The anti-bacterial hand gels are also on sale. The 3 ounce bottles are always handy to have around, especially after hearing about the potential illesses on a cruise ship.

3 for $10.

It's a decent price, considering that a 3 pack of 2 ounce bottles of Purell is $8.22 on amazon.com.

Plus you get those great fragrances.

I bring my DDs in so they can choose their own scents. They like that. :flower3: And this makes them more likely to use the gels.

Just be careful with those gels around really little kids because there have been a lot of reports of kids getting alcohol poisoning from them, but you're right they will be super handy to have on a cruise! Didn't think about that!!

No one wants to have their cruise ruined (or money wasted) sitting in their cabin for three or four days!

Thanks for the warning.

I have already had the talk with them about using the gels. This is not their first bottle. Plus they are old enough to know better.

Besides, have you ever tried tasting the stuff? It is vile! :scared1: How any kid can down more than a dab is beyond me.

But kids have a natural curiosity. Couple that with lack of experience, and all sorts of situations occur. Some amusing, and some that result in a trip to the emergency room. :headache:

I didn't even think about the anti-bacterial stuff, but what a great idea. I'm sure Mr. iwbm won't mind smelling like a sun-ripened raspberry as long as he's clean! ;)

It's all over the ship!! They hand out wipes and there are dispensers at the doors of each of the restaurants. The kids love them!!! And it is a good way to try to keep the germs at bay.

I was thinking I might start a Yahoo group for the kids on the cruise. It would be private, invitation only (parents would email me) and monitored so it wouldn't get out of hand. What do you think? I'd like for my DDs to get acquainted with some of the kids before we get onboard.

I DID!! THANKS FOR THE REMINDER! :dance3:

Yes, I was shouting because I'm really excited. I got a great fare out of Chicago Midway. Not nearly as bad as I thought it could be. I just faxed my flight schedule to the company handling the disneyworldtrivia.com, Lou Mongello, group-sponsored part of the cruise.

I got a flight, paid more than I wanted too! I was expecting the rates to come out tomorrow not today!! Well, atleast I got a flight!!

I completely missed the sale.

The only viable times are now full price fares from Orlando to Philly.

I am very, very sad. :guilty:

Now my dilemma is to decide if I should purchase the full fare, or wait.

(Wait for what? I have no idea.)

Very sad.

I understand how frustrated you are, I booked mine at the high rate hoping it will go down. Did you try calling Southwest, somebody on another thread said sometimes it's cheaper when you call, I haven't tried calling yet.

I am also looking at other airlines out of MCO.

(It must be Philly, as we have already booked the flight to MCO. We are parking at the airport. So coming back to another airport is not an option. )

Other nonstops (AirTran, Delta, etc) are about the same price. Perhaps a tad more expensive than SW.

Oh, SouthWest... why have you forsaken me!!!
:cool2:<dramatic moment>

I think Southwest knows that it is a prime time for a lot of people in the area of Philly and New Jersey to travel.

Absolutley Jersey Week fares are out of control.
This is going to be our first time cruising with Disney and we opted to book directly thru them when we booked the cruise.....I'm curious why you guys chose not to do the same?
We go to Disney every November and last year I spend day after day hour after hour on this darn computer waiting for Jet Blue to post their fares I refused to do the same thing this year and that is why we opted to book the flight with the cruise reservation.

I never checked into booking my airfare with my cruise....I guess I thought it would be cheaper to do it on my own. How were the rates when you booked it as part of your cruise? Live and Learn!!

Why not add a couple of days at Disney after the cruise and fly home Monday AM? Southwest discounted fares are available then...

I thought it was around $270 .....A friend of mine who is also going wasnt happy with the flight we got ( it is not a direct flight ) she was told the air was $320... I guess I forgot to add on some fee's.

I honestly just didnt want to go thru the hassel of being on line stressing out over a flight for months, like I was last year. I was also told that if you book thru disney and the flight is delayed it is their responsibility to get you to the ship.
