November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

We just came back from the 1/6 Eastern. I am even more excited now for the 11/3 Western. Anyone with a posting on the front page feel like editing their post to include a list of DISers who will be there. I don't mind helping compile the list but I didn't post until the 4th page and that would be hard for people to find. It is nice to see a list of people and the ages of kids who are going.

hate to abandon ship - but we just transferred our res. to the eastern repo cruise

:wizard: here's wishing you all a magical cruise in November!!!!:wizard:

Is it Nov 3rd yet?
I can't wait for this cruise.
It will be our first Disney Cruise ( first time cruise for DS 10 and DD 8 ) my husband and I have cruised before on different cruise lines.
We normally go to Disney in NOV ( Jersey Week )
Anyone else from Central Jersey going?

This will be our second Disney Cruise. We took a 4 night cruise May 2006 and just loved it! It's our favorite cruiseline and looks like it's getting more popular! Two new ships!!! Wow! DH and I think that we'd like to do Italy on our next Disney Cruise.

We are from Central Jersey, and went to Disney for Jersey Week last year and on the 3 night Disney Cruise 2 years ago during Jersey week. It will be me, DH, and DS 8 and DS 9. Can't Wait!!!!

We are from Central Jersey and this is our 3rd year in row going Jersey week.:cool1:

WOW, 3 years in a row, that sounds like fun.
How has the weather been on your past cruises that time of year?

Yes, we are addicted to DCL, can you tell.:thumbsup2
The weather has been perfect......sunny and mid 80's, really nice.
I wished we had some of that right now :rotfl2:, but I guess it will be November before we know it.

Snow, blech. February was nasty in central NY, so we're looking forward to November as well. It's our 3rd Disney cruise, but our first on the Magic/western. We'd appreciate any recommendations for excursions too, our 2 DDs are staying home this time so it's only us "old people". Can't wait to see everyone in November!

Can you recommend any excursions? What has been your favorite?

**It just starting snowing.....UGH! I'm so ready for this cruise**

PARASAILING ON CASTAWAY CAY, absolutely wonderful!!!!

We have also done the Cozumel Beach Break, that was a fun day.....and we have also done the Island Tour and Snorkeling with the Stingrays in Grand Caymen. The Island Tour was really informative and it also included a stop at Hell and the Turtle Farm. The Turtle Farm was really cool. Snorkeling with the Stingrays, I have to say was a little overwhelming. Don't get me wrong, it was a great experience, the water was an incredible blue color, and I can say I have done it, but it was a little overwhelming especially for (at that time) my 8 DD.

I think this time we might just take it easy and not do too many excursions.
Been there done that!!! It's nice just to enjoy the ship when it's in port since so many people get off for excursions.

Everything sounds so exciting......
We are really looking forward to cruising with Disney.
DH and I have cruised before on other cruise lines but this will be the first for DS who will be 10 and DD 8. The closer the trip gets the more excited they get...

.......Is anyone else watching airfares for this trip? Please post when you see decent fares from the NE or when Southwest releases November fares.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

I am waiting for airfare from JetBlue out of Newark, NJ or Southwest out of Philly. Would prefer Newark.

If you don't mind me asking why didnt you guys include the airfare when you booked your trip? I was told it was best to have them take care of the airfare.....I remember this time last year being on line every day waiting for jet blue to post nov dates for our disney 06 trip..........what a nightmare it was.

Good luck!
