November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

We booked a gty Category 8 and just got our room #7012, our first room that has a "view." Which is exciting. Is there anyway to find out if it has a pull down bed. We had one on the first cruise, not 2nd. My daughter loved this feature.

I know there is a link somewhere that you can click on your room number and see what others have to say about that particular room. I just don't know how to tell you where to find it. Somebody here will know, though.

I know I just saw that info somewhere while browsing...I'm looking now to see if I can recall where I saw it. I specifically saw a chart of all staterooms listing maximum number of people...

If I find it, I'll post.:surfweb:

Well our DCL is paid in full....finally.

We got Palo's for 8pm on Key West Day. No brunch available.

And so far I booked the Pirate Encounter at Grand Cayman.

I think we're going to play Key West by ear. And not sure yet about Cozumel. I know the kids want to go to the beach.

I'm getting excited!!!! :yay:

Re the pirate encounter, what ages (kids) do you think it is geared for? I'm still debating over excursions for Grand Cayman.

HOwever, I made sure my massage was booked first:woohoo:

Hi guys,

Has anyone ordered a basket from Shirley, esp. for a kid? If so what was in it, and do you know if she puts lanyards, and trading pins in?

Thanks you guys are such a great help.

Connie

My kids will be 9 and 4 at the time of the cruise. Both are really into Pirates of the Carribbean. When I showed them the website that explained the excursion, they both got really excited.

My kids will be 8 and 9 at the time of the cruise, and we also signed up for the Pirate Encounter.

I know there are a lot of us coming from NJ for this cruise. I was just wondering if anyone who booked through Disney was able to get non-stop flights from Newark. I'm asking because our TA failed to make our flight arrangements and only did so when I pointed out that she hadn't. :headache: We had booked this cruise in May 2006 and she just made the flight reservations a couple of days ago. We were able to get non-stop flights coming and going, but she stated that it is really difficult if you book your flights through Disney to get non-stop flights. I was just wondering how everyone else made out. This is our 4th Disney Cruise and we have ALWAYS booked everything through the TA. This current TA dropped the ball on our reservation. I would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

My brother made the flight res. and i know to get the cheapest nonstop flights we have to go to philly.(we are in nj),so from what iheard its really difficult.

Thanks for the info VeronicaWest. For the past three cruises, we let the TA book everything through Disney and we always had non-stop flights from Newark. This time there weren't any flights through Disney left, so our TA had to do it seperately. We are very fortunate that it worked out.

I know you guys are sick of hearing it, and will want to strangle me by time we get on the cruise, but I am so THRILLED that DH and I were able to get nonstop flights for $79 a person each way!:thumbsup2

(I had to book it myself though.)

That's excellent! But I don't think it happened much if you were traveling from NJ to MCO. We got $225 each round trip with a stop in Atlanta. We are flying into Melbourne, FL. And since it's only 20 - 30 minutes from the port, I didn't mind the layover. I book all airfare myself...I know what the TA's do...:)

I always book our airfare myself. We are flying out of Philly with a layover in Charlotte on the way down and we have a direct flight home. We paid 220pp which I didn't think was bad--it was the same as last year during Jersey week.

Only 4 more days until we can make our ressies!!:cheer2:

Nope, not veranda.

It's an "inside" room with a porthole to the outside world.
The porthole has a partially obstructed view, so DCL markets it as an inside room.

ahh ok...already got one with a port hole lol...i was hoping for one of the ones with the blocked verandah

We aren't in NJ, we're in Pittsburgh. But we got non-stop from PIT-MCO on SWA for $99.00 O/W.

Thats a pretty good fair compared to some I've seen but still way more then when we went to WDW this past June.

BTW, the kids passports came today. I like theirs, they are way prettier then mine and DH's.

Soon we'll be cruising on the 'Mickey boat" . Thats what DD (3) calls it.
