November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

Everytime I go shopping I pick up something "for the cruise." The only problem is that now I have more "cruise" clothes than I will be able to wear in 10 days!

I booked my flight this morning.:surfweb: I paid $443.60 for the two of us to fly round trip from Fort Wayne, IN to Orlando, FL.

Almost everytime I am at the store, I see something even if it's something small to put away for the cruise. I love it!!!!:thumbsup2

New dilemma. The airline I am flying on has limited us to two bags each. How am I supposed to pack for a 7 day cruise in two bags???? HUH????

But I'm not married to Hulk Hogan. Who is supposed to lift these steamer trunks?

Well, since there are two of you (I am assuming...) that means 4 bags total. If you limit the "his" bags to only one, that makes 3 for you!

Hmmm, well you got a point there! Okay, how about some space bags? Those bags that suck the air out and leave you with a really small thin bag. Then again, you may have to borrow the room stewards vacuum when packing for home!

Two bags, surely they jest!

And splurging on having laundry done during the week? It really makes me feel as if I am being pampered when I fill out one of those laundry lists and it comes back clean and folded!!! And it really doesn't cost that much.

And what would be the point of shopping "for the cruise" if I can't pack what I buy??:confused3

LOL!! Just don't forget the 50lb. weight limit!! My son got hit with the overage fee last October, 'cause his wife thought she was being smart and packed everything into ONE bag!! $25!!! And mom (moi) paid for it!!

Hey, if you don't get to bring all of your new "cruise clothes" on this cruise...:lmao:

Going to apply for our passports today! :cool1: I'm a little nervous with baby and DD3...hope the pictures and everything goes ok. IT does make it a little more real!

Going to apply for the passports IS exciting (and expensive---whew!).

Yup, that was very depressing paying all that money for passports! DH says we better be going somewhere else after this to get our money's worth!

On another note, does anyone with little kids have excursions planned? We'll have DD 4 and DD just turned 1. I'm thinking going to the beach at Cozumel or G Caymen? I don't like Disney's beach excursion times (or prices!) so trying to figure something out on my own.

I found us at the bottom of page two. We must not be as enthused as some of the other cruisers (or we are all out busily shopping for OUR upcoming cruise).

Oh, I am definately enthused!!!!  but have been very busy at my DD's school with all the end of the year activities and such. I am looking forward to summer break.:)

I'm very excited about it, but we are still at that point, where if I let myself go, I'll be just a wiggling, over-excited, bordering on the insane mess by time November rolls around. I'm trying to keep it on the down-low for now!

But, I did find a bathing suit from Lands' End that I liked and went to Sears and purchased it because I wasn't keen on the idea of ordering and sending back in case it was supremely unflattering. Not that any bathing suit looks good over a size 10, but well, whatcha gonna do??

:boat:
