November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

We applied for our passports the end of April, but still haven't recieved them yet. I'm hoping by the end of June, since that will be 3 months. They have shown up as being processed for about 2 months now, and the check was cashed about 3 weeks after we applied.

A swimsuit is the one thing I don't dare buy without trying it on. I'll wait a few weeks when they go on clearance and find a nice one at Macy's.

...guess I better officially sign in. Myself, DH, DS, and DD are traveling with a large group that keeps growing. Our group of 20 is now 31:grouphug: (9 cabins, 18 adults, and 13 kids). WOW!!!!!!popcorn::
We may need to research detox centers for when we get off the ship??????:rotfl2:

Wow! Nine rooms!

Did you get a group discount from DCL? And arrange for a complimentary cocktail party or amenity from the TA?

I hear there are supposed to be benefits for a large group sailing together.

Do tell! :goodvibes

And if they throw you a free cocktail party, just go ahead and add my name to your group!:hippie:

wait whats this about a free party? we are coming with a group of 19 all together...wheres our party :( ?

I have no plans to detox, defat yes, but detox no. You can't make me. Are we there yet?

150 days....(And yes I finally counted Dizma....22 trash days)

and then it will be over before we know it and the credit card bills will start rolling in:scared:

No word of any free cocktail party, but I'm sure we'll be having many of our own. All are welcomed!;)

Wow...I haven't been on the thread since we got home from our last cruise in November 2006 and I have tons of catching up to do!! I was just online looking for airfare from NJ to Orlando and I cannot find anything under 400.00 per person!!!

We always fly Spirit and always got our flights for around 200.00. I believe they are finally catching on to Jersey Week:rolleyes:

Oh well ...I will keep looking!!!! There are 8 of us and we want to fly in on Friday!

My DD wanted me to ask if there are any other 14yr olds dd's cruising? Last cruise she met a friend thru the disboards and they had a blast together!! I can't wait to have a Corona at Paradise Beach in Mexico:yay:

Did you try Southwest? I know right now they are only open for reservations until Nov. 2nd, so I just booked a one way and I think at the end of June they will open reservations through January. Good Luck!

No I haven't tried Southwest! Do you think you can PM me when the dates open up for a return? I always miss the good fares LOL!

According to the Southwest site (under Travel Tools):

"We are currently accepting air reservations through November 2, 2007. On June 28, we plan to open the schedule for purchase through January 16, 2008. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently."

Note the "plan to". This mean "we may, we may not". ;)

I also booked one way tixs, with hopes of the fare being reduced.

Anyone have a good rate for a hotel with a shuttle to the port? :)

Anyone else that don't have flights booked beginning to panic? In all prior fall trips to Disney World and the cruise, our flights were booked by March. I'm worried that this waiting for airfares to drop is going to bite us in the butt. This morning, the fares out of Stewart in Newburgh, NY went up instead of down.
On the good news front, we managed to book a three-bedroom grand villa in the AKV for two nights after the cruise. We're taking advantage of the Veteran's Day holiday and staying until Monday.

We applied for passports for our children in March and have not received them as of today. I will be checking again in the next few days on their status. Glad we didn't wait too close to November to apply!

With the cruise in mind. Came home with $380 worth of work/cruise clothes! Now that our May trip is over, I can concentrate on the next!! But, I have to admit, I'm making reservations at our DVC "home" on Monday for May 2008! I never want to have a moment without a Disney vacation planned!!

I'm ready to start packing...LOL!

The excitement is building at our house. Anybody else?

I think the excitement will get a bit stronger later this month. Mainly because we have a much smaller vacation in a few weeks that we are also excited about. After that though, we'll all be focused on November!!

Also, I'm waiting on SWA to get their prices/schedules up for November.
