November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

You're right, I just tried it for 11/11 and it didn't work. I'm flying in 11/2 and back on 11/12 to take advantage of Veteran's Day holiday. Somehow, JetBlue has prices for 11/12.

ok ...first cruise and as it gets closer im starting to get a little nervous :guilty: my issue isnt about seasickness like everyone assumes...i have this issue with being out in the middle of the ocean :scared1: ....thats y when i get "sea sick" looking at the horizon makes it worse....

m i strange?

but dont get me wrong , i am VERY VERY excited n cant wait...:beach:

i guess you all have a job on this trip...help me to NOT think about being in th emiddle of the ocean away from land:grouphug:

fyi i love to fly...weird huh?

My Dad refers to it as "leviathanophobia". :rolleyes1 I completely understand as that was my big fear right up there with motion sickness. I did the 3 nighter just fine, but still have some qualms about the 7. I'm planning to keep myself seriously busy enjoying the ship to keep my mind off it!

SFed, we checked into it. We are still going Allegiant, $79 each way. We want the extra day at the end to unwind at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. If we had kids it might be a different story, but the extra charges still don't equal gas money to Indy and parking for 10 days. But then, we are only buying 2 tickets, not 5!

Flying out of Chicago looks like it might be pricey too! I'm sure as the summer progresses and people decide it's too expensive to travel, the rates will moderate somewhat. I'm not going to worry about airfare for another month or so yet.

Still waiting for SWA to release its fares past 11/02/07. C'mon Southwest...time to set the pace.

Southwest will release its fares past 11/02/07 on or around June 28th.

Now JetBlue has the flights for Nov. 3 -11 listed and the price is crazy;
it's $700!!! I'm hoping the price comes down.

whew! at least im not the only one! and apparently someone else said we would see land most of the time....so that helps.

oh and i said sept because that leaves one month till the cruise and i LOVE prepareing for trips...you know, the packing the shopping the anticipation, the planning of the excursions and finally knowing the itinerary((my dad and older brother actually make out itinerarys for our trips)

Just curious if I'm the only one that needs to get in shape before this cruise. I refuse to go on another vacation....(heavy)
Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?
If there is anyone else out there maybe we can encourage one another to stay on track over the next few months....

If we aren't all in the same boat now, we will be in November!

I'm trying to get into shape. I've got a shape. It's just not the shape I want. The curves are all going the wrong way!

im am definately trying to get into shape. the way i look at it is if im going to be in the carribean on a cruise then i should be able to be comfortable in a bikini and in shorts. i have to loose about 20lbs. im trying to eat better and i have started yoga then when i can do yoga without sweating(im that out of shape) and the weather warms up, i will start doing laps. DH and i have a bit of a bet going that i will look better than him by the cruise and hes already ahead of me in the weight loss and tone dept. so i have to catch up lol.

what do you guys have planned to do to get back into shape?

Weight Watchers is my ticket.....And being that tomorrow is Monday ( my weekly day I normally announce to my husband that "I'm starting Weight Watchers".....I guess you can say I'm gonna start tomorrow...only this time I hope I stick to it...I've done it before and now I can do it again...but I'm either really good or really bad.....there is no middle ground for me and that why I lose and then gain it all back. I would like to be 40 pounds lighter by November.........

for those of you who have gone on the disney cruise already, what are the blankets like? i know that sounds dumb but it has alotto do with how i sleep. are they like normal hotel beadspreads? or are they nicer? i know the shampoo is top of the line but i didnt know about the bedding

I am in shape, that shape just happens to be round.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That's exactly what I say every January, and yet, every November I never am. :sad1: I'm trying really hard to get motivated (I really don't care how I look, I'd just like to feel better) so maybe we can start a Cruisin' to November Fitness Support Group!

Sorry for the sarcasm, I've been on the yo-yo kick most of my life, at one time losing 70 lbs, just don't seem to keep it off. For me though, target dieting so I can jump on board to eat and drink is self defeating. If I were to do that then I would just end up depressed that I'm blowing the work it took to lose it, don't get me wrong, for health reasons I should lose, but I have maintained the same weight for several years, I may be large but I'm also happy.:cool1:

Well, count me in. I would LOVE to lose 30 to 40 pounds before November. Think I can?

Okay, and the meatloaf and mashed potatoes I had for dinner didn't help.

However, my mother-in-law made some brownies from a "diet" cake mix (I never heard of one, but I don't buy cake mixes, so maybe they have them on the market now) and a can of diet cola. Mix those two items together and bake. Then she topped it with fat free non-dairy whipped topping. I was her guinea pig, and to be honest with you, it was GREAT!

Oh, and she brought that over while I was cooking dinner, so I had dessert first! Yeah, I'm WELL on my way to losing 30 pounds.

Just an FYI... I like to cook with soda - 7-Up on ham, Coke on Beef, etc., but I've always read that you should never cook with diet soda. I even have a Coca Cola cookbook. The recipes we've tried are always good. There is a fat free brownie mix called Pudge brownies. They're pretty good...

Well with the weather warming up in the northern sections of the US, we should all be able to get out there and have a nice walk a couple times a week. That will definitely help us feel and look better for our cruise in November!
