Welcome. We're going as grown ups as well, we'll just be taking our 10 DS and 12 DD with us. It's nice that the cruise can accommodate all our needs.

Luv this! I'm excited to find this thread. We will be on this cruise too! We have only cruised the Wonder (although dh and I are taking an adult only in August on the Dream), so are very excited to be on a different ship. In addition, we haven't cruised in six years, everyone is so excited.

ETA: our kids with us on this trip will be DS16, DS13, & DD11!

Hi everyone! Like most me and my family are super excited to be cruising this upcoming November! I was hoping for some advice. My family and I are flying into Ft Lauderdale the day before (Thanksgiving) the cruise...got a great deal on airfare. Does anyone have recommendations on where it's better to stay overnight, Miami or Ft Lauderdale? Is anyone else doing this?

I have only booked my airfare return from FLL, however my plans are to fly in on 11/27 to Orlando and enjoy a day at the parks for Thanksgiving!

We are flying into Miami the night before the cruise and staying at the embassy suites at Miami airport... A good deal from Expedia! Kids are excited for the cruise! Sounds like there are more and more kids their age... We are me 42 DW 41 and 4 kids ... DSD15 DSD12 DSS8 and DSD6... My 9th on. Disney and my wife's 2nd.. Kids 1st cruise ever!

In going to try to convince them of them fun of the FE.. Wish me luck!

Hi everyone! We are new to Disney cruises (well to cruises in general!) We're thinking about going on a November cruise. Originally thought about the 15th, but now we're pretty sure we're going to book this one! Can anyone give us any suggestions on veranda vs. inside staterooms? We're trying to decide if the extra money for a veranda is worth it. Our DD is 2 1/2 years old. My thoughts were if she takes a nap, it'd be nice to sit outside on the veranda, rather than be stuck inside. We're trying to decide if we want to book an inside stateroom and take a chance that we may be able to upgrade. We think we'd like to get involved with a FE (thought it'd be fun for DD.) Our group is DH, DD, my MIL, and myself. We just wanted to come in here and say hi and see if anyone has any advice for us newbies :)

I'm not sure if this will help you, but veranda rooms are a little bit bigger. Since you will have three adults in your party, it might help. We don't spend much time in the room, but for us it's worth it. We like to seat outside and enjoy our coffee while kids are still asleep. We keep the door open and enjoy fresh air and natural light, dry our swim suits, read.... just love it!!!:yay::yay::yay:

I am pretty sure the extra square footage (from 214 for an inside to 268 for a veranda is just the veranda space) anyone else, correct me if I'm wrong, please.

This will be our first time going on a cruise and we are very excited:cheer2: . We were very excited to hear that the ship was getting a remodel and can not wait to see what it looks like. We are hoping that it will be decorated for the holiday's. We would love to participate in the FE, it looks like so much fun. Here is our information:

November 2013 - 5 Night on Disney Magic
The Needham's - DH, DW, DS(9) and DD(7)

We (DW, DH, DS(9) and DD(7) are also flying into Miami the night before the cruise and are staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Miami airport. They offered a Cruise and Stay package that I purchased, so we have transportation to the ship the next day. This is my DH and kids first cruise ever! And it was very easy for me to convince my kids to participate in the FE. Can't wait until November:).

Hi there!

We are trying to decide betwen a trip to Disneyland or this cruise. The cruise would cost more and we are trying to weigh the two. :) The FE sounds so much fun. I know this sounds silly but can you tell me how many families are signed up for the FE on this cruise?

Thanks

I am curious as well. I am ready to get started making my fish extender gifts. I have PM'd Monkey28 to see if she is still willing to handle the list.

I have been extremely busy and have not done a great job of getting involved with this wonderful group :grouphug:...with that said and I may have asked this before...so sorry...
Would you all participate if I set up a FaceBook page...it is so much easier to communicate on a closed group on FB??
I really want to be part of the FE and I am not sure where we stand on that??? Anyone know??:confused3
