November 25th, 2016 - Black Friday on the Wonder

Told our kids when we were 60 days out from sailing.. They have never even been to the beach before, so this will be an exciting vacation for them.. We did a treasure hunt through the house and ended it with gift bags and a treasure box of chocolate coins and trading pins.. They are so excited!!

Quick question from a newbie: Hypothetically speaking, if we went through with a "port upgrade", but also were involved with a Fish Extender group....what would we do to notify? Maybe put a note in our groups fish extender?
(I understand our ship likely won't have too many upgrades available, and I'm probably too cheap to do it anyways....)

I will have a white board on my door to write room changes although depending on when you deliver your gifts, you could put a note in them. Or leave a message on each rooms wave phone. I am going to try to be at the meet we have planned on embarkation day and I will have the board with me to list any changes. With so few rooms available I doubt I'll need it but you never know!

So I had posted elsewhere awhile ago about anyone wanting a SW bag and I still have some left. This is open to anyone and you can pick it up at the meet n greet that is planned. If you would like one(or more) just let me know so I can pack them up next month These are reusable grocery bags so they are not small-if you want exact measurements I'll look at what I posted months ago.

For folks concerned about the Castaway Crew, they were evacuated Sunday evening by the Dream. I'm sure Disney built CC to withstand hurricanes so hopefully it won't suffer too much. Although Matthew is a Cat 4 major hurricane I'm sure CC will be back to normal by the time we get there. FYI, Coast Guard just announced that PC is closing tomorrow (Wed) afternoon to all traffic.

13 Mondays until we set sail (or 87 days)!! Those of you with super young kiddos---are you planning on taking any toys? I was thinking maybe like 3 toys and a few books, as a just in case. Luckily our daughter is usually easily entertained...

My kids are 8 and 4.. They already want to pack their suitcases with tons of toys.. I am limiting them to 3 small/med stuffed animals!! I am sure they will want to purchase every stuffed animal they have on the ship!!

As of right now they're evacuating the campground and we have to be out by 11am tomorrow. We're probably just going to head home sometime tomorrow mid day. If we were staying (they'd put us in a hotel), we'd have to stay under lock down in the hotel for 24 hours.

So on embarkation day there will be a meet and greet for anyone interested and it will be from 3:15 - 3:45 in the Crown and Fin. This is for everybody on the cruise on all sites

Our normal 6.5-7 hour drive took almost 9.5 hours, but we're home safe and sound. After seeing some posts from those who stuck it out at WDW, I'm glad we left. Looks like the dream will try to get into PC Saturday or Sunday.

Hi Fellow FE Group 3 cruiser, good to meet you (I'm Grandma in Stefileslie85). At the time I posted the above message we were trying to see if there were any potential FE people that hadn't signed up yet as we needed 1 more cabin to close our group. As of this morning it looks +1 joind our group - yay! +1!!! So our group is finally closed. We'll get to finalize our FE shopping this weekend

I have started last minute FE groups - max of 5 rooms per group if anyone wants to join.
I have also started the pixie dust list if anyone wants their info added. In this group you are not required to gift others and you may not receive anything, no guarantees. It is pixie dust so it will be a surprise. You can sign up everyone in the room/kids only/adults only, your choice. The list is being made for anyone who has extra FE gifts so they have all the rooms listed in one group who would like pixie dust. If anyone would like a copy of the pixie dust list, let me know and I will get it to you.
