November 21, 2012: Giving Thanks(giving) for a DREAM come true!

We booked our airfare today for the 3 of us and my parents...had to swallow a $282/person cost, but in the end it will be worth it! My sis is still considering driving, but we keep reminding her what I-95 will be like the Sunday after Thanksgiving!

Looking forward to "meeting" everyone here before meeting everyone "there"!

What day are you all heading down, we are going on the 17th(Saturday), heading to the parks for a few days first. The after the cruise heading back to Disney to go to the MVMCP that Sunday night. Anyone else doing anything before or after?

We are heading down on the 19th, one day at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and MK, then heading back very early Monday am (so DD doesn't miss another whole day of HS classes). Thanks for the tip on MVMCP for Sunday night. We might have to ck that out!

I have never been to a MVMCP- we are very excited. Really we have never been down at Disney when it wasn't sweltering hot(and we still love it- LOL) but really excited to see the parks and all decorated. :banana:We have a 9am flight on Monday- DH has to work that night, couldn't get off.

While we have never done MVMCP, we have done the Halloween and Pirate versions which were very nice, especially for the kids (though the candy on Halloween was plentiful and pretty good)...

Also, from an FE standpoint, we should gauge interest pretty soon...I can say for sure that all 3 of our families will participate, and likely will do a mini-FE even if the Board does not do one.

My two cabins are definitely in for an FE - I've had my mother working on the items for 4 months!

Hello!

I'm brand new to the board and planning on being on this cruise as part of a family group to celebrate my father-in-law's 80th birthday this year. Thanksgiving was the only time we could all gather and he decided this would be a great way to spend family time. :-)

My family will have two rooms since there are six of us -- Me, my husband, and our four kids: age 11 (by then) girl, age 8 boy, and 4 year old boy/girl twins.

Looking forward to "meeting" all of you!

A friend who took a Disney cruise last year told me about the FE exchange and I think my kids would love to participate if one gets organized.

We have done the Halloween and Pirate versions also, really enjoyed both, so fully expecting to love the Christmas one too.

Welcome to the Dis and the cruise meet!!! The more the merrier!!!

Hi! Just jumping on board and subscribing. I'm Leslie, and my family will be doing this cruise for Thanksgiving. My husband and I are going on our very first cruise in late September (just a 3 nighter) and then will be back with the boys 2 months later. We'll do a few days in WDW before the cruise and make a week of it. Can't wait!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone...I need to go back and read now but just wanted to jump in and say hi.

Forgot to say, we're definitely in for FE...mom, dad and 3 boys (12, 8 and 5 at that point.) So much fun!

I was planning to sew a simple pocket FE, but I know there are lots of options at etsy.com (I was looking there for ideas ;-) )

We are:

DD - 11
DS - 8
Twin DD and DS - 4

I'll ask the other people travelling with us if they'd be interested in an exchange as well.

Hello everyone!!! We are quickly approaching the beginning of the on-line check-in/booking windows...that means the trip
Is getting ever so close!! Does anyone know/figured out how many FE cabins (and cruisers) we have signed up??? Just wondering since our "gifts" are handmade...don't want to be short on numbers.

We're among the last to get online booking for stuff since none of us have ever taken a Disney cruise before and don't qualify for any other early perks (as far as I know).

I thought there was a list of participants on the first post? I'm not sure if anybody's maintaining it, though.
