Now that I remember, we were on the same cruise last year and "Old Dogs" was in theaters on the same day before Thanksgiving. They did the prem"ear" at midnight, but we didn't go because 1) it was past my bedtime; 2) we had the first half of a long drive back to Texas once we got off the ship, so DH had to rest; and 3) we heard it wasn't a very good movie.
This year, we don't have to drive back and the movie looks like a good one so I am sure we'll (I'll) be able to stay up for it.

I'm glad that we're getting closer. it still feels like it's a ways away, but hopefully will be here soon. I'm really looking forward to it.
My DD(6) decided to be a Pirate for halloween so that she'd have a new outfit for the cruise party. (That's my girl!)

We've started our FE projects, but aren't quite done yet.

I'm still waiting for our room assignment. This is the first time we've booked a "GTY" category and the waiting is killing me! I want to feel official!

The movie screening is tempting, but we're heading back to WDW and plan to visit the parks, so I'm not sure we'll make it past midnight. I guess we'll have to see.

We booked Cat10 GTY. I keep checking once, sometimes twice a day waiting to see. I'm hoping that maybe once we hit the 45 day mark it will be listed. When I've checked the website to see what staterooms are even available for this sailing, nothing shows up. I'm not sure what to think about that (sold out?, held for TA's?)

We're cat 9 GTY and still waiting too! Hoping for an upgrade like everyone else. Last cruise we booked at cat 12 GTY and ended up with a cat 9! I'm afraid my pixie dust was all used up and it's too much to hope for it again. Either way we'll be happy with the porthole for sure! Just would like a higher deck than 1 or 2.

I love being on decks 5 and 6 forward.

Last year on the Magic for our girls' cruise, we were upgraded from a Cat 12 to a Cat 9 - deck 2. Cat 12's are most likely upgraded as there are only 13 Cat 12 staterooms, and the DVC staff, some entertainers and contractors get those staterooms.

Really, it doesn't matter where my stateroom is as long as I am on the ship!

I have always received my stateroom before we received the upgrade. Last cruise we went on I did not receive an upgrade. However, the one before we did and didn't know it until we got to the port because I thought like you... I have my docs and my room # so didn't see an upgrade in the future. Was upgraded from a cat 11 to a cat 7.

My sis and I are cat 11 and were on a GTY and did get our room (7123). If we get an upgrade great! If not... its ok too... won't be in the room much on a 3 day! Just happy to be there!
Mom and dad are in a cat 10 and don't have their room yet.

According to Orbitz and the Disney Cruise website this cruise is sold out and not available. If that is the case.... I doubt many upgrades will happen.

Have we set up a meet time and place? I can't recall. With so many folks GTY status, we definitely need to have everyone who is participating in the FE exchange drop by the meet- so any room changes can be noted! My last cruise we had a sheet at the meet, everyone initialed their room assignment on the spreadsheet.

Nothing worse than nobody knowing where you are if you ended up getting moved!

We are getting so excited. DH told the kids today we should go ahead and pack. My DD Rachel has outgrown her pirate outfit (again!) so guess we'll be heading to the halloween store the day after Halloween for her! Last year DS got a new costume.

Thanks for the tip! I checked earlier today and the cabin still wasn't assigned yet. We have our room assignment now too - no upgrade, but we're Cat 10, Deck 2 mid-ship. It's nice to have a home!

Yay! We got our assignment too. Still a cat 9- but at least it's deck 2, not deck 1.

Hi everyone... we were supposed to be on this cruise, but due to circumstances beyond my control we had to reschedule it before final payment as I did not know if we would be able to make it. Been trying to get back on it, but it's full!

Since I am doing a B2B I think I am going to ship them ahead, so I know I want to be finished by the end of the month and have the box arrive a week before sailing. Anyone else who is shipping a box (for any reason), be sure to follow the directions in the sticky. I also encourage you to have your room number all over that box, and a packing slip inside- and bring a packing slip WITH YOU so if there is a problem you can prove to DCL what you had in there. On last fall's cruise we had a FE participant that had her box delivered to the family sailing the week before our cruise! And it turns out, they were not nice people...they kept the gifts inside the box. DCL made it right, but it was a lot of work and on a 3 night there is not enough time for that.
