November 21, 2010 Wonder 3 day - FE Info Post #70

Hi Fantich and Cooksonmom! I'm away from home right now but I will definitely add your families to the FE exchange!

Ok Fantich... Themes for your magnets! I never thought about having a theme. I usually have one with our family name and the ship/date. I sometimes do several with our names/favorite characters. I'll even bring one from a past cruise. A theme would be a cute idea!

Hi, guys! We booked this cruise rather last minute on Friday. Realized the dates fit DD's new week of Thanksgiving off School schedule and went for it. We will be Myself, DH, and DD-16.
This will be our third Disney cruise, all on the Wonder. We had planned the Med cruise, but moved it to 2011 because of some medical reasons. Everythings all better and we needed some Disney time. I want to sit on the beach at Castaway Cay.

Welcome lcsmom and family!!!!

Two months and some days until our sail date.

November can't get here soon enough!

Does anyone know if room service will leave you your food if your not in the room?

Thank you!

Was checking out the possibilities at Castaway Cay and was wondering, waht happens if there is a cool spell?
Specifically, DD loves the Wild Side excursion ( and I like relaxing on the adult beach while she does it) and has requested it and shopping in Nassau. Will the teens do the Wild Side if it actually gets cool? Will I have to worry about her and hypothermia? We were delighted with how much cooler the water was at Castaway Cay a few July's ago than what we experience on the Texas Gulf Coast in July.

LOL... Disney keeps an eye on the water temperature and if it is any danger to you or your daughter they will not allow swimming in the water. 99% of the time the water stays above what it needs to although it seems cool to us. Your daughter will be fine for sure! Remember... she's in Disney's hands! :thumbsup2

I love the adult beach at CC. On this cruise, we'll be at the family beach with 4 grandchildren and their parents.

We were at CC in January 2009 - we had a very cool, rainy week - western Caribbean. I wore jeans and a sweater due to the windy, sunny day. Some people were in the water. A bad day at CC is fine with me - I'm there!

Hi! We are going on our first Disney Cruise November 21, 2010 too. It will be myself, my husband, our son (10) and our daughter (8). We will be going after spending a week at the parks. We are very excited and I'm interested in learning about the fish extender.

Thanks,
Jackie

Welcome Jackie and family. Caution: DCL cruising is addicting. DCL is a lot like a potato chip -- you can't just have one chip.

Disney's movie "Tangled" (looks to be about Rapunzel) is in theaters on Nov. 24th. Does that mean we will get to see a prem"ear" after midnight on the 23rd? I sure hope so.

Just thought I'd check in, with about 7 weeks until we sail I've started working on my FE gifts and need to print out my magnets for the stateroom door. Have we decided to have a group meet and greet the day we board? We were considering staying at the Country Inn and Suites the night-great internet rate for those looking- before we board but since we only live a couple hrs away we are just going to drive up the say we sail.
Can't wait to meet you all.

Woooo! Getting closer. We'll be flying in super early Saturday, staying the night on points at Disney. Going to check out as many Christmas decorations as possible, then on to the ship Sunday. I hope its sunny, looking forward to Castaway Cay.:beach:

Oh Gosh! I haven't started this yet! I have done my magnets but not my FE yet. UGH! :scared1:
