November 2016 Rehabs @ Disneyland ~

Hoping someone knows....I must plan a three day entry to Disneyland and want to make sure Pirates will be open. The link below was found on the DIS site and states November 2016 Disneyland Park Rehabs:
Pirates of the Caribbean. Sure would appreciate if this could be confirmed. Thank you kindly ~

Ooo I do hope someone can tell you its not true!! I will be heading to Disneyland in November as well and was super sad to see this listed. Its an absolute favorite in my house and would be heartbreaking to have it closed.

I really hope that's wrong. There have been very strong rumors that ToT will be closing in the fall for an extended time. I would be very sad to miss both that and Pirates.

What you linked to was the park hours/parade and show times page here on the dis. It says at the top they are unreleased. My understanding is that theses are last years times etc until Disney releases the official times at about 6-8 weeks out.

As mad hatter fan said, the person who maintains the calendar on the Dis uses a previous year's calendar as a template, but doesn't remove the old information (that's what was told in a previous thread when this was asked). So none of the information on the November 2016 calendar should be considered accurate or even necessarily likely. It just means that in some year in the past, PotC went down for a rehab in November. It doesn't even mean that it happens in many years; it just happened in the year that he used as the template. Disneyland releases their operating calendar about 45-days in advance and the refurbishment information comes out starting them (always subject to change without notice). So for November, we won't really know much about what is going to be happening until mid-September.

Me too! I was there for three days at the beginning of November and it was definitely not down! We rode it 6 times as it is my nieces favorite ride!

The calendar template is not necessarily last year. My guess is that he uses the last year that was similar to this year; for example, I'm guessing he copied 2011 as the template for 2016 because the days of the weeks line up (11/1/16 is a Tuesday, as was 11/1/11).

There are other issues with what is there. They list PTN 5 times over the day on many of the days. I'm not sure what they did there.

My guess is it has something to do with adding a space for Paint the Night because the times seem similar to the Laughing Stock Times. Regardless, they'll straighten it out when the information for November 2016 is released and can be added to the calendar.
