I got the same e-mail a while back and it is a discount. I priced it out on the website and through the link in the e-mail and there was a $500 difference at AoA family suites. It might not be the exact same but it sure sounds a lot like what i got

The specific code mentioned in that poster's email is a rack rate code. Your code must have been different. There are several threads about the SX6 code being nothing but an advertisement.

Yep! I have received that one several times. It prices out the same as rack rate.

I was very lucky today, I had my mom call and she had the free dining PIN on her account. I was able to apply it to 2 of our 3 reservations. We check in on 11/23, the last day it is good for during Thanksgiving. My sister doesn't check in until the 26th so she couldn't get it. My mom and I had to change to garden view rooms, but still saved tons. My mom saved about $700 and I saved about $1600.

Yep, that is correct! Got the same code for the time that we like to travel in November. Definitely rack rates! I feel bad for some people who don't know any better and actually booked thinking they got a discount!

i just called to verify and it is only a promotional code with no discount attached. i find that funny myself. why have a promotional code if your not offering a discount?? very odd!

It says to mention the code so that the marketing department will khow how you became interested in getting a quote. They want to know that it was because they sent out the flyer. It is just a marketing tool.

Check your email or call Disney directly. A new PIN for free dining was just released. I think the Nov check in dates around your timeframe were the 11th through the 23rd. Public discounts won't be out until at least July. Good luck and so sorry for your situation.

We used to get PIN codes fairly regularly. I haven't had one in the last few years. I don't know what happened. We visit often. Maybe we should stay away for a while and let them miss us. lol!

That CM was wrong. You just call the normal 1(407)W-DISNEY.

Based on the new PINs going out, it seems you'll need to arrive by 11/23 in order to get FD during Thanksgiving.

PIN FD Dates are:

For arrivals most nights 8/25–10/2/13,
10/18–10/31/13, 11/11–11/23/13,
11/30–12/4/13 and 12/15–12/22/13.

Typically, public offers mimic these later on...

Pretty sure it won't be before July at the very earliest, but I would love to be wrong.

Ugh! Disney has sent me an email EVERY day this week with the "fake" offer sx6. I say fake because when I run my dates and resort with if, I get the same price!

I booked my vacation myself (I just became a travel agent!) so I don't think disney realizes I've booked yet. Hopefully that means they'll send me a pin code when they realize I won't bite on their dud offer.
