I used to have touringplans, but let it expire b/c I wasn't planning a trip for 2012. Then we end up planning not one but 2 trips!! I'm waiting until the new Unofficial Guide comes out this month and then I'll buy it and use the discount they give to join touringplans. I also love having the breakdown for each park. We are there on Dec 1 when the taping of the parade takes place and the overall CL is a 7, but I know when I look at the different parks for that day, there will be some great CLs in other parks. Definitely worth it to me!;)

Epcot is only 3.4 that day!

The numbers are based from 1-10, 10 being the most crowded. The first number she posted is for MK, the second for Epcot, third is DHS,and fourth is AK. If it says best next to it. That is the best park recommended for that day, and the one with worst is the worst park for that day.

We loved WL! It was our first stay at a Deluxe. The transportation was not bad at all. We took the boat of course to MK and sometimes we took the boat to catch the monorail to Epcot, but usually just took the buses. We found the buses to run quite regularly with no unusual waits. The distance to, say, DTD was a bit longer than we were used to, but it wasn't a problem. We took afternoon breaks every day with no problem.

As for Christmas decorations...just WOW! The tree in the main lobby is spectacular. There is a huge fireplace with lots of seating around it which is pretty neat. There is also a quieter more remote fireplace upstairs to the left as you face WCC. It was empty of people when we were there and very cozy.

Smileybug is the WL expert here. She could probably tell you a lot better than I about the transportation. Okay, so now I officially want to go back to WL!!:rotfl:

Oh man that sounds lovely! :goodvibesNow you have me doubting my Poly choice for this trip!:rotfl: No, we'll keep Poly for this year, WL for next year, it's way less $$ than Contemporary and I think I like the theming much better and I read in the unofficial guidebook last night that it is THE favorite resort for children, my DD will be 5 on our 2014 trip, so that sounds perfect!! Here's hoping for a great bounceback offer for ALL of us!!:cheer2:

We are there similar dates.. 4th -12th...Touring is as follows
4th 4 overall..best HS 3.8 avoid MK 5.6
5th 4 overall best Epcot 3.1 and AK 1.6 avoid MK 4.9
6th 3 overall best AK 1.3 avoid E 4.6 (HS is 1.9)
7th 4 overall best AK 1.6 avoid E 7.2
8th 4 overall best HS 2.4 avoid MK 5.6 (AK is 2.6)
9th 6 overall Best MK 1.8 Avoid E 9.3 (HS 4.4)
10th 9 overall Best AK 6.0 avoid MK 9.5

thank you very much. what is the highest number? clearly i should have looked at that before i picked days lol

The 30th is a 4 overall. Epcot is a 6.6 and AK is a 3.3.
The 3rd is a 2 overall. Epcot is a 1.2 and AK is a 5.3.

This will be my first trip having touringplans. I always thought it was crazy to spend $10 for info I could get for free. Now that I know it gives you the crowd level for each park and allows you to customize your touring plan...well...I think I'm in love!

Thank you VLEETH for looking at my 2 dates! I've made the switch with the ADRs and will be going with the lowest CL on those days. I'm really interested in seeing how this works and if it's correct. I might be a yearly subscriber after November. My DH wants to know how it could possibly work if we all are reading the same CL and adjusting our plans, won't that ultimately make it a busy park day, haha! I told him only a small percentage actually plans according to CL days!

Thank you so much I appreciate it. What is the very first number after each day of the week? I'm counting 5 numbers.

Princess - we go the same week every year since our honeymoon in '04 and it was SO quiet the first few. Two years ago it was very crowded. Definitely the longest lines I have seen since in years. Just like the other poster wrote - if everyone rearranges their schedules based on what everyone else says ultimately it will be crowded!!! Lol

well I did what best fits our schedule. I didnt go with what TP or easywdw says.... it worked out that way FOR US.... as far as anyone else re-arranging, I would worry even a 10 at this time of the year is like 6 during the summer!

are the crouds usually that bad in november? i thought it was a slow time of year.

Crowds for the end of your trip are high for several reasons...Three Day Weekend due to Veterens Day on Monday the 12th, The last weekend of Food and Wine, Epcot's also has a half marathon Saturday Night the 10th that starts at 10pm, lastly some will attribute higher crowds due to "Jersey Week". Much debate on whether or not that actually adds to crowd levels significantly. Jersey Week is named such due to schools being out for most of those days that week in NJ and a State Teachers conference that is held at DW. Therefore many choose to go to DW then.

Awesome!! For as many of us as there are on here, not many share my dates, much less my resort!

Same here. We go the same week every time cause it's our anniversary week. It was funny cause my DH was given a book the year we got married giving all the best Disney tips and it said the weeks we were going were the slowest time. It was but it definitely got so much more crowded over the years. Once everyone sees that of course it will be a week of interest! Let's just hope we get a nice quiet couple of weeks!! Have fun!!!

So I've done some math and if I did it right, we can save $212 by using the Military Salute ticket & resort discounts. Problem is we also lose 1 park day, BUT we gain hoppers.

Option 1) Stick with FD upgraded to regular dining, 2 rooms @ POP, 5day park tickets

Option 2) Take Military discounts of 30% off Value resort & 4day hoppers, 2 rooms at POP, pay full price for dining plan ($212 cheaper than Option 1)

What would YOU do!?

Option one---Due to FD...With option 2 I imagine that the $212 you save on booking will quickly evaporate once you go out of pocket for food.

You're welcome! There are thousands of people that go every day that don't even know what a touring plan or a crowd calender is!

I'm thinking she meant that it would still be $212 cheaper after she bought the dining plan. But I would still vote for Option One, unless you're really dedicated to park hopping? Otherwise I would say that for $200 an extra day is still an extra day and what could be better than that?:goodvibes

There are thousands of people who go there every day and don't even know where they are going!:lmao: I've never been there but I am AMAZED at the stuff people tell me about their trips, all I can think is "Didn't you read a book or look at a website before you went?" I always research every destination I travel to, I'm just so excited that I finally found a destination that has the wealth of information out there that WDW does!!!:goodvibes

:upsidedow and you will still not know or see it all......we have been there 2x now and probably have missed 3/4 of the rides and attractions JUST in the parks!
