I have a few ideas right now. So far the plan is to tell them we are dropping H off at the airport (which we have done in the past) and to have their bags packed in the back of our van. I want to decorate the trunk and have them open it to "help daddy get his bags." When the trunk opens they will see balloons, their brand new Disney Princess carry-ons and a sign that says "You're going to Disney World!"

My only fear is that my middle daughter, who is 3, will need some prep time before we get on the plane. We are meeting family in WDW, so the back-up plan is to tell them we are flying to meet family -- whcih isn't a lie-- and they will realize where we are when we get there.

I like plan #1 much better, and H thinks our daughter will be too excited to care about flying... we'll see! I plan to video the surprise so I'll show it off when we get back :goodvibes

I LOVE that first plan!!! They will be soooo excited! A lot of young children don't even understand what flying is. They board the plane and it's just like getting in any vehicle to them. The problem usually comes in when they can't get up and walk around at will. But I'm sure you've already planned lots of fun new activities to keep them occupied, so I think your H is right, she'll be fine. But you've gotten lots of good advise from other posters, so I think you'll figure out what's best. What fun!!!!:dance3:

Carridge rides are still listed on the Ft. Wilderness Camp Ground page. This is the one I was hoping for. My sister and her husband are doing the one around the POR area. I guess I should go ahead and get this all locked down.

Yes, I think they still do it, just not all tricked out like a sleigh. It's still fun I'm sure!:goodvibes

We don't know... she's never flown & I feel like leaving for our first family vacation to the happiest place on Earth is a perfect time for her to have a MAJOR meltdown over flying.

I could be totally wrong -- and H thinks she will love it -- but my biggest fear is having her and the baby ruin the flight for everyone on board. :headache:

Don't worry about the other folks on the plane. I've had my flight ruined by ADULTS before. There's just no telling. For the most part, people realize you cannot help if your baby cries or your little one is upset. Chances are, they'll be sympathizing, remembering their own child meltdown scenes! :rotfl:

ETA: We took our 5 year old DGD on a plane in April. She had been on one when she was almost 3, but didn't have any memory of it. She was fine at both ages.

I see you are staying at the AKL? Maybe do a tour or the wild Africa Trek! ALl of that sounds amazing! Whats his fav park or fav activity? Maybe book something off of that! Everyone does a nice meal...I say be different! Do a tour! I so wanted to do the WAT while we were there...but it didnt fit in our schedule.

My husband would really love the WAT. I don't know if we can fit it I though. Will have to do more research. Thanks for the suggestion.

DH and I are eating an early supper at CRT and then going into the MVMCP on our anniversary. I'm also trying to fit a carriage ride in somewhere during the week. :goodvibes

Great ideas! Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2

I was going to suggest a carriage ride and/or a tour. We did Keys to the Kingdom tour and it was great! We did the first one of the day and got to be in MK before anyone else and got some great photos. You'll be surprise at how romantic Disney can be without the little ones along. Enjoy!:dance3:

We did the MVMCP for our 25th a couple of years ago. They used to have a "sleigh ride" at Camp Wilderness, but I heard recently that they discontinued that. Now I wish we had gone in 2010 when we had the chance!:sad2:

I am really looking forward to the alone time. The last time we went to Disney alone was our honeymoon and we have never gone on a vacation without the kids. It should be interesting.

We just came back from a flight full of kids (mine included). Most of the kids were really good. A little crying by a baby, but everything was fine. The flight isn't too long from NJ so I wouldn't worry too much. Bring little snacks. The kids all seemed to want to eat (a lot).

Still toying with the idea of getting the Rapunzel wedding dress for dd for our next trip. The review say that the amount of glitter that comes off of this thing is crazy. Any ideas what to do with the thing when she decides she wants to take it off. We'll have our stroller, but do I bring a hanger or try to roll it and put it in a bag in the basket? I want to use it again on our cruise.

I wil have 3! I think I am going to pring those ziploc bas(the XL ones) and try that... I wonder what other ppl do? Maybe Ill ask on Fb. cuz that is a good question!

I keep picturing all of us at a slumber party. :lmao::rotfl::lmao:

Funny you say that...my dd had a sleepover and the moms slept over too. The kids went to bed around 11:00, the moms stayed up until 4:00 talking about Disney. It was great!

Yep 3 sounds way more complicated than 1! ;)

Sad thing is...I've done this before...I just don't remember. I'll ask my dh and see if he remembers.:rotfl:

I woud think the best thing would to be gently roll it and put it in a bag. But I would then be nervous about leaving it in your stroller when you are doing rides/shoes. If you do this just make sure you hang it up when you are back in the room. :thumbsup2

I asked and someone suggested big ziploc bags like the 2 gallon ones....fold really small and push the air out...they said they will puff back up if you give them a shake! Im gonna have to try that. I also buy ziploc bags for the girls outfits, so we know what goes with what at 6am LOL

the funny thing is my mom doesnt do many rides so I think I will put her in charge of the dresses til BBB then DD's will want to wear them so no point in making mom watch clothes LOL

for some reason your PTR is being wonky so I cant post in it...but if you look up how to make a trasure map look old, it will tell you how to burn it and use tea bags for the 100yo effect:goodvibes

and if you look online like Oct 10ish they start having Halloween sales at the Disney store. I got all sorts of dresses 2yrs ago for $15!

Okay...off to google that!

Are you talking at the Disney Store or online?

Our flight leaves Philadelphia @ 7a, so we'll get to the airport around 5:45a -- eeeeek! I will have to find some snaks that are total junk food...

That sounds like so much fun. I bet the girls thought ya'll were the crazy ones.
