This will be the first trip to Disney for my daughter and I and we are so excited! :cool1: We'll be there November 23-28th at Pop Century. I'm a little stressed thinking of all the planning I need to do. I don't want to go without a plan and wondered what the best site is that can help plan an itinerary. Thanks for the help!

We LOVE :lovestruc www.ridemax.com. You can create your own customized touring plans. I've heard that touring plans will let you do that now, too, but I *know* Ridemax works :thumbsup2!! We don't go to the World without it!!
what is the first thing everyone wants to do when they arrive in the world??
We're planning on hanging out at the resort the first evening and the first full day. We're at CBR this time, so I know my boys are going to want to swim in that pool :thumbsup2! Then, that evening we'll be at MVMCP pixiedust:!!

We were... record cold that year; I caught the worst cold too, and we just couldn't seem to stay warm once the sun went down! I had a parka, hat, scarf, hand warmers... ugh! It was warmer at HOME! :crazy2:

We were there the Saturday after Thanksgiving to the following Saturday. And there were some VERY cold days. We had to buy me a heavier jacket. But during that same week we were also in shorts. :confused3

I hope we're not all cursed, since many of use seem to have been there in Nov/Dec 2010 when it was SO cold!!! Here's hoping for some swimming weather this time around!! --Katie

Im getting the impression that Im going to need to prepare for all kinds of weather. Im just hopeing that its not too cold for my girls to swim. They would be so unhappy.

Getting on the boat for a beautiful ride to DTD! :)

Ugh.:scared:

I suppose you have a very valid point here....:flower3:

Um, you don't sound at all like a freak to me. That's EXACTLY what I'll be doing the very next morning after evening in DTD! (and, yep, I'll have tears in my eyes when I get there as usual......:rolleyes2 I can't HELP it....:lovestruc )

You are so spot on with this....I ALWAYS have tears in my eyes when we go! It just brings me back to my first trip every time and then Sarah's first trip, then Rachel's first trip as I held them in my lap on the monorail and they saw Cinderella's Castle for the very first time!! I can't help it that I am such a sentimental person - my family always laughs at me but I don't care. I guess once I step inside Disney I too am just a kid a heart- like everyone else. This time will be no exception as its just been so long since we were last there and SO much has changed. It will be one of those ALWAYS REMEMBER trips I am sure!!! :goodvibes

During this time of year you really do need to be prepared. At least to dress in layers. Chances are that you will be able to do some swimming. I remember one morning we were walking out of our room at the WL and our mousekeeper was just outside getting ready to come in and she saw the way I was dressed (no jacket) and she highly suggested we rethink that choice. :rotfl:We had her almost all week and really enjoyed getting to know her. :thumbsup2 She was such a sweet lady.

I know there are some MA DISers on this thread. I just wanted to tell you guys that tonight in Worcester there is a Disney music concert at Institute Park. We go every year and love it. Here is more information.

I'll be there! :)

It sounds awesome!! Wish I lived a little closer I'd so be there, enjoy it :)

Anyone else up and tweeking ADRs this morning? :confused3
At this point I am just tweeking times. I'm actually amazed at what is still available. :scratchin

I have been trying for 2wks to get a better time for our Tony's dinner. Hopefully when BOG opens for ADRs I won't have to worry about it, if I can't get BOG it will probably open up ALOT of times for other restaurants. :thumbsup2

:banana::banana:Just noticed my ticker is in the 3month countdown / 119 days :banana::banana:

I agree with everyone that you will be getting to the party late. We made the mistake last year of eating at LTT too late (and they were behind and we didn't get seated until 30/40 minutes after our ressie) So we didn't hit the party until after 7. If you have to eat at one of them, I would do WCC for sure. It doesn't take all that long there and the boat ride is 5/10 minutes. That should get you there a bit before 7.

We have an ADR for LTT at 4:50 for our MVMCP night. Do you remember when your ressie was for? Do you think this is early enough? We went to MNSSHP last year and were absolutely shocked at the crowds! People had been telling us that you can walk onto any ride, meet characters with minimal waits, etc...but the opposite was the case, I've never seen crowds like that before in MK. Is it usually that busy or did we have a fluke night?:wave2:

Guess what we will all be doing in 3 weeks? :cool1:

Woo hooooo! Can't wait and I sure hope it's for real..... :cool1:

I always cry when we walk down Main Street and see the castle for the first time. :goodvibes

::yes::

Free dining ADRs..flights..everything complete...

What did Tom Petty say? "Waiting is the hardest part"???

C'mon November...

Yep, brilliant! Maybe that song should be our theme song?!:lmao:

Oh, yes, you sound like my kindred spirit! I kinda sorta start as soon as we hit Disney property.... Then when we get to POR.... Then when I see Spaceship Earth... Then the train station at MK... And the Castle....? Then I'm sobbing... My family laughs at me, too. DH, DS1 and I were there for 1 day in August 2010 as we were down at Embry-Riddle and couldn't be that close without seeing our paradise.... As soon as we got to CBR, I started crying in the lobby. DH and DS laughed, but while DH checked in, DS (19 at the time) came over and hugged me and said that he loves that I love it so much.... We just have SO many beautiful memories from there....

Oh, I wish I could go.
I have to babysit my youngest granddaughter tonight. She wouldn't sit still long enough for either her or myself to enjoy it.
Oh well, maybe another time.

Thanks for the info though.:flower3:

Stay at the hotel! Sounds boring, but my mom thinks we are just going to CSR and heading to DTD. What she doesn't know is I booked 2 nights at the beginning of our stay at her dream resort - Animal Kingdom Villas. She won't know until we get there! It's her first trip and I wanted to make it extra special! We'll arrive around noon, lunch at Sanaa, animal watching, lots of pool time and resort activities, Culinary Tour at 4pm, dinner at Boma and then campfire for marshmallows and movie by the pool! PERFECT way to kick off her first Disney vacatioN!

You can pick them up early, the phone CM's really have no clue ;) Cheshire Figment is the one in the know :thumbsup2

I sure hope so!
