Thanks for your advice everyone!! :thumbsup2 I think I'm gonna send them all a note today and lock them down to an answer by the 10th, or no go. Hopefully no one will hate my guts!

So odd that they invited themselves along and now won't answer. It's not fair to you to cause you extra stress! They won't hate you, you can't have 4 different combinations of ressies out there, you'll lose your mind.:scared1:

I gave all of my sisters a deadline and to which 2 of them responded in time for (one didn't think she could handle a trip with her kids being so young 1.5 and 3 and hyper, the other didn't want to take her DD out of school but wanted me to switch to Thanksgiving week, which I wasn't going to give up my 1.2 crowd level days at MK for;)) and the 3rd sister waited until I called her on the last day and just said that she wanted to wait until her granddaughter was old enough to go with us. It's all good, now I don't have to stress about whether or not they're going and no one's mad at anyone for any misunderstandings.

You will be fine and your vacation will be better for it!:yay:

Maybe that person only knew about MK and thought that was all there was to it.:rotfl: People do that sometimes, believe it or not.:sad2: It is hard to not try to do everything on the first trip and realize that you'll be able to come back and do more. I think everyone feels that way on their first trip...at least the planners do.;)

I was sitting there dying when I listened to her tell me about her trip. She was there with her parents once maybe 15 years ago. But I don't think she had any idea at all where she was going!:confused3

They spent their first day at MK wandering around and had an "okay time", they had free dining but made no ADR's and were shocked that they couldn't just walk in and eat at TS places. The next day they went to Epcot in the morning and by noon were "so bored that the kids and her husband were begging to leave" so they went back to ASMu and swam. Then they went to HS in the afternoon and stayed for 3 hours before her family again begged to go back to the hotel. Their 3rd day was at Legoland and they loved it b/c there were "no lines for anything". They then went on a cruise to the Bahamas and loved it because they could swim all day.

Was it rude that I told her that she should use her vacation money and just buy a pool?:upsidedow

Happy 4th Of July Everyone!!

Headed to a picnic, I'll check back in with you all tonight!!

You can note she has an allergy when you make your reservation...though you probably already know that! LOL

COuld you try for Chef Mickeys Breakfast or 'Ohana breakfast? There are alot of Ohana ressies for breakfast!
On your free day, you could have a breakfast like I suggested OR you could go to Downtown disney for the evening and to T-Rex! :thumbsup2 Your DD might like it! My girls are so excited to go!
You could also try Kona Cafe(right next to Ohanas and they have some of the same Polynesian food :thumbsup2 )
Since you want Crystal Palace, are you looking at specific times or just plugging in Dinner? Sometime looking at times helps. Maybe try for a late lunch or early lunch instead :confused3 When I look I keep getting the 3:45 time LOL

just booked ohana breakfast reservations for friday
dd decided we will do a split park that day, hs and epcot

dd is pleased only character dining she knows we are doing.

So you have park hoppers? We dont have them and I think its better that way...too complicated to switch everything

just got a chef mickey dinner for our last day there!!! she will get to go to see her chef mickey before we leave the world!!!

only one last adr to secure 11/5 bog or crystal palace for dinner :):cheer2:

I have read the seating is not so great BUT we are going with the package and doing Mama Melrose's since HBD didnt look good to me :confused3 YOu can check out the seating here http://www.stitchkingdom.com/maps/index.php?showmap=11 They all look like good seats to me!

Thank you! That's a great map to actually visualize where you'll be. Thanks to everyone who replied, I'm sure HBD will be fine I think I'm just being overly cautious, I like the old tried and true ;)

Does anyone know if you need to book ahead for the Pirate Cruise? Does it leave from POR?

8 more days till the 12th!

:woohoo:

With everyone's talk of split stays and how easy it is I decided to try it! We are now going to be at SSR Nov 9th-14th and then moving to AKV from the 14th-17th with a Savanna view. I'm very excited to try this resort, it's one of the few DVC resorts we haven't tried yet. I also ordered my MVMCP tickets for the 12th. Erin, could you please update me when you get a chance?

This is kind of funny because I have been talking to DH today about adding another day and staying at the AKL. I want to try it out as well and I think this would be a good way to do it. :thumbsup2

We aren't huge AK lovers, and often skip the park completely, but we love animals. I was going to try and switch last couple nights to WL (we stayed there in jan and loved it), but of course it was not available. In fact, the only DVC resort that was available besides SSR was AKL. But I've been looking at pics and it looks amazing. We are actually starting out our trip this year by running the 5k at AK, so it seems fitting to end there as well.
