Where are you staying? I don't think we would ever do room service...not avail at the FQ as far as I know....we love getting the beignets with coffee in the morning. yumm!! We do have a few breakfasts planned though. 1 at Kona Cafe and one at Ohana's. Both new for us.

We are staying at the WL and have used the room service in the past. I'm talking full meals. The steaks we had were wonderful. Since it is just hubby and I....its nice to be able to have a quite, romantic meal in.
If we use room service with this trip it will more than likely be breakfast. I'm having a hard time booking breakfast every morning with not knowing how tired we will be from the day before.

Awesome!! My daughter is only missing 4 days as well and 2 of those are on Thanksgiving week which I know she won't be doing anything new. Should work out great for her!

That great! :thumbsup2 Same here. We're now going 12 days and DD DS are only missing 4 days :cool1: When the calender came out the district had added a staff day/no classes to the already planned Vets day and Election day. I went a lil crazy on what started out as a short 5 day trip :rotfl2: :lmao:

Now my family is different...we look forward to ADR's, we already know we are eating at a place so no standng in line, we like knowing there is a break coming so we have time to regroup and rethink what we are doing next. We lie haveing a sit down dinner each night and disney dining is fabulous! Its not normal theme park food!:cloud9:

And I feel like I need to make a really BIG confession but we (me, my mom & DD3.5) eat dinner out every night. My mom & I started doing it when my daddy passed away 5 years ago and then Lila (DD) came along and we kept saying, once she's older we'll have to start eating at home but she really just grew up in a restaurant. We go to the same local places and they do tons of special orders just for her and she's eating fresh salads all the time so it's not like she's living on fast food but she is really really really used to table service.:rotfl:

Yeah another Diser same time same place :cool1: I requested Tokelau ground level :rolleyes1 Did you request?

Tahiti 3rd floor, TPV. I know we won't be very close to the GCH that way but we wanted to be close to TT&C. Who knows, I keep going back & forth between this and Club level but I don't think we'll be around enough, what with all of our ADR's to enjoy grazing in the lounge.:rotfl:

We have 24 credits as well and I am at 18 I think. But we will probably have a few room service breakfast which will take care of what is left. :goodvibes

We have 33 credits and we're at 22, planning on 2 room services so that will leave us with 7 left which is exactly how many CS meals we will need to fill in our blanks (or pixie dust wishing :wizard:BOG opens!!)

Ditto. Looks like fun! :cool1:

We're scheduled as follows:
Thursday, 11/1 - arrival
Friday, 11/2 - MK, MNSSHP
Saturday, 11/3 - AK, DTD
Sunday, 11/4 - Legoland
Monday, 11/5 - Epcot :cake:
Tuesday, 11/6 - Typhoon Lagoon
Wednesday, 11/7 - HS
Thursday, 11/8 - Universal? (still on the fence)
Friday, 11/9 - MK, MVMCP
Saturday, 11/10 - departure :sad1:

We're doing HS on the 7th as well!!

Have you thought about checking out Touring Plans? I know it costs a bit, I think it's like $10/year, but the plans are fantastic! Lots of variations for big kids, small kids, etc. They keep it up for new openings . Highly recommend the site, for the crowd calendar and blog too. :thumbsup2

If you buy the current book, you just have to answer a few questions from the book on their website and then the subscription to the site is free. Good deal if you were planning on buying the book anyway...

Bah... Now for the bad news...

There are no AoA LM rooms left for our potentially added night. :sad1:
I called to add it, and the CM searched and searched, but nada.
Switching to a suite would add $2,000, she pointed out... :scared1:
The next option is doing a split stay, of course, but I don't really want to switch resorts just for our last night. (Has anyone done the math on the least costly way to split a 10-night stay over two resorts?) And that leaves me checking every day or so for a cancelation.

And, of course, while I was on the phone with a CM, I asked if maybe we had a FD pin. She apologized very prettily, but still a no-go... Well, at least I now have a good excuse to call them regularly. :lmao:

Oh I'm sorry! :sad1:I haven't done the math but to me the easiest sounding thing to me would be to split it right in half? Maybe? I heard that the resorts move your bags for you when you do split stay. I wouldn't want to do it for just one night on the end but it doesn't sound bad for more than a couple nights.:rotfl:

Do you have any ADR's for that day? We have breakfast at Hollywood & Vine at 8am and lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe at 140pm.

I'm glad you mentioned it! We had H&V at 9:10, Mama Melrose for lunch, Brown Derby for dinner... But I think 9:10 was the earliest available when I did ADRs, and now there's an 8:05! I had hoped to get into the park before rope-drop, so that's great. Already switched over! :woohoo:

The added complication here is that if I get a FD pin or if the GP offer mirrors the current PIN, there's a blackout on check-in dates between 11/2 and 11/8. So if we split it, it really has to be on 11/9, for two days, and there's a 3-day minimum for DDP anyway. Grr...

So either I add a single night at another resort with dining OOP, or I hope one LM room opens up that night. Or, we stick with what we had and miss Osborne Family Lights after all... :confused3

Yay!!:cheer2:Now we will definitely get to see each other! We'll have to figure out a way to "recognize" each other. So cool!:cool1:

So if you split it, and get the FD, add a night (that's still a savings right?) and a split stay for 3 days on the end has to be better than just one, right?

I know Osborne Family Lights won't be going on the day we're doing HS but I was thinking of one of my other "slower" days just heading over to HS to see the lights, they look like they're worth it.:rotfl:

Boy this is a tough one. Maybe you should give yourself a little more time with trying to get the LM room. But I would stalk Disney on this. With both checking the site and calling mulitple times a day. :thumbsup2 I really, really hope this works for you. :goodvibes

I'm hearing they won't start until 11/9, which is MVMCP for us. We had no choice to leave on 11/10 before, but now we can leave 11/11 and go to HS again on 11/10. That is, assuming we can get a room...

Thanks for the positive thoughts on that, everyone... I think stalking wil be my plan for now. I do also have a friend who lives in the area, but I hate to even think of asking to inconvenience her for a night. That may be a backup plan, though...
