As far as atmosphere goes I wouldn't give up Coral Reef or GG for Cape May. But that is just me. :goodvibes I have never eaten at Coral Reef or Garden Grill so I can't compare the food at Cape May to them. But we enjoyed Cape May. :thumbsup2

We ARE giving up the HDDR (as of now) and spending our arrival evening at the Boardwalk eating at Cape May Cafe! :goodvibes :cool1:

Let's talk MK. We are spending one day at each of the "other" parks but are planning 3 days at MK. How should I divy up the days? I want to cover as much as possible. :-) We are doing QS dining so I don't have any ressies to work around but food suggestions are appreciated. :-)

I COULD fit both in! If I give up HDDR which now that you put it THAT way I may just do both :goodvibes We could do WCC our first night(take the boat) and do Cape May on our last night and still be able to keep CM on our last day for breakfast! :thumbsup2 Thanks Smileybug! :woohoo:

We really liked Cape May. Breakfast was great, and my only regret about dinner was that I wasn't feeling well and had a big lunch, so I hardly ate anything but a few of the wonderful mini-desserts. On another night, though, I would have loved it.

Yu all can stay here! I like having the company. Just be prepared for me changing my mind 600 times :lmao: Actually I will *try* not too! I really think everyone does...they just dontpost it as much as I do :rotfl2:

You're probably right! I called and booked our package and called back the very next day to change the dates. :rotfl: In my own defense though I asked for those dates to start with but no rooms were available at the AoA. :cool1:

Also, we are planning this as a surprise trip for our kids but I want to tell them so bad it's killing me! I can see my hubby is getting weak already too...he provided wayyyy too much commentary on the Disney commercial this morning while we were watching TV with the kids!!!:happytv:

MK? Hmmm we have arrival day, MVMCP, a Thursday and our departured day from 9am-430 so I count that as another day :thumbsup2 We do whatever we feel like. Usually we start in Tommorrowland and work around. That will work great except for Thursday which is a EMH morning so we will start off in Fantasyland :goodvibes I cant wait! I would say since you have so many, maybe spend the first 2 days doing a little of everything and the third re-do 'favorites':confused3

Hes gonna crack!!!!! I give him another month! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Just found the DIS iPhone App! AWESOMENESS :cool1:

I *THINK* I'm finally settled on my park days/ADRs - I think..... Still reconsidering Boma breakfast (since we have dinner scheduled too and Tusker b-fast and I'm scared they are TOO similar...). Other than that I think I'm set. I'll be in the minority - I booted Le Cellier after I scored the coveted reservation! I've tried for 4 trips to get one and I finally did and changed my mind

We started our countdown chain today!! 150 links were put up yesterday and DD pulled the 1st one off this morning!! She's sooo excited we finally got it put up! (Ignore my killer-messy dining room... It's become Disney craft headquarters!).

Love the chain! It will be so fun to watch the days disappear! Love the walls of your house too!:goodvibes

Looks great! I only have a calendar! My daycare kids would rip a chain down:lmao:

I can picture that perfectly!:rotfl:

Just had to check in from the mobile app. I like the way it's organized, and now I can get my Disney fix while I wait for stuff. Right now I'm waiting for Magic Mike. :)

Ohhh, I want to see that movie! Maybe a matinee tomorrow. Hope you like it.

So true!:lmao::lmao:

I think listing your "must do" attractions and getting them done the first two trips and then revisiting the favorites on the third day is a good plan of attack. As for QS dining, try Columbia Harbour House and go upstairs where it's a little quieter. Gives everyone a chance to relax a bit and get away from sensory overload. :thumbsup2

I called today to see if anything opened up for AoA for my dates and to check on a pin, but no pixie dust for me yet. I'll keep trying, though, never fear. I still have plenty of time.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. :yay:

I've seen several people planning split stays. What's the reasoning? Just to visit more than one resort? Isn't it a hassle to move between several resorts? I'm a first timer so excuse the lack of Disney knowledge.popcorn::

My split stay came about innocently enough... I had a ten day reservation at the Dolphin over Thanksgiving week. Then I received a PIN code for the week after the holiday, so I shortened my Dolphin stay to cover the "Holiday Rate" days, and added a stay at a Disney resort beginning on the first day of the PIN discount after the holiday.

Then I figured out that the cost of the Dolphin + airport transportation = 1 night at Animal Kingdom Lodge. But one night isn't quite enough, so then I made it two nights.

So my first split stay will be a 3-way split! Disney transfers the bags from resort to resort (and Dolphin participates in that, too.) I'm going to pack a small bag for the first stay, and I'm going to be using packing cubes to help with the unpacking and repacking.

I'm excited to stay in three resorts that are new to us, and I'm looking forward to being able to plan my park days to capitalize on the transportation advantages of each resort.

You'll LOVE the Boardwalk area. It's so beautiful and fun! What night of the week will you be there? Check Steve Soares' site to see if the Buskers will be performing that night!

You can also watch the outdoor movie at the Beach Club. It's so beautiful watching the Friendship Boats sail back and forth while you watch the movie, and the lights of the Boardwalk from across the lake are gorgeous!

Well, looks like we'll be choosing another resort.... We are upgrading to DxDDP, so we have to get FD to take care of the cost... I had another DISer price us out a package with her FD PIN she isn't using and LM rooms are booked for our dates w/ FD.... PoP is the plan unless a miracle happens and we can swing a mod.

Vera Bradley question -
I know there are some Vera Bradley lovers on this thread & I know nothing about it, so I thought I'd ask my question....

I am putting together an auction basket for our local library. What do you think of a tote, key ring, note pads, wallet, wristlet, binder clips and a few other little things in the Folkloric pattern? Would you bid on it?

Thanks!

Did you check on a mod's price? I know you didnt want to do POR til you were with DH but maybe another on? Or a Royal Guest Room?

Whoever recommended the Nike Celos flips.... I  them! I recieved them yesterday and wouldnt trade them for the world!:cloud9:

I was thinking of asking her to price out CBR for me.... If it's what I'm coming up with on my own calculations, it's only $100 cheaper to stay at a mod w/ FD upgraded to DxDDP than to just stay at AoA in a LM room and pay full price for DxDDP... There are only waterview and pirate rooms at CBR, all standards are sold out for our dates. And now if I search for my dates at AoA - there are ZERO rooms (not just FD, but no LM rooms at all...) so I'm wondering if it'll be SUPER packed. Hmm... I-

HMMMM It might just be because its new :confused3 I have always wanted to stay at the Pirate room :thumbsup2 I would go for that in a heartbeat!

Pirates scare DD, her entire MK day was ruined because of us riding POTC first thing in the morning.... So no Pirate room for us! I'm considering a waterview room perhaps - just need to see the budget first... I'd prefer CBR to POP just because of the gorgeous grounds, awesome kids pool area, jacuzzi, waterslide, ect.. and I know my mom would.. I do like POP though... Ugg.. Decisions decisions decisions....

My DD3.5 is a pirate hater too. So funny although she seems to have a soft spot for Disney Juniors Jake show. She told me today, "They're not like real pirates, they're like nice pirates" Great!:rotfl:

Good luck in your decision, I think I would go moderate as well, if you can make it work.

Oh she's a HUGE Jake lover (we had breakfast w/ Jake at H&V last year and planning it this year too!) but forget "real" pirates. Poor kid sobbed through POTC....
