Hey! I remember you!:thumbsup2 You wrote that great deluxe dining review where I have been getting some reviews from. I think what 17 days of deluxe you had? Yes that was a great review and I bet you were full! So glad you could join us! :welcome:

I say go for the CLP! Since you are skipping the MVMCP

Yep...that's me! Glad I could be useful! I am still working on it...I think I'm on day 9...from 10 months ago...real life gets way too in the way of my DISing but on the bright side, it's something to tide me over till I get closer to the next trip!

so I got a little bit of pixie dust today..... a few weeks ago, I mailed a lady some mickey heads that I had from Home Depot and I had all colors but no LGMH. She thanked me and I told her to have fun on her trip. I went to get the mail today and there was a whole envie FULL of LGMH!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: That was so nice of her!

Wow that was really nice of her!

So I wonder what the chances are of us snagging an ADR at BOG for Thanksgiving- dinner?? My daughter whose college graduation we are celebrating desperately wants to go for that day. I hope I can surprise her with this. Yeah among thousands of other people wanting the same thing....oh well maybe we'll get lucky and have the disney faires sprinkle some pixie dust for us. Can u imagine how difficult its going to be to get through when they open up ressies for this venue??

I am crossing my fingers that they do the sensible thing and open it up online too! The disappointment of not getting what I want has NOTHING on wasting an hour on hold waiting to be told so. :thumbsup2

Yes, I couldn't agree more! There has to be an eaiser way to handle ALL the influx of calls and demands that they already know, this restaurant will bring.

That is soooo cool!!:woohoo: Do you wear yours to WDW? Have you met many people that way? I'm thinking of doing it but I was just curious as to what kind of response you have received?:)

We have actually started to look at the Disney cruise to Alaska. But, I can't imagine skipping Disney. I guess we just haven't grown up enough to really want other vacation destinations. But I am starting to gather information on it. So maybe thats a sign of maturing. :rotfl2:

Oh, and one more thing..............................................DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID in this thread. It makes you do things. Like add a day to your vacation and feel the need to cruise. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I already added a day to the befinning and end of our trip. :lmao:

I have a passporters book, and I find it to be really helpful. I do not go by it word for word, but it does help to sort the order for the parks. You may want to get a copy. Sometimes I read it to help me get to my happy place. :rotfl2:

I also have a PassPorter book and LOVE it. It has a breakdown of planning, flights, resorts, parks, restaurants, special tours, and has wonderful maps. It also gives you alot of Disney transportation information that I found very helpful. You can go to their site to order a book OR pick it up at your local bookstore. :thumbsup2

I think we're going to end up having to switch our dates from 11/25-12/9 to 11/27-12/11. Flights Thanksgiving weekend, even though we're leaving after the holiday, are horrible. Almost twice as much. I don't know what I expected. D'oh.

EXWDWCM

Thanks so much! That's very helpful! I had zero idea where to start! I'm so excited, I'm seriously about to cry!
So glad, feel free to ask anytime. There are some great plans online and I sort of look at those and base it on our experiences too!

Do ya'll think there will be another announcement when BOG starts taking ADRs in august? Or will they just quitely open up the ADR line? Be sneaky about it.
It says they will let us know......so let's hope so. In the past they've just snuck up on us and opened them up. :goodvibes hopefully not this time. Letting us know when ADRs will open, even if just telling us August is more than they've done before.

But... what is earliest the check in you have been granted. Does everyone go by 3:00? Or is their and inside secret I can be made aware of?

Thanks guys!!
I've lucked out with like a 9am once, but also had the other extreme where it was almost 3:30-4pm before our room was ready. and of course it was the day we took a 6am flight and had been up since 3am. We were dying to get in our room and rest. :rotfl:

There is no possible way to keep up with this thread....and I am home all day. I just have to give up and browse occasionally.
It is nearly impossible! I check all day at work. I work a full time job and do the TA thing on the side, luckily my 9-5 job does allow me to get on here every now and then! :thumbsup2

FB requests.... are you guys friend requesting me? and if you are, if I know your real name, I can add you. I never can link screen names to real ones :rolleyes1
I am the ADMIN for the FB page, so if you just put in a request on the page, I will add you. You don't even have to friend anyone. :goodvibes It notifies us on the page and I can add you. I know I added 2 today. Sorry if it takes a day or so.

Remember if you want to be added to facebook groups to send PMs...it really adds too many posts on this to have everyone asking for it here....and many of us can't keep up as it is.;)

Has anyone done any tours ....like keys to the Kingdom. I'm debating it, but I don't know if i can work it in and if I can...do I really want to spend that much money. I have a possible other trip this fall....I think it will depend on if I do that one or not.
I'm not touching my ADRs for now. If BOG opens for our trip...that will be added if possible. Even if I have to pay out of pocket.
Hi Jen- we did it in 2009 and loved it. Even as an ex-CM, there was stuff I learned that I didn't know. I had already been in the utilidors as a CM, but it is always fun to go back down and really exciting if you've never been down there. It was a lot of walking, but we sat for a while too for a long portion of some of the history- sort of over by the Dole Whip stand, near where the Tink meet and greet is now. We also rode Pirates and I think one other ride (HM??). Mom was in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating.

Awesome! I really want to do it...but several things need to work out..or I guess no work out for me to do it. if I go on a fall trip, it will depend on how much is spent.
Do they do them every day?

I'm happy now that I have a bit more down time worked in and I moved MK to the day that we're going to MVMCP so that will take a bit away from the rush of that day. I have 2 open spots for BOG for Dinner and I think I would even get rid of Kona or Flying Fish if I need to for BOG. And I have 2 nights that would work for the dessert party in MK when those ADR's open up.

So am I missing something? Is there anything in there that jumps out as un-doable? Anything? :confused3

The only thing I see is that your CRT ressie is during MVMCP. Could you switch that one to lunch or even just make the dinner a little earlier? That way, you won't have to miss out on valuable party time :banana:.

Yea I am mommyof3girls21040 on there...just joined! Its so addicting already but I see lots of great info from tipping, to what to pack....things I didnt even know! I need to figure out this tipping thing :rolleyes1 its different on cruises

Watch out: CC is just as addicting as the DIS. Are you guys going to Belize, also?? We cave tubed there, and it was AWESOME. We used: http://cavetubing.bz/tours/cruise. I highly recommend them-- it was the best price I could find, and they were GREAT!!

Can you add us in here...

AoA from November 10 - November 25, 2012 with free quick service dining (we usually upgrade to DxDDP but we're trying to go cheaply this time) for four...two adults, a 13 year old (will be almost 14), and an 8 year old...with 10 day hoppers that we might be upgrading to annual passes for me and the kids (dad is leaving on the 18th)...we will be hitting that last weekend of Food & Wine which will be our first time experiencing that...

I think we're skipping MVMCP this year and I am on the fence about Candlelight Processional...I want to and I don't want to...in all the times we have gone, we have never done it!

Anyway...135 more days!!!!

:banana::banana::woohoo::banana::banana::banana:
Wow, I thought our trip was long (from 11/14-1/26!!), but you've got us beat :thumbsup2! Have a great trip! --Katie

Can't believe I am just seeing this thread! We are 4 people, myself, my brother and his twins who will be celebrating their 6th birthday while we are there! Staying at AOA, Nemo Suite, Nov. 10-17. First trip for the 3 of them, so I am the official tour guide. Can't wait! Plan so far:

Nov. 10-Arrive, play at the resort, bus to DTD for dinner at T-Rex. Home for early bedtime.

Nov. 11- HS, with dinner at Sci-Fi

Nov. 12- MK, with a monorail ride for dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

Nov. 13- Blizzard Beach- then to MK just for dinner at Liberty Tree, and MSEP and Wishes (they don't have them on our MK day.

Nov. 14- Epcot- dinner at Coral Reef. Doubt the kids will make Illuminations. Maybe next trip.

Nov. 15- AK, with breakfast at Donald's Safari, and an early dinner at BOMA

Nov. 16- Repeat whatever park the kids want to. Then, 4:00 Hoop-Dee-Do for our final evening.

Nov. 17. Magical Express pickup at 9:00 AM.

Does anyone see anything glaringly wrong with these plans?? It always helps to have fresh eyes! Thanks! :thumbsup2

Any club level vets over here?

I need help making a quick decision: Poly Lagoon View Club level versus Poly Garden View. Is it worth $1,000 more? I've been wanting to upgrade to Club Level and have been stalking CRO for availability. I was hoping for GV CL, but there is ONE club level room available under my code and it's lagoon view.

I hate wishing time away as well. But hubby and I really need to get away. :upsidedow

It is so hard not to be going anywhere when EVERYONE else is headed to the beach! So November can't come soon enough, but then I'll be SOOO sad when it's over....

Sounds awesome!! The Dream is a great ship I am on cruise critic too!! I am addicted to that thread in more ways than one! My daughter just graduated with degree in Marine Biology and that is her dream job to work with marine mammals and dolphins! She did the sea trainer for a day at Seaworld and has done research down in the Florida Keys and Dry Torguga's -she has also swam with the dolphins each cruise we've taken. Of all the places- Cozumel was the best!! You will absolutely love it and I can't wait to hear all about your trip!!

Still hoping for a ressie at Le Cellier but for now we bookedd 1900 Park Fare for dinner our first night- 11/14/12. My daughter loves that place and dinner menu really did look good. THis will be a great start to our trip I think. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Congratulations to your DD! MY DD wants to be a Marine Biologist! And she ADORES dolphins, so that's a huge reason that she wants to do it.:)

I love those. I have a Disney Sketch one and love it. They don't seem to have the exact style on there right now, but I *think* it's a Medium Tote. I love it but it's been set to the side right now because of my new Vera Bradley.

Morning!

We are arriving on Nov. 10th and leaving on Nov. 17th. My DD will be turning 5 on the 14th and we have secured a early morning BBB reservation and a CRT reservation for breakfast for her as well on that morning :cool1: This is her first trip although both myself and my DH have been there a few times before. Staying at the AKL and attending MVMCP on the 15th I believe it is, super excited and cannot wait to get there and get started on everything. Have made ADR's for most of the days leaving her Bday dinner up to her and the day we get there empty as well but I think most other stuff is secured and ready to go!

Sounds like a perfect plan! And very much how we spent my DD's 7th birthday, though we had lunch at CRT instead of breakfast.:goodvibes And now she'll be THIRTEEN on this trip.....:sad1:

Do you already have the LGMH paint chips? I think they have been pulled from the stores.

I still can't get over that they don't have MH paint chips anymore. I was going to make a really LOOONG countdown chain of them, and they were GONE! I had just told a coworker about doing that a week or so before her first trip in April. Went to get mine a couple weeks later and :confused3

Let's hope they do give us an exact date! I'm not good with vague answers, they make me what to scream! And now I am officially wishing my summer away!

Welcome to the Wishing Our Summer Away Group!;)

I saw in the "what shoe to wear at Disney thread" that alot of people like Crocs flip flops and they have them on sale right now at the crocs website for $14.99 with free shipping. I got a pair of the aqua colored ones to save until close to my Disney trip. They are the Crocband flip flops regular 27.99. You use coupon code CBFLIP to make it 14.99 and then SHIPCROCS for free shipping.

Oh, THANKS for the info! I wonder if any of the Athens flip flops are on sale? I'll have to peruse the selection.:thumbsup2

But... what is earliest the check in you have been granted. Does everyone go by 3:00? Or is their and inside secret I can be made aware of?

We drive from the Atlanta area and always arrive before 1pm and our room has always been ready. (hope I didn't just jinx it for this trip!:rotfl: )

Can you add us in here...

Hey I know you! I LOVE your dining reviews! What a wonderful, long trip you have planned! I think you should do the CLP! We are doing both it and MVMCP for the first time. :goodvibes

There is no possible way to keep up with this thread....and I am home all day. I just have to give up and browse occasionally.

I can't get on at all at work and sometimes there's just TOO many posts to do anything but read them! popcorn::

Thanks everyone! You make me feel :lovestruc:

Well, you take GREAT care of us and we appreciate it so much!

This thread moves too fast!
I know I'm on the roll call already but our official times are Nov. 5th through Nov. 14th.
We are hopefully going to have a crew of 25, but that may change based on if two of the families lose their houses in the Waldo Canyon fire here in Colorado...
My wife and I are both very excited. Its been too long since last November... Lol We can't wait to celebrate our 2nd Disney wedding anniversary back at Disney. Planning on a nice dinner then having a drink or two and desert at Narcoossees, which is where we had or reception.
I hope planning is going well for everyone, and we all get a nice discount and every dining reservation we want.

Oh, I pray those families do NOT lose their homes. It is just heartbreaking seeing the news lately. :guilty:Seeing that story right now on the news. So sad.:sad1:

Remember if you want to be added to facebook groups to send PMs...it really adds too many posts on this to have everyone asking for it here....and many of us can't keep up as it is.;)

Has anyone done any tours ....like keys to the Kingdom. I'm debating it, but I don't know if i can work it in and if I can...do I really want to spend that much money. I have a possible other trip this fall....I think it will depend on if I do that one or not.
I'm not touching my ADRs for now. If BOG opens for our trip...that will be added if possible. Even if I have to pay out of pocket.

Have never done any tours. We were thinking of doing the steam trains one this time, but between MVMCP and CLP and hopefully the Dessert Party, I think that's all the extras we can do this time.... Also, not sure i could get my crew up early enough to be at MK before 7am. They already think I'm mean waking them at that time while on vacation! :rotfl: Can't wait for BOG either!

so I got a little bit of pixie dust today..... a few weeks ago, I mailed a lady some mickey heads that I had from Home Depot and I had all colors but no LGMH. She thanked me and I told her to have fun on her trip. I went to get the mail today and there was a whole envie FULL of LGMH!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: That was so nice of her!

I am crossing my fingers that they do the sensible thing and open it up online too! The disappointment of not getting what I want has NOTHING on wasting an hour on hold waiting to be told so. :thumbsup2

Oh, YES, I agree!:upsidedow

I also have a PassPorter book and LOVE it. It has a breakdown of planning, flights, resorts, parks, restaurants, special tours, and has wonderful maps. It also gives you alot of Disney transportation information that I found very helpful. You can go to their site to order a book OR pick it up at your local bookstore.

I  my Passporter!

QUESTION: Has anyone ever gone up in the balloon at DTD. That's one other "first" that we're thinking of doing ths time. Fun? Worth it?
