NOVEMBER 2012 Trip Planners Thread~ Everybody is Welcome~Part 3 already!

Has anyone ever been to mvmcp before? Is it a waste if I arrive around 6:30ish?
I had ADR at 5 at cape may, we're fast eaters so I'm figurin I'll get there by 6:30 I don't want to miss anything, just wondering when the character meet and greets are , do they last all night ? I'm excited about the party , I will be buying DD one of the cute Disney Christmas dresses from etsy for the party. And for our mk day for BBB belle holiday dress and hoping and determined to get BOG!
My Dd also wants auoras dress for when we go to Epcot she loves the princesses, who doesn't ? Too bad I can't wear a costume
I'm also trying to push in ADR for 1900 park fare after full day of mk not sure though, Be our guest is all that is on my mind, I'm hoping it's open and hoping they release some dates this upcoming Tuesday fingers crossed

Your plan sounds great! I'm thinking we need to give the teachers a heads up a few weeks after school starts. However, I don't want to tell because I'm afraid the teachers will slip up and tell about the surprise! They've got so many kids that it would be easy to happen, after all, it's hard for DH and I to keep the secret. I'm hoping that it won't be a problem and the boys won't have to take too much homework.

With today being August 4th...... be honest ...... how many of you have gone to the Disney site to make sure BOG wasn't taking reservations?
I HAD to. Couldn't seem to stop myself.

Thanks for the reply, I went there once two years ago but didn't stay long my kids were very young then, since I have 10:30 breakfast at tusker house I plan on gettin out of animal kingdom but 3

Well, the whole month of October opened up on Aug 2. Last year they opened Oct 1/2 way at a time. But so far this year all the months have been opening up on what looks like to be during the first week 2 months before the month that is opening. One or 2 of them appeared to have opened up a bit earlier than that... I plan to just check daily starting Aug 20 and hoping one of those days I hit it!

Well I took Kaileigh to the doctor. She has hand foot mouth....how do you even get that? At least it isn't what I thought it might be. The last time she had a UTI and only complained her stomach her and I thought that might be it again since she was complaining about her tummy. I researched it and there doesn't seem to be much on it. But the doctor told me she has seen alot of cases of it lately. So apparently it is going around. On a better note....at least it is now and not right before our trip.

My DS2 has had it this week! Not fun! Apparently most kids with it don't itch... well my son's did! He was up ALL night the first night! Took me awhile 2 figure out that his hands & feet were itching! Poor baby...

My girls had it about 6 - 8 months ago. They must have had a really mild case because I didnt even realize they had it until almost a week had gone by. The tough part about this is that its viral and it just goes away on its own.

DD 4 woke me up last night because she had a bad dream, she woke me up from a "bad" dream that I was having, I got to tell her I had a bad dream too.
My dream we were just sitting down to lunch at Columbia Harbor House when it started raining and I realized I had forgotten our rain jackets. We have jackets we dont wear ponchos. My husband kept leaning into the rain pouring off the roof so he was getting extra wet. I was a paniced mess.

DH and I love MVMCP and it is a must do for us. But I know that everyone doesn't feel that way. You can get in with your MVMCP ticket at 4:00pm. We are having a early supper and then into the party. I can't help you with the characters or locations. I did have a link that had last years schedule in it. But can't find it. Maybe someone else has it.

I forgot to mention we were at Target yesterday and I dont know if anyones kids like squinkies, mine do, but they had new faires and new disney themed pets & pals they called it.

My girls have all the Disney squinkies they love them. I think I my have to get these as "in room" surprises for them for our trip

I need some advice!
I'm considering switching 2 of my park days due to the fact that easywdw crowd calendar has them as both least recommended parks for those days. Which of course would mean I would have to switch ADRs as well, not a huge problem as there are still ressies available for around the same times as the originals. But my question...how much emphasis do you put into "easywdw" crowd calendars? This is my 4th time at wdw and my first time looking at these calendars! I don't have TouringPlans so I'm not sure what they say. Any advice? :

My brother and sis-inlaw were there in May and I told them all of his recommended days and they said he was right on.

I did!!!! We have CRT for breakfast on 12/4 so I thought it would be neat to have dinner in another castle.

So sorry to hear it! Hope you don't get it as well. I hear it really hits the adults hard. Sure hope she gets better really quickly!

You're welcome. Since the party doesn't actually start until 7, I think a 5:00 ADR would be fine, the only thing you'll really miss is the chance to get in a few MK attractions that aren't open during the party.

If we can at least accomplish some of MK before/during the beginning of the party, it eases the rush of our other 2 MK days.

I will have a full day at mk w emh do I'm not worried , we don't ride the big rides my kiddies r too small last year we actually got everything done by 7 I was surprise Maybe two rides I didn't get to do to, but since I'm doing the party, I won't be rushin to see fireworks I will see the electrical parade and then off to do some more rides
