NOVEMBER 2012 Trip Planners Part 2~yes there IS another!

Ok so I had been doing some thinking and I *think* I may cancel our plans to do the Candlelight Processional. The only night we could do it, was the night we got there and with leaving for the airport at 5am, I am not sure my 4yo could do that AND get up for a 8am CM breakfast the next day. I think it would be too much running around and not enjoying our vacation. Besides I said something to my family and they kind of looked at me like then said 'oh ok if thats what u planned'. Its also my grandfathers bday(the day we arrive) and I think he wants WCC so WL the first night it is!
Someone please tell me I made the right descision

What you could also do is wait and see if anyone is up for it and just stand behind the seating area to hear it. There isn't much to see anyway, the singers of course, as they march in and out and also the flailing of the speakers hands but that is about it. When we went we saw a crowd behind us with their kids on the Dad's shoulders just taking it in, and moving on when they were done/bored. That way if you are all too tired after dinner you can just go back too!

I checked online for fantasmic packages on Nov 11, but all I could get was 3:50. I called CS and got a 4:30 table for a 6:30 showing.

I also noticed something weird when I was booking my adrs last Saturday, on a couple adrs I picked a time and it showed no availability for a restaurant but if i altered the time a bit it found tables. For example I was looking for an adr for Le Cellier at 6pm it came back saying there is no availability from 4pm -7pm.. I changed the time to 5:30 on the same day and I got a table.

So how goes everyone's budgeting for their trips, now that a lot of us are less than 6 months to go

I have about 60% paid off so far ($1375 remaining due by mid-September)
Plane tickets - Bought and paid for already
Kennel Costs - Budgeting out of my semi-annual stock bonus

Since we upgraded dining to the deluxe plan we know owe about $1,700. Gas and spending money is already set aside. (But it would sure be great if the price of gas keeps droping. )

I notice "wishes" is posted for 8:00 during the times I am there - we were also hoping to catch this from the beach at poly. Do I need to plan for 9:00 instead - or is that just for the fireworks on the nights of MVMCP?

That is just the MVMCP Holiday Wishes time. If the fireworks are at 8:00 during your stay then I would allow at least 90 min for dinner and getting a spot at the Poly beach. The EWP won't start until 9:00 though.

as far as $$ paid,. we only have the deposit paid right now,..still debating on adding one night at the end...will decide this weekend. Bal will be paid when we see if we get a Room Only discount offered,..or FD, RO is better for us, but we will take either...
Airfare-we use our points and hopefully have enough for at least 3 out of 5 as of now,..will have more as we get closer. I usually do it about 3 months out, so I have until the end of July or first of August.
Spending $$--of course not!

Never did SW on points but always fly w them:... Do you have to book everything separate when doing points/cc?? Can you do one transaction with all tickets and just apply diff methods of payment? If not what a pain in the booty.

I just booked a trip for all five of us on points, and I was able to handle it as a single transaction, but it assigned different Confirmation numbers to each one of us. I'm not sure how it would work with more than one form of payment, though.

I was going to ask the same thing...the june 4th works out good for me too as I am waiting for points to be deposited from the cc purchase. They should go in there next week after my closing date. I will pay for 3 flights with points and 2 oop and wondering if I have to do 2 seperate purchases

Booked my ADR's this morning. Only needed a few but couldn't get any thing I wanted for Thanksgiving Day. And this was my own fault. We have 2 separate reservations, 11/14-11/16 at POR and 11/16-11/23 at SSR. I was booking for those first couple of days only. Thought I had to wait until Sunday to make the rest. Just for fun I decided to look at 1900 Park Fare for the big birthday dinner and to my surprise I was able to book it! So then I decided to try Thanksgiving Day and I couldn't get anything on my list as possibilites. There were already 28 restaurants showing no availability.
I know this is my fault. I thought the system wouldn't link these 2 reservations as one. I feel stupid.
Anybody else try to boook Turkey Day today? Hope you had better luck than I did!!

$$$ - I've only put $200 on each reservation (ours and DMIL). We have the money for the rest, but I'll wait and pay right before the final payment is due unless we hear rumors of a possible price increase.

??? - Has anyone heard any rumors about a new discount coming out? The current one ends today, right?

Well, we are leaving for the beach this afternoon after I get off work! The bags are packed and we are so ready to get out of town for a few days and kick off the summer! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

ANYONE ELSE GOING NOVEMBER 24TH? WONDERING THE CROWDS AND WEATHER THAT WEEK. I NORMALY GO IN MAY, SO THIS WILL BE A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE. PURCHASED MY MVMCP TICKETS ALREADY!
HAS ANYONE CONFIRMED IF THERE ARE NEW REFRIDG'S AT POP? MY 1 YEAR OLD WILL BE DRINKING MILK, SO WE DEF NEED A REFRIGERATOR.
SO EXCITED!!!

FLIGHTS WILL BE COMING OUT ON MONDAY WITH SOUTHWEST!!!!

This will be our 4th year in a row going this week. The first two days are gonna be a little crowded due to people still there from Thanksgiving week. The rest of the week will be nice. The weather is great and the crowds are minimum. The longest we usually wait is for the character meet and greets. I think last year with the exception of Soarin, we might have waited 30 minutes max for any other rides.
