okay I think I need some advice from the experts...that would be you guys :o)

I HAD things all set for the week...but I got to thinking about the last day DBF are there. It is the Saturday of the Christmas Parade. We were going to hopefully do the Wild Africa Trek in the morning, have a bit of a rest at the resort, then head to Magic Kingdom for the rest of the night.

NOW I am thinking MK is not the best option...from what I have read, the crowds could be crazy. I was going with the thought that it will be busy so we'll just go for the atmosphere, walk around, see the parade and fireworks.

The new thought is to still do WAT in the am (that is something the boyfriend REALLY wants to do), still do a bit of a rest, but then maybe trying to get an ADR for 'ohana that night and watch the fireworks on the beach. We are not doing any other touring of the resorts, I've heard that 'ohana is good (if we can get an ADR) and the fireworks on the beach sounds like a really relaxing (and romantic) way to finish a WDW vacation.

Now I guess I could always try to make the ADR and if we decide that we didn't get enough of MK on our other days, cancel the ADR at 'ohana (before my CC will be charged) and head to MK as originally planned.

We do have to leave at some ungodly hour in the morning for our flights the next day.

Any thoughts??

That sounds like such a nice way to end your trip.

I have been in the MK during the parade taping. Once you get past Main Street. The crowd is not to bad. I would call the day a good moderate crowd level. So I guess it is just a toss up on how relaxing you want that last day to be since you have an early flight. :goodvibes

This is our plan for our final Disney evening!! They are having a MVMCP on that Fri and we will have already attended the party earlier in the week. There is also an Electrical Water Pageant that is viewable from the Poly beach. I think it starts at 9:00 unless Wishes is at 9:00, then it starts right after.

Hoping they offer a discount for November!! I won't be able to get it, staying at my DVC resort during Thanksgiving week then cruising on DCL. But my friend, her hubby and 2 kids are going the first week of Nov, they have never been, and are scraping money to go. It would save them a bundle with the free dining or any discount. I am her official vacation planner!!! :cool1:

What time did you/are you going to try to make the ADR for??

for those of you that have done the Candlelight Processional package........Do you prefer the lunch or dinner package? We have never done the CP and I really want it for this trip.

We did an early dinner at Rose & Crown around 4PM and it worked out just fine for us

We're going!! November 10-18 at POR!!!
Really hoping for Free Dining! Hopefully the rumors are true and Free dining will be extended again! We have gotten it for November the past 4 years!

Well, I just shifted our trip dates by a day. We were going Nov. 24th - Dec. 1st.

Now we are going Nov. 25th - Dec. 2nd. :rotfl: So my ADR ticker is off by a day. :bitelip:

Does anyone bring a big binder full of menus and such with them? I used to always do that, but then never look in it much. I won't be doing that this time (just a skinny little folder, maybe an inch thick lol!).

I did last trip, but this trip I'm saving everything on my tablet and just taking that.

Okay.....fess up. How many of you have had kinda sorta freak out monents about something with your trip? You know..... Not being sure of your resort, ADRs, to tour or not to tour...........? :rotfl:

I always have those moments!!! ADRs, resorts, touring plans, parties, extra stuff, to nap or not nap... the list goes on and on.

This sounds like a lovely plan. Romantic, relaxing... perfect ending

Now you are sharing my dates :wave2: Did this happen because of the FD dates??? :rotfl2: I know u were thinking about that too!

We did a dinner package - I didn't want to do lunch and have the sun still be up for the show, plus it was nice to eat and then go get in line instead of start touring again then have to pull ourselves back over. We ate around 6 and went to the 8:15, which got out just in time for Illuminations. I never did see it though... that was back during the severe cold snap in 2010 and by that time I was freezing (even with a parka, hat and hand warmers!) and coming down with a horrid cold so we went back to the hotel to my Mom's protestations. :(

Well......Sunday to sunday just seemed right. Arriving on Sunday just seems to work better. Especially since we will be arriving about 9:00am. And hopefully the crowds should be starting to thin out. :thumbsup2 I hate to tell you this.....but some of my family is going to be at POR with you on those same dates. :lmao:I promise......you will survive. Repeat after me......I will survive. :rotfl2::lmao:

Plenty. There WERE people in line ahead of us already with stickers on, but tons more showed up after as well and we still had a bit of a wait... 20-30 minutes I think.
