You can tell the dates of MNSSHP and MVMCP by looking at the touring plans crowd calendar. If the park is closing at 7, its a party night :goodvibes

Historically though, when do tickets go on sale for either/both parties. If they are at the park in late October, will the tickets for MNSSHP sell faster than say earlier in the month. Same with MVMCP, the closer to Christmas, the quicker those tickets sell, right?

Tickets go on sale approx. May 1. I think I bought mine April 30 last year. Halloween week will be busy, so it is best to select a date and purchase early. Halloween night itself will sell out quickly. I can't comment on MVMCP as I have not been, but I would assume the same holds true-- the closer to the holiday, the more crowded it will be.

The final MVMCP will sell out. The final Friday will sell out. ANY party in December can sell out, especially that last week.

I can't find my original post, so I'll throw another one out here!

We are going with the IL's from 11/24-12/1! Planning to stay (again) at WL. Airfare is purchased through JetBlue--direct flight early in the AM and returning late PM to make the most of our days. Now I just need to book the package. Like everyone else, we're hoping for FD again. I think I should just book the packages though and then hope to apply a FD code later. Right?!?

Already thinking about ADRs! Going back to some favorites (Ohana) but ready to try some new (Biergarten). My ideas now are:
Biergarten
Ohana
Chef Mickeys (the kids love it)
Cape May Cafe Clambake (adults love it)
1900 Park Fare ?
Garden Grill
Liberty Tree Tavern

I'm sure that list will change as I try to plan out our days. We'll defintely do MVMCP, so that's a factor as well.

Happy planning everyone!
:wave2:

I am soooo ready to book my room for our upcoming Nov trip. My issue is, I'm not sure where to book :confused3 Like many others I'm hoping for FD in Nov. If Disney releases FD we will upgrade to a mod but if FD is not offered we will stay value. So my question is.....Do I go ahead & just book the mod & keep my fingers crossed, or do I book the value & upgrade if FD is offered:confused3:confused3:confused3

I would think upgrading might be easier than downgrading should a pin or discount not become available

I don't know when you are going, but if you are like my family and going the end of November and into the beginning of December, you will need to be aware of Pop Warner week.

We were originally planned for last year and free dining was offered for the end of November up to December 3. However, there were black out dates from December 4 until the end of Pop Warner week, then free dining picked up again. You could still get free dining for your entire stay as long as your arrival date was before the black out dates.

So that is something to consider if you're going the end of November.

I have a 10% off room and free quick service but it exludes arts of animation hotels :( do all pin codes exludes that hotel:confused3

Wow, a 2 discount pin, that seems unusual. I wonder if you wanted the DDP instead of QS, could you just pay the difference

As for Art of Animation, others reported that certain discounts are working on AoA, but some are not.

I finally called back to check on AAA rate and pin codes. No ccode and the wonderful CM checked evey possible name variation she could think of. LOL Howwever, I got 15% off my original reservation at POR Royal Guest Room.

Who is NOT going with the ddp? Just curious. It seems like if you do one character meal in a day it pays for itself, no?

Thanks!

We are going with the dining plan. LOVE being able to eat at the nice restaurants. We don't get to do that that much so it's nice when we are down there.

I feel the same way! :) I think it is a big savings if you are eating at 1 ts per day.

We are not using the dining plan either (unless we get free qs)! It's a mother/daughter trip. My daughter will be just shy of 11 and she's a super picky eater. I looked at menus from some of our favorites last night and I just don't think there is anything she would like (except breakfast...she loves bacon..ha). Since this is a different kind of trip for us I like the idea of just eating when we feel hungry and not being tied to ADRs. Our last trip (with all 6 of us) we stayed 11 days with the dining plan and enjoyed it!

Typically how is the crowd level the week after Thanksgiving? I don't really plan on getting alot done the day we arrive or Fri,Sat, and Sunday. Just hoping the week after will be less crowded and we can hit a christmas party.

According to my planning spreadsheets, we save more with a room discount than the dining plan. At first, it was hard to give up the "everything's already paid for" fun of the dining plan, but we like it better now.

Not to say we'll never do the DDP again, but not this trip.

We'll be there Nov 2 - 11, and are considering both the Halloween and MVMCP parties. We've never done the Halloween one, and loved the Christmas one, so it's a tough call.

It's just my ds and I going, so we're not interested in FD, but will be looking for a good room discount. Got a PIN code for 25% off rooms (AoA excluded), but ending before our trip. Hoping to get another one!
