Try the PIN anyway...sometimes it will work for other dates. Mine said May, but it worked for October, too. :goodvibes

Here are the links for the Oct. and Nov. travel agent calendars. You can see what the probable party dates are...

I will definitely have to try that :thumbsup2...it never occurred to me that it would work for our dates...hmm...:scratchin

Thanks for the links to the calendars :goodvibes I had been stocking the October one but replacing it for November pretty much every other day until the hours came out :rotfl2: so I know the potential dates for the parties, but nothing is official just yet. I've been planning based around those times though...I'd just like to know that how I'm planning things now won't have to change too much down the road...wishful thinking, I know. What's more, I'd like to know for sure when the tickets for both parties go on sale so I know what morning I have to see if I can go to work a little late :rolleyes1 (unless it's on a weekend, in which case it won't matter) Do you (or anyone for that matter) know off hand when I can book a haunted carriage ride at the Fort Wilderness?

Who is NOT going with the ddp? Just curious. It seems like if you do one character meal in a day it pays for itself, no?

Thanks!

We are not going to add the DDP - it's just me and my DD (13) and although we do a TS most nights, we still find it to just break even or pretty close since she is considered an adult.

Typically how is the crowd level the week after Thanksgiving? I don't really plan on getting alot done the day we arrive or Fri,Sat, and Sunday. Just hoping the week after will be less crowded and we can hit a christmas party.

We arrive the Sunday after you and leave on the 2nd too. We are avoiding parks on the first day. Fri, Sat and sun I think the levels are at a 10 I will get the touring plans crowd calculator-hold on

Does anyone know why MK would be closing at 7pm on Friday, Nov 2? The last MNSSHP is supposed to be Nov 1, correct?

The first number is the date,2nd is the RESORT crowd level, 3rd is the MAGIC KINGDOM crowd level, 4th is EPCOT, 5th is DISNEY HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS and finally ANIMAL KINGDOM

I don't want to be a wet blanket......but if this came from Touring Plans, it's against board policy to post it here. Who would ever pay for it if people kept posting it for free?

I have to agree. As someone who pays for it, I really don't appreciate it being posted to others for free. There are other free sites - www.easywdw.com for example.

To maximize attendance, they probably want it on that Friday instead of Thursday. I thought I saw elsewhere in the thread that someone posted the last time the 1st was on a Thursday, the last MNSSHP went to Friday the 2nd

SORRY didnt mean to offend anyone just trying to help............:rolleyes2:rolleyes2:badpc::badpc:

Wow, a 2 discount pin, that seems unusual. I wonder if you wanted the DDP instead of QS, could you just pay the difference

As for Art of Animation, others reported that certain discounts are working on AoA, but some are not.

Yes you would just pay the difference for the ddp which is cheaper than the normal price

Deciding on going a trip Nov 25-Nov 30
I usally go in the summer and havent been there for the holidays since my parents took me. How are the hours I seen MK will close at 8 and only at 10 on weekends, does anyone know the EMH yet for MK for pm?

Has anyone done Mickeys BBQ or the Sleigh rides at fort wilderness lodge?
they look like fun!:cool1:

I am so excited I am getting married in September going on a two day honeymoon alone with my future hubby then taking our kids to Disney so much to look forward too!

It's been raining most of the morning, and we have had an exhausting couple of weeks. Today has been a much needed lazy day. We are having a cool front come in behind the rain so DH is cooking gumbo for dinner... yummy! ... so I don't even have to worry about cooking. It's the PERFECT Disney planning afternoon!

QUESTION: We are going Nov 10th (arrive on 11th) - Nov 19th. According to Josh's plan, we have three choices for MVMCP.

1 - Monday, Nov 12 - Veteran's Day - This might be a good option, but I'm wondering how many people going for the long weekend may take an extra day off so they can attend the party.

2 - Thursday, Nov 15 - I'm thinking this is my best choice.

3 - Friday, Nov 16 - Locals night and I'm wondering how many people coming for Thanksgiving week will come a day early to attend this party since it isn't offered during Thanksgiving week.

So... what are your thoughts? :surfweb:

we are arriving the 15th and planning on doing the party on the 15th. I am thinking it is your best bet for exactly the reasons you state.

We will also be there the EXACT same week and in the same boat (which party day???). This is my two sense. The week before is Jersey Week and there is a party on Friday. It is also Veterans Day weekend which will give people an extra day to vacation or TRAVEL. I think most people are going to use that day to travel rather than for a party, because then they would need an additional day (Tues) to travel. Friday(16) is a party day but one that will probably be busy because of the locals and the Thanksgiving crowds coming early to experience a party. But then again there is a party the Sun after Thanksgiving also. I think Fri would be a definate NO (for us anyway)! Thursday seems like a safe choice, but I wouldn't completely rule out Monday either. I'm going to keep these 2 days available for MVMCP then decide based on ADRs. :thumbsup2 What do you guys think???

I agree with what you guys are planning. No Friday, no Veteran's Day.

Anyone that's been for Thanksgiving, can you recommend a place that you've been to with a decent traditional Thanksgiving meal?

We've had Thanksgiving dinner at Boatwrights at POR and Kouzzina on the Boardwalk. Both were good, but I preferred Boatwrights. Kouzzina did something a little fancy to the stuffing, and I'm kind of a picky eater. I would do either meal again, though!

This year, I think I'm going for 50's Prime Time. Seems like a fun atmosphere for a Thanksgiving meal Disney-style!

I hadn't thought of 50's Prime Time. Do they serve Thanksgiving dinner too?

I think I'm going with that Thursday. I'm trying to use Josh's park suggestions, and I'm having a hard time fitting in everything we want to do. I've been playing with it all afternoon, and it's frustrating the heck out of me. :scared1:

I've heard Liberty Tree Tavern has a good one, but I love mydisneyobsession's the suggestion for 50's Prime Time. That seems like a fun place for Thanksgiving.
