Hi - I just clicked quick links, then subscribed threads but it tells me my folder is empty. Help?
(What ever happened to dixie cups for communication? I know that I have to get more tech savvy!)

Ugh. I remember that from our time living in Dallas. We still flew Southwest then, because of the Rewards program, but it was such an ordeal to get anywhere outside of Texas. I thought the Wright Act was expiring? I left the area, so hadn't heard recently, but I thought I remembered that it was a limited-time restriction and it was coming to an end soon.

I threw caution to the wind and did it. I like the idea of being able to concentrate on Epcot and Hollywood Studios while we're at the Dolphin, and it was bothering me that we weren't going to get that special MK Transportation advantage out of our split stay at POR. I was also bugged about the idea of going from the Dulexe-ish Dolphin to a moderate room. Lots of little things contributed to the decision, I guess. It would have been a great trip, either way. Now I'm going to hurry up and get it paid for so I don't second guess myself. If it's paid for, I can stop thinking about the extra expense, and focus on the fun of staying at a dream resort!

I am - as a rule - a cheapskate, so I usually choose the cheaper alternative! This is a big stretch for me! LOL.
Some of the Wright Amendment restrictions go through 2014, although many ended already. So not sure if then they will fly direct or not. I hope so!!!!!

I loved the Dolphin, it really is nice and the beds are so comfy! Can't beat the location either. I have been wanting to try the little restaurant there- The Fountain, i hear it is good. And we had one of our best meals at Shula's. Beat out Le Cellier and Cali Grill easy. :thumbsup2

Yeah- i haven't played with it yet, that is so cool you can book ADRs from it!

Guess what? I had not clicked to subscribe in the first place! (I thought computers already know what we're thinking, so apparantly the computer wasn't doing it's job...) Any way, I am now officially subscribed to my first thread!!!

We are planning our trip for Nov. 3-10. We were planning on early Dec. for the Christmas decorations and low crowds, but our close friends from NJ (yep) need to go during 'that' time and it's important to us to be with them. We last visited 5 years ago in early Feb. and the crowds were so low. We honestly didn't wait more than a few minutes in any line. I got spoiled during that trip, and am a little apprehensive about what to expect crowd wise during early November.
These boards have been so helpful. I didn't even know to call WDW to see if there were any Pin codes or discounts associated with us. I will be reading these boards much more often than I should! Happy day to you all.

Hi everyone! It's Girl Scout cookie delivery time around here so we've been busy with those. My living room floor is covered with GS cookie boxes! Soooo dangerous to the gotta-lose-some-weight-before-Disney diet.

I have a question for those of you from the DFW area. It's been 10 years since I lived in the area, and DD and I are going to Dallas for her birthday in July. I'd like to take her somewhere nice and/or fun for her birthday dinner. She'll be 7, and she loves Italian and Mexican food. She doesn't care for chicken tenders (unless it's McD's), mac n cheese, or burgers. I was thinking about a fun Mexican or Italian restaurant, but am looking for any suggestions. As long as it's not something like Chuck E Cheese. I loathe that place.

Also, we are going to the American Girl doll store, and Sam Moon (she'll love that place), but other than that, we really don't have any plans. It's just a quick weekend trip... fly in Thursday at noon and fly out Sat at noon, but I'd like to find some neat stores she would enjoy (she loves shopping) or something else fun for her to do. Any suggestions?

Welcome to all the newbies!! and WOW! at all the PINs. That's awesome! I think Disney has a "NO PIN ALLOWED" on my account or something! LOL! It's fine. I'm hoping for FD anyway!

OK, this was cruel. My wife got an e-mail from Disney with her account, as I guess she was trying out the different trip ideas, and it said call in with this pin, so I did, but it was just 10% off the room, and can not be applied to the package trip

Hopefully that's just their starting offer. Maybe it's a sign of better PINS to come!

Hi Everyone! Still waiting for a discount.. I'm getting very antsy!! ;)

Do we have dates yet for Osborne Lights, MVMCP or F&W festival for this year yet? Also when is the earliest we can anticipate the Castle Dream lights to be up? Thank you in advance !:goodvibes

I believe the Food & Wine goes through November 11th. As for the Christmas Holiday items, we have to wait until May, but it stands to reason the MVMCP will start around the same time this year as year's past, Nov 8th, and the Christmas Lights should be on the castle at that time too

Awesome, Thanks! I am trying to strategically plan our trip so we get to experience everything, but there isn't much overlap! It might just work though!

I think the only thing you might miss is all the decor being up at all the Resorts,..that happens after the parks are decorated, party starts and Osborne lights are up,...I bet you get to see it all!!!

That's my feeling too, as we are there from the 7th to the 13th, and we will finish out F&W, and do MVMCP and the Osborne lights, but I think we will have to leave before the resorts are done, though we will try to see at least any gingerbread houses that are done

We are going Nov 2-11 but I haven't decided where we are staying yet. Hoping for a pin or free dining. Also considering rentivg dvc. Earlier in the post someone said to call and ask about pins. Is it possible one is associated with my name and no email or snail mail?
