:goodvibes Thanks everyone for the pixie dust! I am hoping this is just a rut and we will be out of it in a few weeks. Im :sick: trying to figure out how to pay mortgage and bills till then but I think itll be ok-it always is :hug:

On a side note~~~~ I got my Passporter Binder and UG book yesterday!!! :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

How do you like the binder? I got my refills in yesterday. :woohoo:

For anyone else that is having issues with the Dis being slow.....Do you stay logged in? I just logged out and signed back in. Things seem to be moving along alittle better. Keeping my fingers crossed. :thumbsup2

I love it!!!:cloud9: I have been highlighting like there is no tomorrow!!! I still am using MY planning journal and calendar!!

Can't give up the planning binder. :eek: I would be lost without mine. :rotfl: It holds all those little tips and tidbits that I have collected from the Dis over the years. :thumbsup2 Off topic.....But those of you that enjoy your Disney planning journals should make yourself a home journal. You put whatever you want or need to keep yourself and your family scheduled.

gett'n so excited, went look'n at all the rides my 4 yr old then will be 5 will get to ride end of the year!!!!! He is 42" now! I wonder if he'll hit another 2" by November so he can ride Expedition Everest! I always wondered why Primival Whirl was 48" that seems like such a tame ride to me compared to other coasters :confused3

OMGosh no! That thing whips you around to the point my sides hurt from hitting DH and the side of the car....its fun though!

Another November. Booked last night for November 16-25. Hope it is okay to join in here and not be staying onsite. We own a timeshare and so booked at Bonnet Creek.

I have not really started "planning" much yet. I have been there several times in the past so have a general tour plan I just redo every trip. On the other hand this will be my husband and stepchildrens second trip. I introduced them to WDW Thanksgiving week 2010. The kids are really excited to be going back.

My DHs sister and her family are joining us so in all we have 4 adults and 7 kids ranging from 13 to 3, as of now. There may be more join the group before the time gets here.

I have sort of glanced through this thread (boy you all are very chatty) and gotten some good ideas of things I might want to do this trip.

Welcome! :cheer2: It sounds like you will have a great group going! Are you doing the majority of the planning for your group?

:lmao: Yes, we are very chatty! :lmao:

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

Anyone else having issues with getting on the Dis and/or posting?

Soooooo slowwwww. :confused:

:On a side note~~~~ I got my Passporter Binder and UG book yesterday!!! :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

I have the 2010 UG, and was debating if there would be enough updates in the 2012 to make it worth purchasing it. Please let me know what you think once you had a chance to go through it.

See that? My ticker? It now says 9 months!!!! WOOHOOOOOO!!

That deserves a :banana: or two... :banana: :banana:

Thanks for the tip! I'll try that! :thumbsup2

I couldn't agree more! They are fun to make, and the DISigners on the Creative DISign board have some really cute templates. :)

~~~~~~~
Hope everyone has a great day!
Thanks for the info! I'm going to check that out. The book looks like it is the perfect size... small enough for the kids to carry in their bags.
Yes, we loved it. We always keep it in a large ziploc bag with some sharpies, easy to keep it from being damage by water rides or rain.
Think my question may have gotten lost/overlooked in all the posts,but can someone help me out with this, please?
If we have our trip already booked for arriving 11/17, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and they come out with free dining, but you'd need to check in by Thursday the 15th for it to be good for the length of your trip.... Would we able to change our reservation to check-in on the 15th and take advantage of the offer? I would love to extend our trip and it would be do-able if there were free dining, we would NOT be able to go for two days longer if we wouldn't be allowed to tack on the free dining. They did free dining that way for Thanksgiving week 2010, we knew nothing about it and checked-in on Saturday and had no free dining. When I found out later what we missed out on (on here), I was SICK.
Advice?
I think others have answered, but i agree, book the additional two days now. It will all depend on availability. But yes, you should be able to do it! I would go ahead and adjust it now, since others will probably be trying to do the same thing if and when FD comes out. ;)
Oh and I also forgot to say:
exwdwcm- your little boy is ADORABLE! What a cutie-pie!
And 298 days for us! I'm soooo excited to be under 300!:goodvibes:cool1::thumbsup2
Thank you! Yeah for under 300!!!!
thanks for the welcome everyone!:cool1:
Mommy of 3- sorry to hear about your husband- hope he finds something very soon!
exwdwcm- I love the autograph book!
we are also thinking about the caribbean resort and staying in a pirate room..anyone stayed in one before?
is the MVMCP worth the extra $.. thinking about adding that one, but not sure yet :)
We love MVMCP. I did my first MNSSHP this past October and I have to say, I enjoyed it more than MVMCP, but we still love MVMCP. I've done it at least 3x. We feel it is worth it. We usually stay the entire party or close to it. Now it won't be worth it if you have young children that require you to leave the party early. I would say if you can't stay until at least 10 or 10:30pm, then it's not worth it. We really love the special parade and usually see the second, less crowded one. Holiday WISHES is amazing too. We really enjoy the shorter lines for rides too and holiday characters. We plan to do the 11/13 party (guessing they will have one that date based on historical dates).
Can y'all believe we are up to page 129? :woohoo: Or that we only have 9 months (and a couple weeks) til we are in DISNEY?? :dance3:
Well, I got one thing scratched off my to do list today! I updated my Disney packing list. I keep a generic packing list on a spreadsheet, and I updated it for things we will or won't need for Disney. CHECK!
Tomorrow I'm going to work on my picture itinerary. :goodvibes I have to say, now that I'm starting to feel better and not on so much pain medication, I am enjoying staying home. I could get used to this! :goodvibes I still have to rest and take it easy so I'm not doing much around the house, and I've been able to spend a lot of time on computer, reading, crocheting, and catching up on TV shows and movies I haven't seen.
I can't believe we are at under 9 months. The time is already flying! So glad you are feeling better now. Keep taking it easy and rest up. you'll be back to normal soon enough. ;)
Wow welcome! Sounds like a fun group to travel with!
Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes
Anyone else having issues with getting on the Dis and/or posting?
Yes, it was running super slow for me yesterday and still slow today. I think they are doing some work on it or moving to new servers or something I read.
My DS4 is tall for his age. He was already 42" when we went when he had just turned 3. He could have ridden ToT, but i wasn't about to submit a 3yo to it, i just wasn't sure he would handle it. But he rode it twice in October, he had literally just turned 4. He rode everything except Space Mtn, EE, Primeval Whirl and RnR. Primeval Whirl does whip you around pretty viciously, but I don't know if it is much worse than say Dinosaur and DS rode that.
Mommyof3- just sending more pixie dust your way. So sorry to hear about your hubby. STay positive and feel free to vent anytime! We are thinking about you!:hug::grouphug:
Welcome! :cheer2: It sounds like you will have a great group going! Are you doing the majority of the planning for your group?
Good morning all.
Yes I will be doing the majority of the planning. I love planning. That is part of the whole experience.
I am hoping to be able to get everyone Personalized Mickey Ears and also to make at least one matching shirt for our group.
And yes the DIS is moving very slowly.
Well, I'm still having trouble with the Dis. Logging out then back in really didn't work after all. :sad2:
Silly people...they have no idea. :sad2: :sad2:
I'm hoping to be able to talk DH into a cruse next year, but I know NOTHING about them. I've never been on a cruise, much less a Disney cruise.
OMGosh no! That thing whips you around to the point my sides hurt from hitting DH and the side of the car....its fun though!
Glad to know. :thumbsup2
Yes, we loved it. We always keep it in a large ziploc bag with some sharpies, easy to keep it from being damage by water rides or rain.
We do the same thing. Good tip for any newbies! Whether you make your own autograph book or purchase one at Disney, bring a large Ziploc bag to keep your book in and some Sharpies (fat markers not pens) for the characters to sign with.
I think most of us would agree. I certainly do! :thumbsup2
~~~~~

I asked DH about the MVMCP last night, and he said what I thought he would... "I don't care." I should have known better than to ask. :rolleyes1

Atleas its better than what my DH says- 'Whatever you want Honey" :confused: which is not what I want to hear...sometimes~ unless it pertains to Disney that he can say it til the cows come home cuz Id plan it anyway :rotfl: :rotfl2:

My littel guy is 42.5 inches and 4 too! He'll be 5 in December I'm wondering how tall he'll be in Nov. as well :rotfl:

I'm hoping DS has a good growth spurt this summer like he usually does. He just turned 4 last week and he's 40". Either way, I'm not sure he'll be brave enough to go on some of the 44" requirement rides.

DD is 47" so we are good to go there. I have no doubt she'll pass 48" inches up this year.
