So DD12 tells me she wants to try lobster......well Narcoosee's it is! And we added CRT....that will open a few days...now on to writing everything down and praying i get ALL the ADR's! ACK!

Sounds like a great plan! I hope you get everything you want! :thumbsup2

Ahh I totally agree! We talked about it tonight and decided on staying at the Beach Club!!! I am so excited- we love the pool and the breakfast buffet and the seafood buffet for dinner. It will also be super nice being in walking distance to Epcot for F&W.

Now what is the best way to go about getting a PIN that everyone speaks of? I would love to get the Free Dining one because that would be right up my SO alley to not have to pay for meals OOP when we are there! Is it best to wait to hear when public dates for Free Dining are announced (or if they even are)? I'm a little confused as to how it all works so any info would be appreciated!!

Beachwalk!!! That's is awesome! :thumbsup2

FD is usually offered to the general public. I don't know if it is ever offered as PIN. Maybe someone could clarify. As for room PINs, Disney randomly sends those out. :goodvibes

Just booked our November 12-18 trip - so excited! We went with the Wilderness Lodge after almost endless discussion and debate.

I have already learned so much from reading this thread and can't wait to get our ADRs planned, too. Cinderella's Royal Table is top of that list!

ARGH! I tried twice last night to post and LOST all my typing! Got an iPad for Christmas and finally tried to post with that (silly keyboard!) and LOST them. I could have cried. Too many characters? I don't know. So, posting from the Mac.

My dh is trying to talk me into staying for Thanksgiving day....what do you all think? I just am worried about the crowds.....but his buddy told him they were at MK last Thanksgiving and the crowds weren't bad, dunno hard to believe

Oh, go for it! We were there for Thanksgiving 2010 and it was not nearly as bad as we thought it would be. We were in Epcot on Thanksgiving Day. Had lunch at Le Cellier and a nice Thanksgiving CS meal at Riverside Mill at POR. We're doing it again next Thanksgiving. Now, I will admit I'd pick another week to have light crowds, but I just can't take the kids out of school for a week, so this is the only way it works for us. We loved it, though. Go for it and make an ADR, but just kinda go with the flow on that day. You'll love it!

We were there at Thanksgiving 2010 and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Crowd Calendars put it at a 10, but I felt that Star Wars Weekend was worse.
I just wouldn't go to the Magic Kingdom on Thanksgiving b/c everyone else goes there. We hit up Epcot and other than the usual Soarin issue, there weren't any big lines.

And with that said, we are headed back November 15-25 this year. Here's to hoping that tradition holds on free dining as long as you arrive the Thursday before Thansgiving. :worship:

How neat that you were there at the same time. Maybe we crossed paths at Epcot! Did you stay at POR by any chance? We had absolutely NO idea about the Free Dining if we'd have checked in 2 days sooner last time. If we already have our ressies booked, checking in on Saturday, 11/17 and they come out with Free Dining where you'd need to be checked in by Thursday, 11/15, could we just call and change our check-in date and get the Free Dining? :confused3 I could definitely live with my kids missing 2 days of school and would LOVE 2 extra days at Disney. However, if we couldn't get the Free Dining, we certainly couldn't afford another 2 days.....

I understand about the discount . I keep calling to see if I have a pin . The Cm asked if i wanted to know anything else I said no he asked if that was what the last calls had been for. I replied yes he joked because I had called 16 times. I said release free dinning or give me a pin and I will stop calling.:rolleyes1 I would love to go the week after thanksgiving Dh can't get vacation deer season here . So we are going mid Nov the kids schools have in-service days so we will only miss 3 days and the school is great about it. Good luck .

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: You're my idol!

I would like everyones thoughts on these....its hard because we will have 9 adults(one is 13 so techniqually a 'disney adult' ) and 2 kids. We are not fancy ppl, we enjoy burgers and steak. We also love seafood. I think I have the right mix of Character meals and sit-down(non character) meals.....anything I should change?

Sounds good, but I also think it's too much time. I like that you picked Narcoossees and CRT now.

" Deluxe is definitely the way to go to impress someone! After always staying in mods (mainly POR), the first time we stayed in a deluxe- AKL, happened to be on a business trip (yep, i looked to see if any Disney hotels were on the approved list!)----DH was hooked. He was like, why did we ever stay anywhere else? LOL! So that led us to buy DVC so we can always stay deluxe now! Can't wait to hear what plans you have!!!:wizard: "

We're staying at Yacht Club for our first stay in a deluxe! We're so excited and esp. about being able to walk to Epcot, our favorite park! So hoping for Free Dining, though.

WELCOME to all the newcomers! Hope everyone has a great night!:cloud9:

Thank you everyone! I am super excited as I've only stayed at the mods in the past. We are really really hoping for Free Dining as well - do you think we will have to wait until August to hear about Fall/Winter FD dates??

Threeangels - what made you decide on the Yacht Club over the Beach Club? Just curious. We didn't even really consider both, we just chose the beach club lol but I would love to hear what made you chose YC!

I don't think it was you. I had trouble yesterday and last night also. The boards were sooooo slow. I finally just gave up. Glad you were able to post tonight!

~~~~~
Well, the maker of the cute hipsters I posted about earlier got back with me. She has an etsy shop, but her prices, while priced appropriately for the amount of detail she does, is a bit out of my price range. Instead I found a pattern online for a similar bag. I'm going to attempt to make one myself minus the applique. I'm not even sure if I'm going to do it Disney related. I think it will be perfect for DD to carry her autograph book around in Disney. Now I just have to find a backpack or something for DS.
Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes
mommyof3....I have one question about your meal plans....... On the days that you have 3 TS meals in one day. Is this possibly to much time in resturants for your children?
I am not sure...we will have an early breakfast, then a lunch about 1230 then dinner about 7. I figure by the end of the week they will be tired anyway like usual. It should be fine...its not set in stone yet...so many good places to eat :faint:
:cheer2::cheer2: We FINALLY got it all figured out! Only one signature ADR but thats fine...the trip is all about the kiddos anyway!!! So excited the hard part is done! I have been trying to figure out what places to eat at in Epcot other than Coral Reef.....so we finally settledd on just doing CS for lunch that day and Via Napoli for dinner....you are right though guys...too much food :faint: :sick: but this way, we have 3 sitdowns on DHS-which isnt a big park anyway- and on our 2nd MK day, which will be a slow day anyway..... so this way everybody gets the places they want :banana:
Now if only my passporter would get here:headache:
Good Morning! I haven't booked yet. I must admit the pricing is a bit scarey. I'm considering Wilderness Lodge, Carribean, and Art of Animation for 10 nights - I'm taking my 4 year old son and treating my Mom (she has not been there since 1978!). I have never stayed on property, my son has never been there and the last time my Mom was there only Magic Kingdom exsisted. So I'm hoping for a nice long trip Nov. 8-18 where we can take our time and see everything.
I want to start at the beginning and read this whole conversation I see there is much for me to learn. Thank you for the welcome and in advance for all the knowledge you're sharing.
OH and I"m on what I'm calling my Disney Diet so I'm in better shape to have the most fun possible!
The pricing is a bit steep, but hopefully some discount codes will come out in a few months. :goodvibes
Your DS is going to love it! 10 days is awesome!! We will be there for 8 full days, and I'm so excited! Last time we were there for 5 days, and it was just too short.
I'm on a Disney Diet too!! Check out the Biggest Loser thread link below for some inspiration! You're welcome to join. It's nice to know a lot of people are working for the same goal. ;)
I just scared my dh last night with a trip staying at POR for only 7 nights :sick: hope he doesn't change his mind!
:rotfl2: My DH doesn't even know how much ours is costing, and I plan to keep it that way. ;) Of course, he won't ask because deep down he doesn't want to know. He just knows I have a vacation savings account that I have money go into each month and that pays for all of our vacations. He's happy taking a back seat and letting me deal with all that. ;)
I'm hoping to afford 10 nights - anyway that is what I am planning for. :goodvibes How do you get a PIN??? I sent away for the DVD last year and again this week. Do they show up in emails, in the regular mail? I'm afraid I may have missed something YIKES :confused3
I see many are staying at POR what about Caribbean? Any advise for which would be best for 3 people, one is a seinor citizen who has issues with walking to far and one is a very energetic boy who will nearly be 5?
POR is big and so is Carribean...if you dont want a BIG resort maybe POFQ? I love PORWe stayed only oce for 3 days but it is soooo nice!!!! PIN's can come in email form, snail mail for or be a General Public code....either of which I am hoping for :cheer2:
Our first couple of trips we did Sun-Sat.......now I'm kind of obsessed with making sure we are there at least 8 park days.....and now I'm obsessed with making sure they are full park days, so I'm wanting to add extra nights to the beginning and end which starts bumping up the price, especially when the rooms are $200 a night!!! Oh well at least if free dining all 5 of us will be in dining heaven :)
