:welcome: Have you ever thought about maybe POR or a resort with a trundle bed? I will add you to the list. I hope we get FD too! I do know what you mean about Disney 'adults' not eating alot. My DD will be 13 this trip and may only eat enough to justify the adult cost at half our TS ADR's

We've stayed at POR before and liked it, but for less money, we can get a 3 BR/3 BA townhouse with its own splash pool at Windsor Hills. We always have our car, and the drive to the parks is so easy from there. So unless there's FD, or a great room discount, we'll probably do offsite again. But, that's why I joined this thread and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for those codes!

Good morning all! :goodvibes I have been busy working on our taxes and our ADR's! I think I have them pretty much locked down. Debating on Fultons Crab House(i think its called) or swapping it out for HDDR OR Narcoossee's. Since we are doing Cape May clam bake, I dont wanna do too many seafood places. Esp with crab stuff lol since we live near Baltimore, crabs are not scarce lol

We did Hollywood Vine & Dine. We saw Oso, June and Leo, but I heard the Little Einsteins are no longer appearing. Jake from the Neverland Pirates is appearing instead.

Ooh! This may put Hollywood and Vine on our radar. We were never interested before, but my little one loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates! Then we can do an early ADR and dash over to TSM.

Now I'm heading over to make my first note on my planning sheet! Let the planning begin... Thanks for the inspiration!

Mmmmm... crabs sound so good. Hoping we have a good season this year! We try not to eat a seafood restaurants when we travel. We are usually disappointed because it's never as good as what we can get at home. But I have been considering Cape May's clam bake. I think it will have to wait for another trip.

That's exactly what we did! Then we jumped in line to meet Woody & Buzz! It was the perfect way to start the day. :thumbsup2

Joining in! We hope to travel to Disney 11/3-10.

Our last trip was Dec 2011!:goodvibes

Right now we are trying to decide between 3 resorts:
Caribbean Beach (Pirate Room)-stayed there in 2009
Port Orleans Riverside (Princess Room)
Art of Animation

I am hoping for a free QS pin for Mods, but I'll take what we can get. I really don't want to do the regular dining plan, it just overwhelmed us last time. Esp with F&W we won't need all the food! We will probably do one table service-LOVED Askershus last year!

Thanks for letting me join in!

We are booked at POR Nov 10- 17. This is our 3rd trip. I am so excited :cool1:. I can't wait to see the parks decorated or Christmas. I am hoping for free dining. I know these dates are at the end of Jersey week, have they been blacked out for free dining in the past?

My dh is trying to talk me into staying for Thanksgiving day....what do you all think? I just am worried about the crowds.....but his buddy told him they were at MK last Thanksgiving and the crowds weren't bad, dunno hard to believe

We were there at Thanksgiving 2010 and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Crowd Calendars put it at a 10, but I felt that Star Wars Weekend was worse.
I just wouldn't go to the Magic Kingdom on Thanksgiving b/c everyone else goes there. We hit up Epcot and other than the usual Soarin issue, there weren't any big lines.

And with that said, we are headed back November 15-25 this year. Here's to hoping that tradition holds on free dining as long as you arrive the Thursday before Thansgiving. :worship:

:welcome: They have been blacked out because of Veterans day
We were going to go that time but we changed our dates. I cant wait to see the parks either!!!! I am also hoping for FD :goodvibes

but what is his definition of werent bad? His might be diff than yours. I would stay-just maybe do a park early in the day. Do you have hoppers? Maybe you could go to a diff park later if it got busy :goodvibes

Yeah I'm not sure.......they even said they got into Crystal Palace with no problems(meaning they didn't have a ressie) Just seems to good to be true :confused3 Dh says who cares if it is crowded, we've seen it all and done it all :rotfl: he says I'm too gunho and have to do and see everything several times, he's probably right, I need to learn to relax more.....I just really do not like large large crowds, especially with a lil one in tow, but he'll be 5 then so maybe it won't be as bad as our last trip, we went 3rd wk of Sept, which is supposed to be lower crowds and when we've been before it always had been, but it was crazy last time, the waits were avg 45+ minutes and it was like walking thru jello just crammed, we even missed Fantasmic because both lines(their was two shows one night) were insanely long hours before show time, I was so so so dissapointed on that one :(

We went the same time you did in 2010 we also stayed at ASMO. I also thought it was the most crowed I had ever seen it in Sept
. We are praying for free dinning we are going Nov 9th - 18th at Por . I would love to upgrade but can only do this with free dinning. I am a wreck as we have never been in Nov and not sure what I need and crowd levels.

We are also doing POR, but will only go if free dining, otherwise we'll be staying offsite, we just can't afford POR and the cost of food for a whole week :( The only reason I'm struggling with Thanksgiving day and after is I'm worried it will be too crowded, and I hate for the kids to miss too much school if we do too much of the week before thanksgiving week, with my oldest starting highschool....but I really would like 8 almost full days in the parks

I understand about the discount . I keep calling to see if I have a pin . The Cm asked if i wanted to know anything else I said no he asked if that was what the last calls had been for. I replied yes he joked because I had called 16 times. I said release free dinning or give me a pin and I will stop calling.:rolleyes1 I would love to go the week after thanksgiving Dh can't get vacation deer season here . So we are going mid Nov the kids schools have in-service days so we will only miss 3 days and the school is great about it. Good luck .

The decorations are so beautiful! You're going to love it! :lovestruc

I think if you go on a holiday, you need to go for the experience of being there. I would love to be in Disney on Christmas! I would have ADRs for any meals you want, and just go in with the mindset of relaxing and enjoying the day - no agenda for day. I think when someone has a plan and it doesn't work out is when the frustration begins. Be at the park before rope drop, see a few attractions, have a nice lunch, then head back to your resort for a relaxing afternoon, or maybe go for a round of putt putt golf, or explore a different resort like the boardwalk or Poly. I would sooo do it!!

We will be there around the same time. I expect the weekends to be crowded, and the weekdays to be very low crowds. Just plan accordingly and you'll be fine. :) As for what you need, are you referring to packing? If so, pack for layers. Even though it's Florida, it can get very cold, especially in the evenings. To be safe, you'll need everything from t-shirts and shorts to warm jackets and jeans. :thumbsup2 Hope this helps. :goodvibes

This is what we are hoping on also. I will have to take the kids out for 3 or 4 days. We are normally summer visitors but we just can't take the heat anymore. I don't like taking them out but we've been dreaming of seeing it at Christmas and I hear the decorations come down pretty quick after New Years so this is the best we can do. I just really need FD with a family of 6 to make it affordable or we won't eat much at Disney which will break my hubby heart lol.

The last couple years FD has been offered. Do you know which dates you are looking at?

HI fellow Nov 2012 Disers! :)
Thanks for our opinion on the dining plan. Yeah. I feel pretty much the same too. Not against the DP, just trying to justify getting it or not. I doubt I'll consider paying for it. But if it is offered free, I'll take it over a room only discount, UNLESS the room discount is a good one - 30% or so.
That being said, we have some months before the general public PINs are released. My TA tried calling several times to check for PINs that may be attached to my reservation. No luck. :sad2: So... the wait continues.
