So instead of trying to loose weight, you should be trying to add inches.
I wish I could add inches!!!
I like this theory!! It's not that I'm Pooh sized that is the problem it's my gnome-like height that is the problem.
I've been having the same problem about the DIS being slow. When it is, I shut down the Internet Explorer and re-open it. When I do that, the DIS seems to go at a normal speed.
This is exactly what I was planning on doing. Hopefully, they will give us more information before our 180+ out days.
Honestly, it's more of a pain than anything. Traffic is terrible and we don't leave the house unless we have no other option.
Well, I'm not going out. I'm not allowed to do anything, per doctor's orders. I have really bad high blood pressure that has not been controlled since 1. my doctor closed his practice and became a hospitalist and 2. my DH lost his job and with it our health insurance. Well I finally found a doctor that doesn't take insurance and I really liked him. When he took my blood pressure the first time I was standing up and it was 205/130. He honestly told me that if I had insurance, he would send me to the ER and they would admit me for a couple of day. Since I don't have insurance, they would just give me a pill and send me home. Then he took my blood pressure while I was sitting down and it was only 160/115. Next was the blood work, and it was a good thing he didn't take my blood pressure at this point. This guy was so amazing I wanted to hug and kiss him. It's usually hard enough to get blood out of my arm with a butterfly needle. This doctor got it in my hand, with one stick, and it just hurt a little. He did an EKG, which he didn't charge me for (should have been an additional $40). When he looked at the EKG he said, "well you haven't done any damage to your heart yet". He is going to be in the office for about an hour tomorrow and wants to see me to check my blood pressure. He sent me to a pharmacy down the road to pick up 2 meds. All together, we only spent $99 ($35 for office visit, $50 for blood work, $14 for meds). The doctor doesn't want me doinig anything until he can see me tomorrow. Then once my blood pressure is stable, he wants me to walk 45 minutes a day 3 times a week.
A it sucks not having insurance but I didnt either for the last 10 yrs of our marriage. I hope you are ok. My DH/and my dad had high blood pressure and your dr is right, exercise is the key with a healthy diet. Maybe in a few months, you can get off of the meds. GL today and plz let us know. Ill be thinking about you!!!
