Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes
Do any of ya'll take a over the door shoe holder or any hanging shelves to help you stay better organized?

I take the shoe holder and I have found that it really helps.

Speaking of discounts. I love it when they are released. Not just for the discounts themselves. But the fun of actually getting a code and having it applied. Then all the happy chatter on the Dis about it. :thumbsup2

So our November trip is a surprise BUT Dh and I have been talking and I am on the fence about this: I was thinking about giving the girls the Disney trip for Christmas. I  last Oct trip because we did a Disney movie night every Friday and we counted down on a specially made count down calandar. It was fun and I think I will miss that. I wont tell them specifics like who else is going(DBro, Ddad, Dmom, DGrandmom, Dpop pop0 OR that we are staying in POR royal rooms. What do you think?

I KNOW its early BUT I am getting ready! I have listed 2 new catagories on the FIRST page- Current Promos offered (and their dates) and MVMCP(Im going to put the dates when they are released)

Hi all! Looks like the Nov 2012 group is one of the most active ones of all the 2012 groups!!

I finally managed to make our booking for Universal Studios. Will be heading there immediately after our Disney trip. So, we'll be going over to the 'dark side'!:rotfl: Spending several nights there before returning home. So exciting!! It'll be our 1st time at Universal Studios Orlando! But of course, Disney will always have a special place in our hearts!

Yes it does!!! And that is WONDERFUL!
Iv always wanted to go to US but I wanna wait til youngest DD is older

mommyof3princess27,
Yeah. I know what you mean. The rides at US might be considered more 'thrilling' and less kid-friendly. But, I have a feeling nothing's gonna beat Disney. Especially during the holiday season!

I didn't last time because we had connecting room so we had two bathrooms, and didn't have a lot of clutter, but I probably will this time since there will be 5 of us in the room.

I have been thinking the same exact thing!!! :) We really want to tell the kids, but we're not going to, and the only reason we aren't is because DH's job is so unstable. He was out of work for year and just went back in August. If he gets laid off again, we will have to post-pone our trip. I would hate to disappoint the kids. We may tell them 30 days before the trip just to they can have fun with the countdown chain. I've already been working on their surprise!

I'd like to go to US one year too, but will wait til my kids are older. I'm sure you will have fun! :cool1:

Hope everyone is having a great Monday! :woohoo:

Nothing new to report today EXCEPT I found out that (you all probably know this) starting Oct 26th, disney now will require a cc to hold certain ressies so if there are no shows, they will charge you $10/pp

So apparently for me, if the other fam we are going with decide not to bring their mom, (14ppl instead of 15) we or SHE will have to pay $10

I am on the fence about this. Its good because itll stop the multiple booking ppl but in my case, if just one less person shows up, then I dont think they should charge you. IDK...wish Disney would make up their mind!

Looks like my 3 DD are getting their Disney trip for Christmas!! Yay!!! So itll make it easier, they can plan with me and earn Disney Dollars. I wont tell the surprises like BBB, MVMCP, or Hopefully the dessert party.

Hi all!

Thanks for the congrats for Daniel. We're so proud of him!:good vibes

Happy Mom-I stink at bowling. But it sure is fun and you did it for a great cause.

Momof3princess27-absolutely take DD13 to BBB if she wants. She'll love it. I didn't realize there was a max age. I could have sworn I've seen pics of ADULTS doing it. I think the Christmas surprise sounds great! Wow, they'll charge you $10 if your party is one person short?! I think that sounds crazy!

Smileybug-whenever we go and I look for an over-the-door shoe holder, I can never find a cheap one, so I pass. But we do have something that velcros to a closet rod. It's made for pairs of shoes and there are 10 compartments. There are 5 of us, so we each get 2 compartments/shelves of it. Works out well for us.

dazednconfused- yay about booking Universal! I'd love to see it, but can't take the time away from Disney...... I would LOVE to see the Harry Potter stuff, though!

See you tomorrow. Good night! :cloud9:

Apparently its a new age restriction :confused3 and yea they now charge you for missing ppl, and mising parties-I guess so ppl dont schedule more than one ressie. I personally will still book all the adr's i want.

I'm feel the same about the Be Our Guest restaurant!! :goodvibes And I'm hoping they don't make it a 2 credit meal on the DP.
I didn't even think about it being a 2 TS meal. I guess I will make a ADR schedule with and without it, so if it is open for our dates, I will be ready.

:cool1::dance3::cheer2::rotfl::cool2:Yayyyyy! He got it!!!! He did great! We're so proud of him. Thank you for your prayers. I know they helped! :little angel:
Congrats to your DS!!!

Count me in!!! Grand Gathering week after Thanksgiving!!!!:cool1:

We are hoping to do that at the end of our WDW trip. My DH is the only one in the family who has been to Uni. I want to go for the WWoHP. I just love Harry Potter!!

A Disney trip is a great gift. I'm still going to kee our trip a secret just in case something comes up.

I hope you start feeling better. :grouphug: Please keep us informed.
Thanks!! This weekend the bottom number of my blood pressure never got below 92, but luckily when my mil took it yesterday it was 116/84. WOO HOO!!!:banana:
The bad part is that I finally talked to the doctor yesterday about my blood work. He said that everything looked good, except my blood sugar and that was 130. Now I have to do this food-excercise-blood pressure-blood sugar journal. He wanted me to buy this book "Diabetes for Dummies", but I'm not. My dad, and most of his family have it. Plus right now, I am living with 2 diabetics, one of which is a nurse.

Double post. I posted right about the time they took the website down for a bit.

Now off to find a creative way to "give" them the trip!

I read on here some where that some one that was giving a WDW trip as a gift and they got a really big box, and put a bunch of Mickey balloons in it. When the bos was opened, they floated up in the air. At the end was a card about the trip. Or you could start a planning binder. On the front put the dates of the trip, and have that as the gift.

That would be kool! Im gonna look into that-THANKS!!!

I can totally understand them about if a whole party just doesn't show up, but for a missing person, that's just nuts! What if someone gets sick or something, and needs to stay behind at the resort? I just don't see the reasoning there.

That sounds like a good plan. Of course, now, we NEED to do the Candlelight Processional, so that is 2TS as well. Decisions, decisions! :confused3

Congrats to your DS!!!

Thank you!

That's great! Our whole family are (is?) HP fans!

So glad your BP calmed down. DRATS about the blood sugar, though. and prayers for you.

That sounds like a GREAT way to surprise them! I'd be all over that.

Anyone ever read a book called Mousejunkies? I'm reading it now and I LOVE it! I love reading anything about Disney World or Walt Disney, though.

This question is for any of you who have been to WDW in Nov, before....what is the tempurature usually like? We learned a LONG time ago, to pack for any weather during a trip (learned that the hard way, when we packed no shorts for a trip, and it was HOT the whole time! We had to buy some shorts as our first "souvenior". So, we'll probably bring shorts, pants, capris etc. But what is the norm? Will we be able to swim? Will we need a coat (spring/ fall/ winter) for MVMCP? What about a hat, mittens, sweater, sweatshirt? I saw photos from a friend, who was there last Dec and she had on all the above....but I also remember it being unreasonably cold...so I'm not sure if that's the norm or not. With MVMCP being so late at night, will it be extra cold regardless?

I have a LONG time to go before I need to even think of packing...but it's kinda fun buying a new shirt for the girls, and thinking, "ooh, this would be cute at Disney next year!" :thumbsup2

Hi,
we visited WDW late 2008 and late 2009. Right after Thanksgiving. There were some really COOL days. We attended MVMCP on an evening that was so cold, we left at shortly after 10p.m. because we were feeling quite uncomfortable. And we wore jackets and gloves too! Then again, there were days where simple capris and a light cotton top would do. In 2009, I saw some teens waiting in line for the bus to take them to the water parks. So, I guess we have to be prepared for any kind of weather. It rained both times we were there. It did make things a little miserable in 2008 (we were at Epcot). It rained the entire day. But the upside was, no lines for any of the good rides!! This included Soarin', Mission Space and Test Track. We walked right in and got on the rides almost immediately. Most of the time, we wore jeans. We always made sure to bring along ponchos and jackets. So of course, we had our backpacks with us. It would be wonderful it we could enjoy the parks without our backpacks, but we're practical people and we want to enjoy Disney World no matter what the weather is like!:yay:
