There. I feel a bit productive now. And, after reading what I posted before, I should clarify: I far prefer being with my beloved family to being alone, but when it's my day off and esp. after company just left, I relish my alone time, too. I did venture to the bank earlier, too, so I'm not being a total slug....

Well tomorrows the big day-well big to me...I find out if the insurance is going to cover my damaged basement and how much...not nearly as exciting as Disney but its all I have right now-looking forward to a complete house again :goodvibes

On another note, I was further tweeking my schedule for my 2012 trip and thought about something...what if we did an animal day first we make an early ADR at AK for TH and then we spend the day at AK then we go to DTD and eat dinner at T-REX!(Hope its not too scary for the kids-looks so neat though!) Then I tweeked our Water park day-we will spend the day at whatever water park is open then go to Cape May cafe then walk around the boardwalk in the evening.

Ha ha! You got your grocery shopping done and I'm on the DIS instead of doing my laundry! Friday is my day off work (well, usually) , so I should be washing, washing, washing, but here I sit. I like being alone, just the doggie and I, and hanging on the 'puter, but maybe I better get a load in or I'll be doing it all weekend.....:confused3

Yeah, but that is all I did.

I enjoy my quite time too. I need it. I get cranky without it.

I wish you lots of luck with the adjuster. I just can't imagine why you wouldn't be covered.

T-Rex is alot of fun. And the food is pretty good too. :thumbsup2 I realy don't think it would be to scary for them.

419 days and 14 hours until WDW!

This weekend we have a mini trip though. My parents are watching the kids and my husband and I are headed to Baltimore's Inner Harbor for the weekend. My sis and her DH are going as well. We are celebrating our b-days (sis has a 9/11 b-day and I'm 9/16 but we have a wedding to attend that night). It will be nice to have an adults only night. Wish it were Disney but I will take what I can get;)

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi all. I hope everyone is having a good day.:) I've been thinking about our next trip to WDW. Then again, when do I NOT think about our next trip to WDW?! Thinking about it has become a hobby of mine. I wonder how that happened? :rotfl:

Anyhoos, I'm quite confident that there will be a discount of some sort (FD or room discount) which we can all use during our travel period. But here's what has been bothering me... I doubt that Disney will offer a room discount of more than 20% for the value resorts. FD is great, but we aren't able to put away much food. Food portions at WDW are HUGE! And it seems that the cost of some of the character dining buffets have gone up.Think I read about it somewhere here on disboards. So, I've been crunching imaginary numbers and comparing them with different imaginary discount possibilities. And here's what I concluded...

Assuming that a 20% discount is offered for the values, we will be paying approximately the same amount if we decided to go with FD and upgrade from CS Dining Plan to a regular Dining Plan. Now, if we should decide against the upgrade, and also choose to have a few table service meals and pay OOP, we would still be paying about the same amount. Isn't that a hoot? Anyway I try to tweak it, it comes to the approximately the same amount!! Whether it's a 20% room discount plus the OOP amount we'll be spending on all our meals or FD with and upgrade of dining plan or FD with no upgrade but some OOP for table service meals! So to make a long story short, I'm still just as confused as before. Maybe even more so now. Am I the only crazy one here with this problem??

Believe me you are not alone. I'm just trying to decide if I want to admit to the crazy part. :rotfl:

Thats funny...I never though of it that way but you are right. For our short trip in Dec, DH was offered a PIN for 30% a mod or 35% delux...crunched the numbers and it worked out that FD WAS $200 cheaper than the room only code. I am just hoping for FD next NOV. If we are affered FD and its offered for the time we are staying, we dont have to cut a day but if it starts on the sunday, we have to cut that day. I want an 8 day vacation at WDW! But that one day isnt worth the value of FD, which would save my GG group a ton of $$ cuz all the rooms are filled to the fullest with ppl. Guess its a waiting game and hoping for some Disney :wizard: or :tinker:

As of right now, we will be paying oop for T-Rex. I know its not on the DDP but I think our schedule is starting to 'click' now for me. I just need to figure out which day MVMCP will fit. DO we do it on the MK day? or do we do it on the last night we are there which also happens to be a MK day? Or on the Water park day? I think I am leaning towards our last night there...we can sleep in a little go to MK and do our fav rides, and go to 1900 PF for dinner then to the MVMCP. But then I stat thinking about Park Hoppers and what not. But with the ages of the children, I think one park a day is all they can handle lol
