Wondering where you have been. I love your user name. It makes me smile everytime I see it. :goodvibes
Thank you!! Your user name and siggy has the same effect on me. Any time I see a post by you, I watch Pooh go across the screen for several minutes.

Quick press the fast foward button so we can hurry up and see them soon. If next year's schedule is like this year's, we should be able to see the lights. I can't wait!! I mean I guess I have to, but I no wanna!! **crosses arms across chest and pouts**

When my daughter was a little girl Pooh was her favorite. Still is actually. :goodvibes

You know..... I really do believe that as long as we all keep talking and encouraging each other. This next year is probably going to go by fast. :thumbsup2

Happy Veteran's Day and 11.11.11 to you all!

My plan this weekend is to work on a souvenir piggy bank for the kiddo, we are rewarding him for doing chores without being asked.

Here's hoping it works. I told him if he is super good he could end up with more souvenir money than his daddy and I :goodvibes

I think I am becoming jealous of anyone with a ticker that is less than mine. :upsidedow

Hi all!

Yup. We are 1 year away from our Disney vacation! I'm still beyond the 365-day mark, though. But I'm getting there! I keep reading about 'pin codes' and I'm wondering if they are different from the usual promotions that Disney offers via the WDW website. I understand that these 'pins' are exclusive to those who receive them through email and that it's a completely random thing. So my questions: Has anyone here received one? How do they work?:confused3

Morning all!!!! Hope you have a great day-my you have been chatty! I think its because everyone will soon be at ther one year mark-we are excited!

mommyof3.......What are you doing up so early on a Saturday morning? :)

You are right about being excited about the one year mark. I NEED it to get here. :rotfl2:If it doesn't soon get here I am going to have myself talked into the most expensive trip ever. :rotfl::confused3 HELP!!:lmao:

I have never gotten a pin and I have done everything possible to set myself up for getting one. :confused3

I got a pin earlier this year for 20% off value resorts and was able to use it for one whole entire day because it did not stack with the free dining which clearly saved us more, lol.

This is part of the reason we go through a TA. She looks out for new discounts instead of us waiting and praying for a pin code. We have signed up for just about everything as well and buy tons of crap from Disney online. (We have a ton of those designer dolls. 16 of them, I believe)

Looks like business is picking up here, so regardless of a discount, I should have a nice chunk to add. I don't coupon because I have a two year old tasmanian devil, so my teeny tiny crafting business is what gets us through. It's paid for 10% of the trip thus far and we still aren't into the holiday rush time yet.

UGH! Most of you can probably relate to my ridiculous feeling of YUCK this morning...

So its Jersey week in NJ meaning the kids had Thurs and Fri off of school (thus the reason Disney is busy this week with Jersey folks) for teacher's conventions. So the plan was to ship the 3 kids to Grandmas for the night and have date day/night with hubby. Much needed I should say. We haven't done this in a very long time.

Well hubby wakes up SCREAMING in pain. It was awful. Needless to say, we got our date day/night in the HOSPITAL. We get there at 9:20. Hubby has a kidney stone. OUCH! At 11ish I decide to head upstairs and go visit my 42 year old aunt who had open heart surgery this week. I get in the room, sit down for two seconds while the nurse is taking care of her, and I PASS OUT! Apparently I just would NOT come to until they used the smelling salts. Now I am in the ER since its code purple and they must check me over. I didn't get out until 8:30 last night!

Today I am nauseaus and light headed and DH is in pain. I am praying that my mother in law doesn't bring the kids back this morning but waits until dinner time at least. Isn't that awful. I miss them like heck but my couch sure looks good today!

OH MY!! Did they figure out what is going on with you? You and your family are in my prayers. I know you miss your kids......But here is to hoping your MIL keeps them until tomorrow. :wizard:

They did a TON of tests on my heart and everything was fine, which is great. I'm young (34) but heart disease runs in the family so its good to know that I am a-ok.

I'm not sure what really is the cause. My blood pressure was just low all day so I am assuming that its low today too. Weird!

And on to more fun topics LOL! Now that we are considering September instead of November for our trip. In order to make that happen, we would have to fly mid week to mid week. If we went in November, we could drive since we'd have the extra days off of school/work to get down there, but if we went Sept, we wouldn't.

So now that I am looking into airfare, the cheaper airlines don't have their September rates out yet. This stinks. I want to book like yesterday!!!!!!!

Anyone have a favorite airline??? We booked JetBlue last time and it was fine, but I hear Southwest is even cheaper. Cheaper is better for us :)

Continental is giving us a price of $1,152....which isn't TOO bad, but since we were going to drive, I hate paying that!

Wow! That certainly is a lot to deal with. I hope everyone is feeling better soon.

I am assuming you fly out of EWR, right? If so, flying Southwest would involve stops. I think your non-stop choices are Continental and Jet Blue. Jet Blue will probably not extend their schedule for a month or two as I believe they just extended through the beginning of Spetember.

I can fly out of Philly as well. Its about 15-20 mins longer for me, no big deal. Would you choose Continental, JetBlue or Southwest? I really don't care about anything other than price! LOL Oh yeah and I don't want to pay for my first luggage. That would be a pain!

CO charges baggage fees. Southwest and Jet Blue do not. Southwest does not pre-assign seats (have to do online check in at exactly 24 hours prior to get the earliest boarding then choose seats upon boarding). Jet Blue and Continental allow you to pre-assign your seats. CO charges for certain seats that have extra legroom but otherwise the seat assignments are free. The average cost for non-stop flights between PHL and MCO is $220.00 per ticket. Southwest and Jet Blue are somewhat easier to make changes to if need be. Sometimes you can get them lower and sometimes more but that's the average. It's probably about the same from EWR.

Personally, I will probably be flying US out of PHL because I have Dividend Miles. I could also use Spirit out of ACY and although ACY is a small convenient airport for us I despise Spirit Air so it would have to be a ginormous savings for me to put my family on that airline.

Is $220 a ticket for CO or SW or JB? I just got a quote of $1,152 for Continental out of Newark and I am not sure I can beat that with JB or SW. Haven't flown in two years, I don't remember what our savings was with JB over CO. At that time, I was flying with an allergic child who could only fly JB (Continental wouldn't stop serving peanuts on their flight while JetBlue would).

But looking at CO's luggage, that alone would bring up our fees quite a bit as we have 5 bags to check!

$220.00 is an average ticket cost (including taxes) for non-stop flights between PHL and MCO. The lower end being around $200/tkt and the higher end being around $250/tkt. I believe non-stop flights out EWR will be similar.
