Tell me, since we have gotten the SW credit card, and we will be flying Southwest, Has anyone ever flown with them? We always fly Airtran and I hope SW offers nonstop flights to Orlando in the morning hours. AND can we lets say fly Airtran on the way down to get a morning nonstop flight and Southwest on the way back?

It only lets me go up through 11/12 though if you click one of those days in Nov, it lists hours per park through the 16th. It seems to match the TA hours though, I do not see any differences yet

Now all we need is MVMCP dates and ticket prices, as I am ready to buy!

Click on the last date available on the calendar. You'll see hours for 10 days out.

I agree...need those MVMCP dates!!! I soooo want one on November 7. I doesn't look like it will happen, but a girl can hope :santa:

Touring Plans had that the MVMCP will be held on Nov 6,7,9 & 12.

When we went during Thanksgiving during 2003, we made ADR's late and did not get to eat where we originally wanted, Liberty Tree Cavern. Instead, we had Thanksgiving dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge and ended up having a fabulous time and meal. I think this worked out really well because we had dinner at Liberty Tree Cavern another day in the week and still enjoyed the same meal that we would have on Thanksgiving due to their menu.

What kind of meal did they serve Thanksgiving? I have thought about going to this place.

Currently, my family of four, 2 adults and 2 teenagers (technically adults per Disney standards), are not able to get the DDP because we have a AAA room only discount. I would love to add the DDP, but I cannot unless I am able to take advantage or a public discount during our travel dates or am lucky enough to get a PIN code. I have already done the math and the DDP would save us $300-$400, so I am really hoping to be able to add this. I did find out that I can get the dining plan if I book my vacation through AAA, but I am nervous about locking my reservation in with AAA vs. Disney because AAA charges $25 to book the vacation for us, $200 for any changes that need to be made, and their quote for the DDP was slightly higher than what I figured it would be when getting a quote online from Disney.

I was looking into joining AAA, but I hadn't heard about their fees. I'm not sure it would be worth it to book through them... at least not for me. I seem to make a lot of changes. I've already changed our resort 4 times. Who knows where we will end up! :rotfl:

Park hours through November 21 seem to be up on WDW site! :hyper:

Wooohooo! :cool1:

Okay...as everyone...well any one who was paying attention to my posts...LOL...knows that I was freaking out about coming during Thanksgiving. My family and I have discussed it and I think we are going to move our trip to November 8-16. Staying still in a 1br OKW villa...but I feel much better about it. My college age daughter will have her trip cut a little but still be able to spend 5 days there...and with the lower crowd levels...I think see just as much OR MORE....so happiness all around!!!! :rotfl:

Still have to make the actual change...but that is what I'm doing....I think!!!:lmao:

I think that is a wonderful decision. :thumbsup2 You and your family will have a great time, and after Veteran's Day, the crowd levels should be pretty low. We will be there around the same time.

I almost always fly Southwest, and I love it. It's my preferred airline...always has been. Be sure you do early online check in at the exact 24 hour mark prior to your flight time. Seats are not assigned so if you want to be try to sit by each other, it's important to check in early. SW boards in the order people check in so the ones who check in earliest get 1st choice of seats. Be flexible. You might have sit with one child, and your DH sit by another child. If you really don't want to do that, you can pay extra (cash) for early bird check-in. I think it is $10 per flight, per person, but it automatically checks you in at 36 hours prior to your flight. You can go to SW website for more info, but from my research if you check in yourself at 24 hours, you should be ok. I will admit. I'm a little nervous about flying with my DD in July. It's her first flight, and I just want to make sure we get to sit next to each other.

Yes, you can fly back on SW. SW books by the flight (one way) so you can choose to book round trip or one way. I hope your experience with SW is as wonderful as mine.

I know this is slightly :offtopic: BUT it does concern those of us planning trips in November...

I'm not sure if you guys have heard yet or not, but Test Track is now not slated to re-open until....December 1 :scared1: .... :scared1: This news makes me  :sad2:

Nothing comes out this far away. Usually about August. Some ppl have been getting free QSDP and other ppl get the reg DP but I think the general public discount has been reg dining plan. Yes it is a good idea to book the rooms now. What about a value resort?

They could go value but if free dining at mods is the regular plan I think they would rather do that so they can do character meals. I suppose I could look into the cost of upgrading does anyone know how much that is?

Do we know dates for pop Warner or where they will stay? Last November we stayed at POR and luckily they werent there. If my friends go to value I'm sure they would want to avoid the pop crowds.

So it looks like the only time that we can go this year is during Thanksgiving week! Argh! Anyone got any good advice?

It would be the difference between QSDP & Reg DP. I don't have the figures off hand, but say QS was 20 and DP was 30, you'd have to pay the 10 difference.

I hope I explained that ok!:goodvibes

We've gone that week twice in the past, and will be going again this year. We try to get to the parks early and use a touring plan, and we've never been bothered by crowds. We really love going at that time of year!

The year we went, the meal was served family style, similar to their skillet option, but included turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and sweet-potato fries. I think there were other meats included in addition to the turkey, but it has been so long that I cannot remember the precise menu. I think many restaurants modify their menu to offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving day.

I feel so warm and fuzzy :goodvibes. It's a flyer with a board game theme. And it's for my dates! It's 30% off rooms at value, moderate or AKL/WL for 11/1-11/16 or 11/24-11/30.

I know the codes seem to go out to random people, but I ordered park maps and put on the form that we were going in November. I also just cancelled my June trip so I suspect all that added up to get me on the list. Though I was hoping for free dining, at least I know I'll get something.

Contemplating if maybe I should book a trip and then cancel it :lmao: what we will do for a PIN!:rotfl2:

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

Regular dining plan is now right at 50. Upgrade cost for adults is 16 and some change (per person per night).

Today my oldest child becomes a Disney Adult. It just occurred to me that I was planning on buying her a child's ticket, so I'm glad I haven't gotten hers yet!

I'm really bummed about this! My dd is a big chicken when it comes to ANY rides and she was planning to ride it for the first time!
