November 2011 Planning Thread CLOSED: See new planning thread

I'm jumping on board here! We are planning a stay at the Polynesian at the Ned of Novemeber. We Have to nail the days down but I'm thinking 11/27-12/4.

We'll be traveling with our two sons who will be 7 and just 2 at travel time.

Ok, so we were going to go Nov 19th-26th 2011 for Thanksgiving week, but when the packages came out the other day I looked at the resort rates a little closer. If we change and go from the saturday after Thanksgiving to that following Saturday, then it would save us $190 for our room. If we do that then we could use that money for something else or we could stay another night and still be saving $65. I think I am going to try and talk the crew into staying another night, but do you think this would be better. I kind of want to go Thanksgiving week, just because its a holiday and wanted to be there for that, but I have heard it is so crowded that week. All the Christmas decorations would definately be up then and wouldn't have to deal with an over abundance of people. Does this sound like a good plan? If we go for 9 days, I'm thinking getting there the Fri after Thanksgiving and still leaving on the following Saturday.

I was just on disney.com playing around with vacation packages for our vacay next Nov.....my question - so when do you actually book? Like, do you just book now and then when deals come out (specials like free dining plans, get a PIN e-mailed, etc.) - can you amend your package? Or no. Once you book - that's the price you pay!

We arrived on Thanksgiving day of '09 and stayed thur the following Friday. It was GREAT:thumbsup2. It was busy T-day thru that Saturday, but from Sunday on it's was pretty light as far as crowds. With the right planning Thanksgiving weekend isn't really all that bad and 9 days is perfect:thumbsup2, it lets you have some "down time" from the parks.
We are planning on Thanksgiving day 2011 thru 12/3/2100:woohoo: I can't wait, I only wish we were going This Thanksgiving too.

Count me in! We are planning to go November 13-20th with me, DH, DS6 (will be his 4th trip), and DD18 months (she will be almost 3 and on her first trip). My DM, her boyfriend, and his DS14 (also his first trip) will be joining us so we are probably going to try to rent points to get a 2 BR villa at either the Beach Club or Bay Lake Towers...can't decide right now! I will be heading down a couple days early for a work conference and they will then fly down to meet me. My DH thinks I am nuts for planning this far ahead but I just can't help it!! :cool1:

Add me to the list. Planning on going 2nd to 3rd week in november. Want to catch warm weather, some xmas decorations, and hopefully free dining. Thinking of making a ressie in hopes of the free dining. Here's to hoping.

list is updated!

I read the rumor of 2011 discounts possibly coming out tomorrow. Hopefully they will include November!!

I am wondering the same thing. I kind of think they will since there was nothing really offered past the free dining ending in September. I hope its Free Dining extension or a huge room discount. More for the free dining though. I think I am going to go ahead and book the room this week and then just hope for something good later. Here's hoping!

The free dining announcement was kind of bittersweet for me today. Kind of wish they had the nov. dates included but kind of glad because I don't have my dates yet. Was thinking of going nov 5 thru 12 (1st choice) or nov 8 thru 15. But we want to see some xmas decorations, so probably won't be sure of what to expect till they announce the 1st day for the MVMCP. Any ideas? suggestions?:confused3

woohoo! :cool1: so happy to see i'm in good company ... dh is already rolling his eyes every time i mention something about disney!

we're going for our 2nd family trip from nov. 11-19, 2011. :goodvibes

our first trip was in sept 2009, and we stayed at ASMu. right now, we're booked at POP but i'm still contemplating an upgrade to POFQ since i really want to stay there -- but i'm pretty sure my kids will like POP better.

To the PP,

We stayed at POFQ for one night at the end of our last stay (WL was full for the last night and we wanted to extend) and my DS6 loved it. The pool was nice and he loved the dragon slide. The grounds are also really pretty. So, I say go for it and your kids will be happy....it's Disney after all!

Multi-Generation trip! Nov 18-26. :cool1:
Me, DD, DGD, SIL :hippie:
This will be SIL's first time to stay on site. We have 2 rooms at POP so we'll each have our own bed & 2 bathrooms to share. Free Dining upgraded to DDP! Life is Good.

We changed our dates. We'll be there Oct 30 - Nov-11, and I think we've settled on the Polynesian. It'll be my Mom's birthday trip! "We" consist of me, my Mom and my daughter, who will be 12 by then.

We've never been to Disney during this time of year. What can you tell me about MVMCP? When are tickets available? Do they have dates all through December? Do you have to leave the park and then be re-admitted? We'll be there 11/27-12/4.

Going Nov. 21-26 staying CR atrium level!! Whooohoooo! Celebrating daughter's 16th birthday.:cool1:

DH and I are going to CBR Nov 2 -9
