My rental car angels must be working overtime today! On mousesavers.com I found this BCD D454301 code for Budget. A SUV for $213.00 total! My dates are nov 18-25. Hope this helps someone else!
This is 100.00 less than the minivan I had for $302!

My total mini van with these codes was $302.55! This was better than my thrifty with $371.00!

You are not getting a weekly rate since you only will have the car 4 days and over a holiday to boot.

The price I got from Alamo for 11/23-11/27 is $210.59. I of course realize that this is only part of a week during a busy Thanksgiving holiday but I am still wondering if this is a good rate. What do those of you who have booked the same time period think? Thanks in advance for your insight.

What was your total with taxes? I need Nov 3-8 and the $85 in taxes bumped it back to $200 again. I know I will probably have to pay more than the $110 I paid last year, but $100 more for a compact seems a lot. I may have to really think about how much I need the car this trip.

I went ahead and reserved a compact with the BCD D454301 code and the muwz023 coupon. The coupon is listed with the code, but I don't see it anywhere else. Total cost (before coupon) is $186.42. I'm not thrilled with that price, but am starting to worry, so it's better than nothing I guess.

I tired Priceline a few weeks ago and the $14 a day wasn't working.

Has anyone been able to use an additional coupon box to get an even lower rate? My reservation says coupon: no. I'm thinking there might be a further discount.

I'm hoping too ! I know for my May trip the rates were sky high like they are now, and then about 2 weeks before my trip they dropped pretty much every other day until I ended up with a mid-size through Alamo for 8 days for a total of $83 ! and that included all taxes and fees

This seems to be the trend for the last few months with Alamo

OMG - We rented a car in May too. It was hysterical signing on everyday and watching the rate drop. We got a midsize from Alamo for 5 days for $60!
Hope the rate drops for Nov. We are going Thanksgiving week so I know it isn't going to go down too much...I already reserved through AAA and Hertz. It isn't a bad rate - $214 for a midsize for a week and a day. The extra day is a killer.

Yeah, the rates in May were fantastic. I had a midsize for 9 days from Alamo for $81.xx total! My Dh just called me the rental car wizard every time the price dropped. I have a compact for $231 booked for 11/26-12/1 with Alamo and that's the best price I can find so far. Really would like a midsize again, although it's just the 2 of us and the compact will do but hate the price.

I rode the plummeting Alamo roller coaster of rates in May, too. I must have made & cancelled a dozen reservations and finally ended up with a full-size car for 8 days at just around $100 (could have gotten $94 but we ended up doing the deal that got us Southwest points).

I'm afraid that experience has spoiled me for our Nov. 1-8 trip. I tried the Budget code above and can get an intermediate SUV for $149 (before $64 taxes) which is an awesome deal but there are only 3 of us so I'd rather get a smaller car for a cheaper price. How easy is it to cancel a reservation with Budget? Is it as easy as Alamo?

I think the "coupon: no" on your reservation means you don't have one. I have a 5 day also (11/3-8) for a compact with the coupon listed as MUWZ023. It said the coupon was good for the compact, so I chose that over the economy. My total is $186.42.

I would love to get some of those low rates from May! DD and I have been talking about skipping the car this trip since the rate is so much higher than we usually spend. Time to start logging in every day I guess.

OK thanks. I booked the weekly special with a mousesavers' "code", but I have heard that some use another coupon to get a further discount, I just don't have the coupon code to use. If anyone has a coupon can u please share it? Thanks. Keeping my fingers crossed that rates drop in Nov.
