Thank goodness I read these boards! I don't know what the point of having the Disney Visa is if they never actually tell you about the discounts. I saw something about a discount here and was on the phone with Disney immediately! We had already booked a package at POP and I am saving $396 on our 7 night vacation Nov.3-Nov.10. Yeah!

I just checked the Disney Visa web site and there is still nothing on the site about the code. Incredible!

I just got an email from Disney Rewards regarding the Fall deal. It's the same as the "Pin Code" deal that I received two weeks ago.

It does say "take advantage of this offer before it's released to the public on August 16th."

Okay, so I didn't realize that if you had booked your package previously via phone, rather than online, then you would not be able to apply for and use the visa immediately. So, we applied and can't use the visa until it's in our hands. If we had booked online, we would have automatically received the discount and wouldn't have had to wait. So, now I'm waiting on the general public codes as I don't know how long it will take to receive the card.

I've booked my package for the POP through AAA. I left her a message awhile ago to see if she can check into this for me but I'm wondering how hard will she actually work for me on this. Would I be better off calling Disney on my own? And I assume their system will show my current deal with AAA?

Unfortunately, you will not have access to your reservations. Travel Agent book through another system.

If you have not paid the deposit to AAA yet, you could cancel the AAA ressie and make a new one directly through Disney CRO.


Maybe your agent will get back to you soon - I might try to call her again.

So....Disney Visa discount on packages released in 8/13 (no avail. at the Poly for my dates); General Public released on 8/16.

So am I to assume that no AP rates will be released, or if so, pretty much everything will be sold out by that time?

For those dates I was told no value was available with the discount code, and for moderates only Riverside and Carribean Beach.. and for deluxe I didn't check GF or Poly but Contemporary, Beach and Yhact were not available, and Boardwalk was (I also didn't check Wilderness or Animal, Need to call back, I'd maybe be interested in Wildernes).

I went for specific dates in Nov. because it will be right after our cruise... I don't know about other dates. I only checked the Poly.

Sorry about the confusion, the $362 per adult is for a 5 day 6 night package.

Are these for the check in dates you listed? I was really hoping to get a discount on our POFQ stay. I was thinking if we needed to we could switch to CSR but it sounds like even that will not work. Guess I had better talk to DH tonight about switching to POR or CBR if that is all that will be available.

Sounds like it...because don't forget, the Pin Code on this deal came out about 2 weeks ago, which is when I had it applied to our reservation.

Too bad we can't stack since I got the pin and I'll be using my Disney Visa. Wouldn't that be a bargain?

I did already give them a deposit. Rats! I'll give her just a little longer and then I'll call her back. The lame part is that I was totally content with my price until I found out I might be able to get a better deal. Darn these bargains! My current package with AAA is 7 days and nights with park hopper and dining for $1742 for my DBF and I. Think the visa one will be much better than that?

Just be warned... if you are going during Jersey Week.... you might not get it..

Could have had it starting on the 9th...go figure... I get off the cruise on the 3rd...

For those of you who booked with a travel agent...

My agent told me that there were no longer any rooms available for my dates at WLR, but I found out differently when I called (there was one room w/a slightly upgraded view that quoted at $242 cheaper than my original ressie). She called Disney immediately and that last room was still available, so she made the adjustment.

Anyway, I spoke with a Disney rep who told me that while they are receiving cancellations all day, their system updates overnight, so the best time to call for your room is at 7 AM EST.

A word to those who booked with outside travel agents...if you call and find a better deal, you will not be able to put a hold on the package. Instead, you must get in touch with your agent ASAP and have the agent make the change. Next time I'm skipping the middle man and booking directly thru Disney (can't believe I was lured to the outside agent just because they offered a free 5x7 perk!).

Called and had my ressies updated........we had a woods view w/bunk beds booked at WL. We had to change to a regular room and it saved $464. My parents had a regular room booked and with the disney visa code they saved $350

It is worth it to me!!!!

11/17 - 11/24, 2 adults, 1 child, 5 day hoppers, dining plan

They didn't have anything at POP available, so I upgraded to CSR and saved $4!

Had my original reservation been for CSR, I would have saved $519 with the Visa discount, so I will just keep telling myself I saved $500 and that makes it all better!

Sounds like CSR was pretty empty or something since that's where a lot of us are upgrading to. Stayed at CSR last October and loved it!

That's what we were thinking of doing if an AP rate comes out. We're currently booked at POP for 11/20-11/25. If we can get a good AP rate we might try to move up to a mod. We've stayed at POFQ 3 times so we'd like to try something new. Which of the other mods would you recommend? Thanks

I thought for sure the CM would laugh and tell me I must be joking, but he didn't even flinch--he wasn't able to give us the discount code because they were all gone, but I think I am almost more excited about the upgrade to CSR. Did you use the Disney Visa to get the discount? I've heard about a internet rate today for CSR where you didn't have to have a Dinsey Visa, but haven't gotten any info on it.

I did use the Disney Visa code--I'm not sure about the internet code for CSR, but maybe someone else will know and post info about it. I originally just wanted to get the discount off our already booked POP ressie, but they had no more available at any values, but said that he could move us over to CSR for no difference in cost. They might be able to do something similar to this on Aug 16th when they release the codes to the public. Good Luck
